My feedback from 2 visits.Positives:1. The Doctors and Nurses are prompt, caring and amicable. Sr. Kavitha, ward A and Sr. Priya, ward D have taken personal care of the patient.2. The rooms are kept clean and hygienic, thanks to the cleaning team3. Billing and Cash, Ms. Shanti was very professional, at the same time understanding and very fast in preparing bill and settling payments.4. Canteen food is very good. Service is excellent.Negatives:1. Theres considerable delay every time we buy medicines at the pharmacy. When Indent is raised at Nurse station, the pharmacy automatically gets it. They could keep all medicines ready. But only when I go there, they start taking medicines.2. Payment for room and consultation is charged against the advance paid. But medicines purchases have to be paid for every indent. Why cant this also be added and deducted in advance.3. Canteen staff do not wear masks. SCARY.4. The PRO came just few minutes before discharge. I expect a PRO to be the first to talk to us, assure us of personal care and good service, and to contact him/her if theres an issue. I have admitted my son for dengue treatment. Dr. KUMARAVEL initially treated him and he is one of the best doctors in the City. He use his experience, analyze the root cause, and suggest the best for kids according to their medical history and sickness. Just wanted to bring to your notice the service related issue in your hospital which I have faced today. We have admitted my son on 10/09/2021 due to fever and undergone treatment for the last few days and got discharged today. I requested the staff yesterday to prepare the discharge summary and the bills ready by 8 am as we need to check out early. But it seems none of them took this request and my check out got delayed. They prepared at the last minute after I escalated this matter to the PRO person.Also I believe Discharge summary should be given to the patient/attender at the time of discharge but we didnt receive it yet and the staff asked us to collect it during the next visit with the doctor. I have never seen such a response from any of the hospitals.Also wanted to inform you that one of the PRO people forced me to give a 5 star rating in google reviews page. Review/feedback is something a patient/attender should give and no one should force to do that.Very poor service

Updated review (30-Sep-2021): IP review (delivery- 4 days of stay)Doctors and nurses were very helpful and polite. Different doctors made Multiple visits to room for enquiring health conditions. Dietetients visited everyday explaining diet plans till discharge and post discharge. Nurses were very very helpful with explaining baby care, medications and other daily routines post surgery recovery. Cleaning staffs are also good.About room(private ac room): cleanliness is good. Room area is small. Ac was not working properly (I was sweating at 22-24 degree settings) and even after multiple complaints about this to maintenance team did not help us any day during our stay, at our last day someone came and informed us they cannot fix it because we are staying. Water heater was not available. Plumbing in bathroom was not in good condition with leaks at shower head, tight taps and health faucet output pressure is so huge that it will burst your things in one spray. Otherwise bathroom was clean.About food: liquid foods were good, tasty and healthy. When we shifted to solid food, even though we requested for non garlic food, they gave us garlic food only. They charged food for around 425₹ per day (even if you take food one time a day, entire days cost will be charged). Most of food deliveries were on time. One day we did not receive breakfast, had to inform nurses multiple time to contact food delivery team to deliver food and finally delivered at 10am (after 6am one glass milk). For recovering patients on liquid diet, this miss is huge.About insurance department: the staff I interacted was not at all polite. He explained all my queries with one word, not helpful at all. It was early morning on admision day and he was not attending anyone else.. But On discharge night another person helped me with bills, what is covered, not covered etc and he was good at explaining my queries. But at this point I have no option but to pay whatever they were asking and get discharged, which was delayed till 10pm even though procedure started morning itself. Somebody missed some follow up question from insurance company for nearly 5 hours and I had to go and remind them at 7 pm to reply.About treatment cost: c-section delivery package cost came around 1 lac and 2 thousand (4 days of stay in so called ac room, in these 4 days, one day we spent in non ac room because of non availability of ac rooms) . Had to spent Multiple blood tests worth 7k for mother, 5k for baby. Then there was this non medical expenses around 35k. I was expecting this 1lac package to cover these non medical expenses also. Overall I think 1.2 lac of bill for c section is very very huge and I am not convinced of getting state of art rooms, treatments that are better than other hospitals around.---------End of new Review----------OLD review : 3 star - For OPDoctors, nurses, lab technicians are very polite. Hospital cleanliness is good. OP visit waiting time is huge. Today we had to wait for nearly 5 hours to complete consultation alone. Past visits took little more than 2 hours. Saw Lots of hospital staffs roaming around with masks on neck rather than covering mouth and nose. OP Consultation waiting area (outside doctors room) is very crowded.

