This place is located in a beautifully suburbs and the staff is very homely an food is also simple yet tasty . A one of the best places to stay in Chennai.

It was long overdue that Assamese people in Chennai have a place to meet, greet and organize various festivals and occasions like Bihu, Saraswati Puja, Rabha Divas etc.

Beautiful rooms, good people with friendly staff, good food ( Assamese thali) ,beautiful environment but for Apollo patients it will take an hour to reach the hospital.

Good place to stay with own people far away from home land. Get to taste local foods along with home land foods enjoy cultural programs, etc.

Very good place to stay in Chennai .Staffs are very friendly . But if some one goes to Chennai for medical purpose then it is very far from hospitals , specifically from Apollo Hospital , approximately 19 KM .

Pathetic condition ... bring you own pillows , bedsheet, mosquito repellents , soaps , towels ..everything. Well furnished but not at all maintained. Staffs are very much cooperative, well-behaved and helpful towards residents of Assam . 5 stars for the staff but 1 star for the poor maintainence of authority.

Very nice place for staying of the people of Assam but inside foods are very costly.

I probably go their to have assamese food . But their food is available for a limited time. So better call before going their.Their is lunch is available for 2 to 3 hours . And they dont have a fix menu for daily . They cook different items daily which is a good thing changing their menu daily. I have dined there several times and I love it.

They provide useful information about Assam and their support is exemplary.

Accomodations is very nice even food quality also, but in case of medical purpose visit if it Apollo then distance is to much.

Just loved this place. Went to Chennai for my fathers health check up in Apollo and I was fortunate to stay in Assam Bhavan, Chennai. The place and the rooms are clean and cosy. The reception is in first floor. The maintenance is good and the care takers are very friendly with good attitude. There is lift services in here so no need to worry for the patients. You can easily reach the main city if you call an Uber or ola. They will pick you up from the gate itself. Security is also good here in case you worry about that. The breakfast timing is from 830 am, lunch from 1pm and dinner from 830pm. The caretakers will call you from time to time to ask you what you will have for breakfast lunch and dinner. So the services provided is up to the mark. The room in which I stayed costs 900 bucks. If you have a govt ID that shall be the cost. Otherwise probably it will be 1200. Beside this building is the Orissa Bhavan. Downstairs they have a beautiful space to walk like a garden. Kitchen and the eating area is very clean and just loved the food as it is just like home cooked food. The prices are also not that high. Evening snacks like Momo and pakoras are also available but it is not listed on the menu. So if you want to have just call the care takers and inform them. If you are not able to go downstairs to have your meal, they can get it delivered to your room, you just need to inform. Overall I was very satisfied and hence gave it a 5star. The people are doing a good job maintaining the place. Loved it.
