The worst experience . Asking one report from this hospital. They are saying come and get directly. I am saying please send reports from any mail or WhatsApp but in this hospital they are saying whatever you are too long to come even if you are other state come directly.worst in service.

Chief doctor is very well experienced and provides proper treatment.Heartly thanks for him. Other than that nothing is there in the hospital. Nurses dont even know to inject the injections.Very much expensive. If u are a middle class pls dont prefer this hospital.

One of the worst patient management ever! Pointless waiting times and you are even forgotten that you have come for a consultation. They have to be reminded you are a patient and that you have been waiting for hours.

Very good Dr.Selvakumar Gastroenterologist. Staff too are very accommodative and cooperative.

Dr. Selvakumar: Experienced, but does not pay attention during consultation, does not listen and very importantly he makes phone calls in the midst. Completely unprofessional.If you are busy, dont take appointments, sir.Some lady doctor: There is this lady doctor who writes down the reason why we are visiting in a paper before we meet Dr. Selvakumar. I am not not sure what on Earth her problem is, she is always rude.Appointment: The lady who answers the phone calls for taking appointments is very rude. She cut the call once while I was talking. You will never meet the doctor at the time they said, there will always be delay. You better pack your food if you are planning to visit from a farther place.Others staffs: Comparatively rude as well.Fee: If you pay the consultation fee (600rs) by card, they charge you extra. If cash, no extra charges. No receipts for payment. I am not even sure if they report this money for tax.This is one of the oldest and reputed hospitals, I guess that is one of the reasons why a lot of people visit. Mostly not because they are satisfied with the doctors consultation.

The Dr is rude with patients & their attendants, uses medical terms to explain problems which no one understands. He asked my father to get an OP treatment with an estimate of ₹4500 but finally billed us ₹22000 incl medicines.. Only cash is accepted (why?) and cr card payments attract 2.5% unauthorised levy which is a day light loot. All his cash bills dont carry GST registration. I dont recommend this money minded hospital to anyone.. STAY AWAY...

We have been visiting this hospital for past 30 years But now in recent times this hospital has become so WORST ,that not even a single staff is responsible.Today had a worst experience there..even in this pandemic situation no one in the hospital is wearing mask and celebrating birthday in the mid of hospital and not responding to patients. They made us to go between the 2 selvarangam hospitals to get a simple patient card and we left after 2 hours without consulting dr because of irresponsible and lethargic behaivour of the staffs.Now I understand why many gave worst reviews here...

This hospital deserves the name Robbery. I found nurses watching TV, sleeping on the desk and receptionist cracking jokes when we came for an emergency. Nurses and people there where just Zero and was just asking to pay Money and after doing it Nothing was done. Even after informing they never took a step forward and was chit chatting at their desk. They were not responsible for a patient who is in total pain and was so lethargic in work. I would take this legally and will screw all of them.

Worst hospitals... Today 19 Feb Morning 5 am my father in law came for stomach pain, even upto now doctor not came.... No scanning... Nothing..... In my life a worst hospital... They not even get a single star or recommendation from us. Please avoid to go here...They need money money money....worst behavior from the administration peoples...

Worst hospital in Chennai ..only money mined .. doctor dont have patience to listen patient issue compltly. After listening issues 20% he itself deciding remaining. Pathetic experience to be frank. Doctors are not like professional ones. Thats the reason they are not popular. They can actually start a free camp for poorer sections to boost their name in the market at least. Please give us the best ambience! It means a lot! Choose the nurses and chief docs wisely.

Very knowledgeable and skilled doctor dedicated to his profession. He had treated many of my family members including old parents successfully. Can rely on him anytime. For me he has been the most dependable to trust in very many occassions and also a saviour.