The first thing they ask patients going for OP is to pay the doctor fees and provide them the receipt. After that, you are at their mercy. They will make you wait for hours saying there are other patients or doctor is busy with something. If they transparently share the wait time before asking to pay, we can decide whether to wait or not and visit some other hospital or doctor. I had to wait for 2.5 hours before the doctor consultation with a painful toe fracture, though I was ready to meet any ortho who was available. Just because I have paid the consulting fees towards a doctor and my file was kept inside his cabin, I cant see other doctors. Why cant you guys be ethical and get the fees after seeing the doctor or just before seeing the doctor if you think the patient will cheat and run away after seeing the doctor. Locking a patient like this by asking them to pay upfront, you are limiting the freedom of the patient. Hope someone in the management stop this non sense and provide some flexibility to patients who are not ready to wait for such long hours or want to avail alternate options.

Horrible experience.The Doctor was good.But the nursing staff service and the insurance department behaviour was very bad.They charge you so much more, even if you go cashless. Their main idea is making money off people. No proper patient care. The final settlement took literally 12 hrs and the insurance department had the audacity to inform us that the discharge summary was not ready and asked us to come back after 2 days, just to collect it. There is no proper response from the administration for any of the queries.Do not recommend.

Housekeeping team is sincere and carry their job efficiently.Overall, its a much better hospital than many of the bigger names/brands.

We have consulted Dr. Vidya chaya madam . She is very friendly and explained each and every details about the surgery very clearly. Also she has taken atmost care for quick healing.

Yesterday after i was gifted with first boy baby.my doctor devi undertook me and the delivery was normal.thanks to dr.khm.

First of all the doctors are their biggest strength and asset. Extremely knowledgeable and vastly experienced in their domain. They patiently respond to all the queries. Their diagnosis is good. Treatment protocols are tailor made. Post admission till discharge not much stress to attenders apart from billing. Nurses and house keeping staff are kind and compassionate. Home visit collection executives are prompt in picking requests for tests, sample collection, billing and report communication.But I had requested for a home visit to do CBC, D dimer and few other tests. Charges for D dimer was 2600 whereas in Apollo and other testing centres it is just below 960 including home visit charges. There is a difference of 1700 which is too much especially when we are in the middle of pandemic facing job loss, pay cuts, escalating price of essentials and fuels. I wish the management takes not of this and revise tariff to benefit the society.

The staffs are quite good and doctors were very knowledgeable but the pathology rates, cost of medicines were too high when compared to others

I had an appointment to meet Dr Dominic at 3pm. After I reached the reception the man who’s there didn’t listen to my query or details, just told me to wait for a while. After waiting for 50mins I reminded them I have been waiting then the receptionist guy said doctor isn’t available today.1. Think about this being in my place. Will you be interested in going to the same hospital for another visit?2. That receptionist man doesn’t have any interest in doing his job.

Treatment was very good and Dr.Selvakumar sir took very good care of my brother(patient). He was kind and hospitable towards my brother. They even provided a good diet plan with the help of a dietician. Nurses were so helpful and didn’t have any hesitation to help us. The room services were damn good and maintained by a timely cleanliness.We are grateful to the hospital.

