SUMMARY: I came here for the first time to get some basic assessments done for education/career reasons. In short, I left without giving my case history or seeing the psychologist due to unprofessional behaviour by the staff and a horrific breach of ethical regulations.LONG VERSION: I entered the premises (apartment repurposed as a clinic) and the staff member on duty did not read me the protocols, explain the clinical procedures, or tell me who would view my personal information/case history. Informed consent was not taken. A number of highly sensitive questions (psychological symptoms/past trauma/dads salary/etc.) were asked in a PUBLIC WAITING ROOM (the living room) with random people listening in. The staff member attempted to take my case history along with that of the person who came in with me. Completely unethical and unprofessional. I requested them to move into another room for privacy (a dusty kitchen) and had to close the door myself when they were still audible to everyone. Another intern asked me to divulge my case history, as well as reveal the health complaints of the person who came with me, and the reasons why I was taking a personality assessment. Again, this was in a public waiting room. Horrific breach of basic practice regulations. I chose not to see the psychologist as I did not want to hand over any more sensitive medical info to such a dubious institution.Masks were not enforced: one very sick client was coughing and sneezing continuously in the waiting room without a mask. Even the interns did not wear masks. Wondering if I would catch COVID-19 here was an additional mental health burden.In short, I would never recommend Mind Zone to any client who values their privacy or their physical health. I cannot comment on the treatment as I decided not to meet the psychologist.

Excellent place for mental health care

Mind Zone is the best place for budding psychologists. I have attended a 3 day workshop at Mind Zone and its the best place to gain exposure. The theories that you learn need to be put into practice and this is the right place for that. They even set the schedule only after taking our expectations into account. The psychologists and psychiatrists working there should be among the finest. Besides, the way of treating the patients is another thing that is noteworthy. Overall, I feel that its one among the best hospitals in India.

I interned from Mind zone for 15 days and had a mix of experiences. I enjoyed the few activities in which I took part provided by the psychologists. But the attitude of the psychologists towards the interns are not up to the standard. They tried to dominate us most of the time and seemed to have set high expectations. I had an experience where one of the psychologists even lied to show her dominance to me. There are also days when we wasted 1 hour of internship time as we were not provided any work for that hour. We were asked to report at 10:00 but the classes begin at 11:15 on some days and at 12:00 on most of the days. I personally felt the money we paid is not worthy for the work we did there. This review is not to say dont choose this organization for internship but to share my experience as an intern. Thank you.

The 3 days i had spent in mindzone as part of our field visit was a great experience for me. As a psychology student it was the first time the expectations of field work met reality. Very good center. the patient listening of the doctors,without time constraints and pressures and other distractions like attending phone calls , talking to other staffs etc, gives us a feeling of having conveyed to them all our problems clearly. parenting lessons learnt have been very useful. the firm, strict yet gentleness with which children are handled gives us a feeling that our kids are in safe hands. further, the ambiance does not give the feel of a hospital.

My experience for my institutional visit here was amazing. I was really amazed seeing how the patients here are not kept as patients buh more better than that. Very worst hospital ...its not a hospital.it is a jail.No doctors will meet the patient at correct periodical. ONLY FOR MONEY.MONEY.MONEY...they are running the hospital. Some people has file a case against the hospital. Particularly counsellor Vinothini ..she is not fit for this job and nurses too. This is my own experience. Please please dont choose this hospital. Some best hospitals are there at low cost with service mind.No..no.. Your reply not acceptable..One day it will come through media. That time public will understand what is going in your hospital. Because of this hospital I lost my promotion. Most of them are normal only. But the hospital administration dont allow the family members on frequently.. in hospital we have to be in the closed room only. They are having Rowdys in hospital for beating the patient. Sometimes they will tighten our hands by using rope/belt. When the parents watching through CCTV , before 10 minutes nurse will call that person and instruct to do yoga or some other activities. Only drama...

My wife was having problems with her sleep. She used to feel tired even after sleeping the whole night. We consulted Dr. Sunil and Dr. Jayasudha for the same. As a psychology student i got a great learning exposure from mindzone to integrate my theoretical knowledge with practical experience.We attended a three day workshop in mind zone which was really fruitful. They followed an interdisciplinary approach by inculcating biopsychosocial domains to address a problem.The hospital setting was also different from usual psychiatric hospital.The team under Dr sunil Kumar was ready to share their experiences and knowledge to the upcoming professionals like us. We also get practical exposure from mindzone which was really worthful.

Blackmailing us that if we want to discharge patient before they say we can, they won’t provide patient history and prescription. Filing a case against them now. Treatment was okay but this kind of blackmailing is not a professional thing for a hospital to do.

Best treatment centre for alcohol and drug de-addiction. The way they explained about the root cause of alcohol disease is very convincing for me. They focus more on psychological treatment for alcohol de-addiction. Most of the centre I know deals the patient as a criminals. But in mind zone they treat the patients with compassion and love. My hat of to Dr. sunil and Dr. jayasudha for their great service.

I have come across many psychiatrist and psychologist in my life for my anxiety problem. Many people treated me with medicines and talking therapy. No use… I appreciate doctors in mind zone (Dr. Sunil and Dr. jayasudha) for their patient listening and their way of approaching the problems. I get rid of anxiety problems now by their exposure based treatment and CBT. They are very good in CBT.
