I got trained here a decade back. It was a rigorous course that has transformed my life. I am grateful to Rukku, Ruby, Teenaz, all the Trainers and their team as they are the best. I draw a lot of inspiration from their passionate work, down to earth attitude and their strength in holding high the Montessori Values. I guess they have set high standards that I really feel proud yet humble. Their lectures often resonate within me and guide me with my work with children.I strongly recommend people who are serious on being the change and make education a truly learning experience for children, to opt for AMI Montessori training at Navadisha Montessori Foundation

Wonderful school. Take good care of kids safety. Make the kids to question each and everything.. Making them independent.. Kids love to go to school. If you are looking for mark, then it is not for you...

My daughter is in this school for the past 5 years. I am able to see her personality developall around. I am happy to have her in Navadisha rather than any other typical schools. They always stick to the number of children in class and dont keep expanding just because there is more interest in the school. Admission is very very few in between the years. Value Education 😊

I heard about this school, is like that a good school. When you take my experience, I am not sure how good it is?1. I can say that when ever you try to contact them, no respond from the school. At least they should respond to the mail ID which mentioned in their website.2. Not even giving information when and where to get application form and procedures? Thanks,

Yes, the experience of getting admission is not really the best of scenarios. It is not transparent and the school refuses to give any information during admission. The admission process is also very unclear. But I think over looking that, the school is very good and offers the best of attention to the kids and I love the fact that my daughter enjoys going to school

This is one of the funniest episodes of my life in Chennai. My parents and kid went to the school to check out how the school looks like. We were told by the watchman that he runs the school and he is refusing admission to my kid. When we called the authorities, they refused to identify themselves on the call saying that this is the rules and it is indeed the watchman who decides. The best part was that the english used by the so called authorities (could not confirm if they are indeed authorities) was poor.I would not send my kid to this school, even if it was the only school in Chennai as the moral standards they are setting for the kids is extremely low. There are many other schools that we visited, that were very courteous and gave proper reasons explaining why they cant take one extra kid and how that would impact the quality. Net - I plan to update all forums with this message, so that parents can steer clear of such schools.

Stay away from this institute if you are planning to do the AMI Primary Montessori Course. I was a trainee of the Primary Certification batch (2017-18) and I cannot tell you what a horrendous experience this Control-Freak-Operation was. The course is not only tough in terms of intensity but the trainers are going to make it even worse with the undue amount of unnecessary strictness and discipline that they enforce. If you are aspiring to take the Primary course, read my blog posts at subashsldotcom (replace the dot with . and search for montessori on the site) before you do so. Youll be glad you did. From the comments I have got from readers on my blog youll be surprised to know how many actually want to know about Navadisha and the AMI Course. As of 2019, AMI (@AMIAssociationMontessoriInternationale) have hidden their Reviews page on their Facebook site. This page not only contains my complaint of Navadisha but also contains the thread of comments between myself and one T. Rooney from Ireland who had posted scathing reviews and comments of AMI. Reading these posts a prospective trainee from Africa even admitted that she will not be considering AMIs course. You can access these reviews and comments by searching using my name, subash followed by AMI in FBs search box. Reading whats going at the AMI Schools I have visited youll also get to know what kind of AMI Teachers, Navadisha is producing. I also wrote in detail to AMI about what was happening at Navadisha and AMI assured me that an investigation was in place as they take such feedback very seriously (I have all the correspondence). I was also given an alternative email of an individual, in case I had difficulty with their main email id. I even wrote to one of the AMI Board members. At Navadisha trainees who couldnt manage a basic conversation in English (one imagines how their written project work were cleared) were allowed to sit through exams and viva. On the other hand people who were marked, were asked to Audit, prevented from giving exams and even failed in their exams. Due to the excessive pressure trainees were resorting to all kinds of tactics to complete their work and were also taking help to complete their project work. One trainee even confided to me that not one word in her project files was written by her. Even the eagle eyes of Navadisha couldnt detect that. Two ladies who were asked to leave the course (on suspicion of sharing their project work) took up their case legally and they were allowed back into the course. One of them, citing harassment by the trainers got most of her money back and left the course. I even reported to AMI of a flaw in the courseware that Navadisha has been teaching for 14 years. Sadly AMI stopped corresponding and it looks like they might have even used my feedback to correct Navadishas course material and to avoid readers from reading the negative reviews and comments they have hidden thier Reviews page on FB.Also if you are considering Montessori for your child please take a second look at the Montessori method. I have debunked the Montessori method and the things I have observed in Montessori classrooms and after reading it on my blog you may decide whether Montessori is right for your child. My advice - look for other very promising alternate systems in India like Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, Charlotte Mason and the system that is taking the world by storm - Sudbury Democratic. Some of the procedures in a Montessori environment are so complex and tedious for both child and teacher that it is absolutely no fun to teach children this way. Read all about them in detail on the posts on my blog.