My dad was admitted in the hospital for a prostrate enlargement surgery. These are my personal observations.Pros:1) Docs are really experienced people. They are polite, communicative, explanatory in all occasions. The assistants of the docs are really helpful in all occasions.2) The surgical facilities are really up-to-date.Cons:1) The nurses are not technically sound in their areas. They are very impolite, non-responsive to the patients needs.2) The housekeeping staffs are late in responding. We had a very bad experience.3) In terms of overall cleanliness of the hospital. It is average. But the suite room was very spacious and well ventilated one.4) The billing needs to be more transparent. The patients needs to be informed adequately about the cost incurred on each day to know where they stand.5) The foods provided to the patients was average. The cost is also on the higher side.6) There is a fair amount of distance between the operation theatre building and the patients admitted place. The movements between these buildings are done through battery cars and ambulance, which we felt quite uncomfortable.7) There is no adequate parking space. We have to go around the hospital park the car in a very hostile spot.8) The way to procure the medicines for the patients should be more simplified. It becomes quite tough for the attenders to leave the patients and go the pharmacy and wait for quite a long duration and get the medicines.Conclusion: I have given 4 stars only in terms of the docs care and facilities or else it would have been less than 3 stars. Thank you.

Fully satisfied with services provided at Dr. Kamakshi hospitals. Every department is well organized. Staff are courteous. Casualty department handled the patient very effectively, and quickly recovered the patient with right treatment.

Happily satisfied with doctors , treatment. Fees is little higher but compared to other hospitals okay.Most worrying is non compliance to Covid protocol. Outpatient areas crowded like fish market. Though much space is available , poor organization is reason for not following social distancing. Temp was not checked in entrance. Bill payment is crowded.Enforce social distancing.add speakers to call outpatient. Not only patients but doctors/staff will also be happy.

I would say the doctors are good, all technicians are good but I would say there are too many nurses but absolutely no support from any... In the new building OPD, the group of nurses are more than the doctors and patients, absolutely of no use or any support from any... Though they are qualified in English outsiders and people not knowing the language are at their mercy as the nurses just dont speak anything other than Tamil...Request the hospital management to kindly look into this aspect

Hospital services were good except billing dept and pharmacy dept. We faced many issues in repeated billing of certain products which were very high at cost yet we paid kindly see through it. Billing dept should concentrate on their billing part. We are disappointed and there were times where we had to pay for doctors consultation without the vists of the doctors. Kindly see through these things and rectify it.

Covid treatment was very good.Very neat and clean hospital environment. Doctors daily routine check up for patients, and daily updating patients conditions to attendant via. Phone calls its very much appreciated. The nursing staff were very helpful and took care of the patient at any time without getting irritated. For all the 6 days , my mom was admitted in this hospital, there is not one moment that the nurses or doctors refused to care for us. Medications, food everything was provided right on time and our requirements from attender or the patient, if any , were given immediate attention. Theres no delay in any process right from admission,room allotment etc.Every procedure was well talked through by our doctor Dr. Rukumani venkatraman. We were also asked to take a number of tests and number of opinions from few other specialty doctors but we were also informed the reason for taking every tests and consultations which felt necessary too. Also, patient recovery is taken notes at regular intervals. Also every day there is a PRO dedicatedly assigned to ask if there is any queries or any facilities required and given immediate attention. Overall very much happy with the service. Special mention to all the Nurses, House keeping staff, Doctors who attended us.. Even if we ask for them at midnight, they attend to us with a pleasant attitude.

I went for a consultation recently. The Gynecologist - Dr. Devi’s consultation and advise is very satisfactory and understandable. She is one of the best. However, the appointment desk and the doctor’s office lack coordination in terms of time management, Doctor’s availability, no of patients etc.The appointment desk will give some random time and books almost all the patients for the same time. Doctor’s consulting hour is 10.00am to 12.00pm, the desk will book appointments for 10 patients between 10.00 and 11.00am. It is actually in the order of your bill payment. The timings are to count the number of patient’s visiting. There is no transparency as how many patient’s are ahead of you, how long is your wait time, when is your turn , etc..,.The nurses/ assistants will not answer or give you the correct information. we are at their mercy in the waiting area to see the doctor.I hope the management will read the feedback and take corrective measures.

