Tons of games are available to take a break in between work sessions. Coffee and beverages taste good but the food itself was average.

Wonderful location in the calm area, nice ambience maintained by professionals. In the first floor used to attend Jam sessions, talk shows, open mic night programs, seminars etc.. Theme and seating arrangements are excellent. Yet to explore the facilities, food and snacks in the ground floor. Been there for 5times, every time the hospitality is awesome.

Place is good for small meetings and Gatherings. Did a a music cover shoot here. The charges are nominal and they were flexible to use and alter the space. Food provided was awesome.Pricing was very less and its homemade food. Had Ice tea, Buttermilk and few sandwiches.

Beautiful small informal Co working space in Chennai. In the heart of green Adyar, you can relax and unwind. Also a perfect place to work or participate in weekly community programs hosted by backyard clan. They also have schemes where you can make the most of their coffee and snacks and work well to your heart content for that amount of time. Do plan to go there if you ever have writers block, since their environment could do wonders for you and motivate you to do satisfying amount of work. Basically if space could be a muse, backyard clan shows a very strong example of being that space.

The best place to chill in chennai

Place was good, ambient and more suitable for the youth to do project report, quick meetings etc... The rates are affordable and the packages for smaller events are also good. However the free coffee/tea quality is below par and definitely needs improvement. Overall conducive environment for couple of hours to spend time collaborating.

The place that likes to call itself an anti-cafe. I use it at times to work, and boy do I love it. Great little place, usually less crowded. Unlimited free coffee, tea and WiFi is an absolute bonus.Good ambience. Amazing food from different home kitchens. Great place to work at peace for a few hours. Or just hangout with friends over coffee or board games.Id give this 6 stars if I could.

Its my first visit to backyard. I fell in love with the place the ambience, the cozy feel and maintenance.The host was very warm and informative. Absolutely strong coffee (loved it ) and a second cup on request at a 100 rs per hour tab is pretty much the value for money. But hey the place is more than that. Drop in to showcase or see some amazing arts or to just wind up with a cup of coffee and a favorite book or just to take a day off from office and work from here. Updating my review to 1 star. Visited Backyard today and tried to work on my laptop quietly - when a huge group of kids arrive and start making a ruckus. Others trying to work were clearly disturbed, but there was absolutely no attempt from the management to tell the group to be quieter. Sorry, if you call yourself a co-working space, please try to maintain the space conducive to working. Clearly not a place where the management cares if youre able to work or not.

I really like coming to Backyard whenever Im in Chennai. For around 350 rupees, you can get around 6 hours at the place. You can work peacefully and enjoy tasty filter coffee. I think Akshaya has built a wonderful place which has a lot of potential.

The week does stress you out a bit so having a place like this, helps. Loved looking at the paintings, books and games.Few suggestions -a. move the Alsatian dog to the side. Um, not exactly thrilled to be barked at when we are coming into relax -)). It was tied to the other side (safer) of the gate when we were going outb. Please mention the free coffee, tea and wifi. We knew because we read about it. When you didnt mention it, I thought the offer was off the table. About the coffee and tea, can you put it in thermos flasks on the table so that we dont have to ask you when we feel like drinking one

Backyard has been a fantastic workspace to kickstart my course assignments, and gave me the good vibes, energy to get into a form wrt finishing my course. The people hosting us, the atmosphere, the music everything was all the foundation I needed to be motivated :) it has been a good 3 months (on and off) here, and this space will always hold a special place in my heart.Big hugs to Poornima, Ranjitha and the wonderful founders.

Compact and cozy place with on the house Tea and Coffee helps you work better. Can be a bit noisy when it is occupied by a lot of people, especially groups. But generally quiet and peaceful. Well maintained and contemporary interiors.

I highly recommend people to book this place for small business gathering and concerts. Very calm, cozy and breezy environment. A bit expensive but worth the pay.

I wish this was my backyard! On a sunny day, me and my dude was just cursing chennai for its hotness and that way we found this super cool place. This is like a home and you can literally chill in there. This place nothing feels like chennai(hotness). They charge you hour rentals and serve tea and coffee on the house during that period. You can also have home cooked sides which are yummy. You can breath their fresh air, play the tons of games they have. And for the work force you can work at peace here. I can’t stop telling about this place.I personally in love with backyard!

Backyard is really amazing , this is an anti cafe. It lets you explore and you get unlimited coffees here. Its very art friendly cafe . You can paint, draw and channelize your thoughts. You are allowed to practice , shoot and have fun. An hourly based pay and good startup for entrepreneurs out there.

Decent service overall and I personally dont like the idea of hiring a space that looks/feels economical but instead would prefer to sit in better built ambience (you get what you pay for). Food is really good and Id definitely visit the place often just for the delicious food offered.

I had a very bad experience with this place. We had organised an event in the first floor they did not let me feed my 1 year old kid in the ground floor, they told me they will charge for that as well(5-10min)...they are least bothered about their guests. Worst experience

A lot of people know Backyard as a lot of things - a coworking space, an event space, not a cafe, etc. I like to think of it as a place for creativity and freedom of expression. If you are anybody you have got to come down and check this place out for their superb space.

Never experienced it, but rather my parents stay in Amarvaatee (behind) and I stay diagonally behind (Vidya), From what I can remember, it used to be a tailoring shed and now it has been completely redone as per the times. We get to hear good music at times. Fortunately it is very pleasant to hear and most of the groups frequenting it are usually not very noisy and to that extent we are happy that you have maintained a timing of 10 to 10 thereby not disturbing your neighbors.

Excellent place to just sit and spend time. Free wifi and coffee. Lots of indoor games to play. And a small menu with homemade cuisines.

Came here to for co-working workspace. About the space - We were occupying the ground floor that has mattresses, bean bags, stools, chairs, tables, junction box for charging phones and laptop. They also had books, board games, cookies, water, etc. The ambience is cool with soft pop music playing in the background and the overall setup looks very artistic. Do not expect a corporate setup.About Coffee -Hot Filter coffee in dabara set (on demand) that tastes amazing.About WiFi -They use Hathway with 83.01mbps for download / 14.32mbps for upload (when shared within 7 users)