Good hospital for surgery I dont know why others have given 1 star rate, but according to my opinion its a very good hospital, the room was neat ,clean & spacious they clean the rooms regularly ,say three times a day ,water quality was bad ,many number of nurses were there most of them were friendly and they cared a lot for the patient. A patient could even manage without any helper staying along with them the ward man was very kind and helping he was readily available at all time to shift patient for taking scan or what so ever and also he went to shop a few times to buy the patients needs with a small tip. most of the tests such as ECG were taken in the room itself without shifting the patient. Good food snacks and drinks were provided ever day on time

Expensive..... Unnecessary charges. I feel like they are just looting more money. You give cash they dont have change, you give card 2% tax😂😂...Irony. Doctors are good but need better staff and nurses and to improve service.

Got my moms gallbladder surgery done from Selavrangam hospital Anna Nagar Chennai. The treatment, surgery and the doctor explanation was all good. Shri : Doc Selavrangan did a fantastic job in taking care of his patients earlier. Now that its more commercial !! If we swipe card they charge extra , that money isnt accountable at all . Behaviour of staff is just rude and they demand for money from entry to exit .Doc if you cant pay your staff properly, ask them not to ask for bribe all the time. There is no doubt about your capabilities all that we ask is for better service, not a commercial Bill.

I had been consulting and taking treatments in Selvarangam Hospital for the past 31 years and highly satisfied with Dr. Selvarangan and Dr. Selvakumar. I had undergone two surgeries in 2014 (Gall bladder) and 2015 (Umbilical hernia) by Dr. Selvakumar. Highly satisfied. He has modernised the hospital in recent years.

Doctor was very kind and took time to explain the treatment and the cause...he was very friendly and i strongly recommend him to my friends and family

Doctor is experienced but the nurses and reception is too aggressive and do not have any manner of conversation.

I recently had an appendix surgery . And I just respect selvarangam doctor knowledge and the time he takes to explain stuff. Apart from the x factor of selvarangam doctor. Everything was mediocre.infrastructure,facilities etc. They did not have vidal was little shocking. Though nurses are friendly they are not that experienced. Will never forget two nurses chit chatting the whole time when was in ICU. Even after being asked they went on and on. However on the same hand there was a nurse who comforted me while entering the operation theatre.Today i had gone for dressing , Duty doctor , I guess his name is farhaan or Farzan ,behaved as ruthless as he can be .zero empathy towards patient. For a moment with the way he was talking , I felt that Im in government hospital getting examined for free where as I had settled a bill amount of 80 k. Doctor are respected doctors when they are empathetic then comes knowledge.Pls say no if u are left with no option but to meet this guy. I felt very bad today. He had asked the nurse to call my husband who was waiting with my kid. And that genius expects my husband to come in leaving my kid in lobby and started yelling at the nurse. . Seriousllllyyyy.If you are there in that hospital make sure u meet selvarangam doc onlllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy if not you will end up with a very bad experience about the clinic.

14th Dec 2017. 1pm approx, visited on friends high recommendation, totally dissatisfied, this review is out of total disgust resulted by Asst Dr Farsan, had come with excruciating pain in the abdomen, he barely examined & informed me there was no serious problem. Worst Reception attendants doctors are money minded no proper consult above patients even after reserve of time attending multiple 3 patients in a row for 5 minute observation for waiting 2 hours a day. in my past one month experience visited 3 times poor results with increasing causes. Selva Kumar is a money minded and useless doctor who do not seem to have any concern for patients what so ever.I took my mom to him for her continuous vomiting, he did not even cared to go through her history which we provided him.Despite my mom claiming that she has no pain whatsoever in the abdomen, he prescribed her pain killers, also the tablet he prescribed for her vomit had no effect at all.My mom took the pain killer because she trusted him and thought there might be a reason he did, but she was proved wrong, it gave her severe side effects and gave her more pain in the mouth instead of curing her pain.Also the nurses in the new hospital opposite to the new one is harsh with patients, they do not know how to treat the visitors.Over all we had a horrible experience, do not waste your money, may be try siddha or Ayurveda, Allopathy doctors are just money vampires just like Selva Kumar.Thanks

I visited the hospital on 08/01/17 to see my cousin brother who went on surgery. I had a very bad experience with the service given by nurse Gowri who was on the duty.