No seating for patients and attenders at hospital. Also no appointment slots reserved we have to wait for longer time to meet doctor and at scanning rooms. They can do better I feel.

I had hospitalized my son for appendectomy. He was attended by Dr. Moorthy Pediatric Surgeon. What made me extremely happy and peaceful with him is that he did not directly fix the surgery and instead examined my son again and went for a second screening to make sure once again that a surgery would be needed. After that he explained the need for the surgery clearly and post surgery informed the process and not leave me uninformed. Nurses who attended to my son were very very kind and courteous and kept him engaged and tried their best to make his day better. Thanks to all the doctors and Dr. Moorthy for making us feel taken care of.

Very experienced doctors supportive staff. Admitted my son for severe constipation. He is autistic and hyperactive. Difficult to manage in any hospital. But this hospital managed him with their supportive staffs for 12 days. Highly recommended.

All doctors and surgeons are good and they provide good treatment.Not recommended due to their bad infrastructure now. Main building is getting renovated but having OT in this building only. Patients have to travel in ambulance from one building to other for surgery. And post surgery room shifting is the worst part, to travel in ambulance inside the hospital. Communication gap between nurses, labs and house keeping is giving a headache to both patient and attendee. Waiting for a long time for room shifting since structure and ambulance not arrived to shift the patient to other building here.

In this COVID-19 situation hospital is very clean and sanitized regular intervals in common pathway and also rooms. Admitted my son for fever Dr.Rajeswari was very kind with kids and thoroughly understand kids health condition. Also thoroughly information about the family health. All the reports were openly discussed with me and my wife. Thank you for doctor support and all the staffs in the hospital in making my childs health back to normal.

My mother was here admitted for vertebral fracture.she skip & fall while doing household work. Here in kmh IFT physiotherapy has been done. Now she fine.Thanks to all doctors.dr.deepak,dr.balaram,Dr.binojohn.

My father under went an ear surgery. The doctors service was absolutely great. But the hospital protocol on billing and other staff services are worst. The non medical amount was collected from us. I saw nurse using only two easyglide blade and I returned another two back to the pharmacy before discharge. In the billing they have added all the 4. Also the easy bath wipe MRP is Rs.297, but in the billing invoice its added as Rs.330. This is an evident of how they steal money.I am now not even sure if they used all the items mentioned in the bill or just added it to the bill though not used it.Very expensive and not worth. Please choose a better hospital.

My 1.5yrs baby had a dental fracture and we admitted him in KMH on Sunday evening. Monday morning my baby underwent a surgery. Dr.Selvakumar and the his team of doctors gave best care for the child. Majority of the nurses were also good. My only concern is that, my baby had to wait for almost 15 hrs for a surgery with his pain & bleed. This is because there are no specialists on sunday evenings except duty doctors. Duty doctors gave him first aid and ensured his safety. If the hospital can make necessary arrangements for the availability of doctors on sundays, it would be great.

Pros:Covid care was excellent.Deeply assessing the patient condition and treating accordingly.Doctors are enriched with the highest level of knowledge in treating the infection.Could not express the service of nurses in words.They are risking their lives and taking care of patients like their relatives.Special mention to house keeping staff, ward boys for their tireless work.Also special thanks to People Relation Team for continuously monitoring the room condition,making patients comfort during their stay.Good job by Diet team and sending the food accordingly.Cons:Lot of paper works even in this digital worldBilling process takes lot of time and the patients/attenders need to wait which makes them more tiredDischarge summary is not being given on the same day. We need to go & collect directly after 2-3 days by calling themIn this digital world, they are not in a position to send the discharge summary through e-mail which does not augur well considering the reputation earned by the hospital over these years.Higher Management needs to take care of the above point promptly and take action.
