Very crowded now. As usual, has every what is needed, but at MRP. No discounts.

New location. Wide variety of groceries and frozen foods. Small fruit and vegetables shop to boot. Plenty of assistance available.

A customer-friendly self-service grocery store in the neighborhood. The staff, mostly young girls, are polite & very helpful. Dairy products, variety of batter, snacks and everything an Indian kitchen would need are here. They sell a few imported toiletry products, coffee granules, ketchup and many salad dressings. Good collection of frozen food including Indian food, deep-fry items and much more. This is one of the very few customer-friendly (Nilgiris is known for it for a long time, from its founding time) grocery shops around here.

Good for shopping fine living products

The shop has a good range of everyday grocery items like pulses,rice snacks etc...the place is generally crowded in the evenings...The customer service is fine...The shop has its own exclusive range of products like idly batter,cake,milk,pastry etc which is available only a nilgiris branches.

Good store. I prefer this only to shop imported sauces and pastas. Also the baked products are fresh, one can buy breads, lav buns, burger buns and pizza bases. Variety of cheese also good.

Nilgiris in Besant Nagar is a very good store. It is fairly clean, the staff is very helpful and one gets most of the brands. We are generally concerned about cleanliness and expiry dates of the items. Both of them are taken care of.Being near the Elliots Beach, car parking in front of the store can be painful. One can park around the corner or better still get there on a 2-wheeler

Speciality about this place is that they keep many healthy food options

Very used to this place. You get most of what is needed for home. Good management and regular refreshing of the goods. Parking is tricky, though.Sep 2020. Nilgiris has moved to a larger area on the opposite of the road. More spacious and more items to buy.

I visited the store and bought Arun ice cream. I felt a small shock when I opened the fridge. When I complained to the shop floor Manager, he said So many people are buying but nobody has complained. I told him that some are more sensitive to current and his response is irresponsible. He said he will look into it.but made no effort to get up from his stool.

Its a proper department store for all of your needs

First thing to say about Besant Nagar Nilgris is that the staffs are cordial and parking space is available for two wheelers and four wheelers. Very neatly maintained. Shop here and feel the experience.

Nice place with helpful staff was able to get some baking stuff like sugar coated ginger which was not available elsewhere

Grocery store with adjoining bakery & veggies shop. Vegetable shop stocks quality and some exotic vegetables for expat crowd. Few products, e.g. bakery items, have limited brand choice, specifically where own label exists, I.e. Nilgiri brand.

Everything was selling on mrp. Eg. Sakthi Turmeric powder 100g is 26 on mrp and they billing the same, in local shops its selling for 18 to 20 rs only
