They are ready to pay the refund amount rs. 100000, Feb 2020 we put Pre-kg admission for our son but unfortunately corona period school not open.my son not even went atleast one day to school but they asking fee. Already paid Register fee Rs. 5000, Admission fee Rs. 10000, 1st term fee Rs. 23250 and casual deposit of Rs. 100000 (refundable). We Asked only refundable amt but they are not response....Here most of the people written positive comments about the school but its false information.

Request the School authorities to shift the existing +2 classes(April-2021) in Ground floor to avoid top floor heat in this summer, when the school is empty.Many of the students complains that it was very hot & they are not able to wear the tie, I am sure the Management will understand the difficulties & must come up with some relaxation policy for atleast not wearing a tie for the last few days of the School.

Very hectic school, they make fuss over anything and everything,For example, if you bring lollipop to school and they find it, instead of saying something like eat it in free time, they cruelly take it away .It also has Horrible food, very horrible school.

I studied in this school from JM1 to 10th std... here only our communication skills gonna get upgraded...... they only seeking for good results..... physical education is zero.....They would retain or not send a student to sports if he do not study well!!......Totally knowledge will not be gained in this school!!!

I joined this school in class 5. Academic wise i have no queries and problems but this school have facilities to provide an overall education which is required for growing student are not been functioned.we have big playground but our school is poor in sports.Recently CBSE has launched SEWA program where students are to do some activities like servering lunch ,handling PRE-KG students etc.. and have to write a report on our activities. but the activities are not held by the school and students are forced to write a bluff report.SEWA activities enhance humanity.

My son studies in 5th standard in their Perungalathur branch.Today I went to their Chrompet branch for his transfer as he gets in there for his 6th standard.Since day 1 of my entry into their premises in 2014, what I always wonder is, their systematic approach in everything.You dont stuck anywhere with any procedures. There will be someone guiding you in each of your step in their premises, yes - literally every step.

Good school. Compare to other schools in Chennai, this school is best in many ways. Especially taking all responsibilities as along as the kid is studying in the school without extra cost. Surely the students will come out from this school as a good human being. Recently fee has been increased but still it is lower when compare to other schools in this category. The fee includes lunch, snacks, books, uniforms, foreign/local tour expenses, other sports activities etc. The school wont demand any extra payment in between, apart from quarterly school fee. Excellent in communicating with Parents through written circulars well in advance. The school can improve their website and provide more useful information. IT should be improved. Quality of teachers can be improved further. My two children are studying in this school.

This is one of the best school I can name in chennai, In current controversies people are being bit emotional - including the correspondent. if we set aside that and look how this school has functioned so far. people familiar with the school will know , this school is not money minded, as two of my kids are studying in this school . be it school trip, annual function, weekly project, any function. even the payment of fees and distribution of books, the school ensures the parents time and effort is not wasted, they plan every details meticulously. What has happened now is one unwarranted situation, which has pushed all to distant corner. hope things will be back to normal. praying to god , hoping this will also pass by.

Many parents have invested more than 5 Lakhs.The Correspondent has not demanded donation till 2018 from any student. He is good straight forward genuine person. Correspondent Sir Mr. Santhanam requested loan from Parents when he was in crisis. I came forward and provided him loan for which he told that hell repay with interest. This happened before three years. Due to my Job transfer, I had to take TC. Now, Mr. Santhanam Sir is refusing to pay back my money that I gave to him. Though I have receipt, made several phone calls in three months, walked to school several time but no proper response. Still he didnt he give back my money. Didnt expect this kind of behaviour from Santhanam Sir & SSM trust.

School practices the highest standard of ethics and teaches moral values to the student. The school operatives are not at all money minded. Very much saddened to see the people that are not associated with SSM in any way are commenting on its admission procedure and money mindedness. The admission procedure is highly equitable and no discrimination at all. Very few schools in Chennai accept the money receipts through bank accounts with the fully authentic bill for any amount. No additional charges for School events, Education tours, all three meals till 2nd Standard and fabulous lunch for all other students with utmost courtesy. The respect the students extend to support staffs and vice versa is phenomenal. The brothers and sisters that work in the lunch hall serve any available dish for any number of times to the children enthusiastically. The students also have no hesitation to ask for the desired quantity of food. The same with the transport staffs as well. The school events are so meticulously planned and it is very interesting for the parents like me to participate in them. Many times the parents are also served with lunch/tiffin. The courtesy extended to the parents on an official visit to school is deplorable. All the facilities are fabulous. They also show modesty in celebrating the gifted student’s success in academics without affecting the students that are not so successful so that they don’t develop inferiority complex. Their intention is to make students as a good human being when they come out. I too agree with many of the positive minded people that there are some hasty decisions made by the correspondent and his team in the backdrop of the huge financial stress forced on his trust by few wrong judgments/strategies and few corrupt elements forced their evil actions. From my judgment, this correspondent is a noble cultured human being and will keep his words and if possible help him to come out of this situation. Spread the positive news about the school. Refrain from posting negative opinions without fully knowing the facts. Already many substandard schools around the locality are trying to poach the students and want to celebrate the closure of this fabulous school. I request you not to be a trigger for the closure of the school. Santhanam Sir the correspondent will understand the shortcomings and will try his best to repair the damages in the utmost ethical way. He is not syphoning the school funds to any unethical or undesirable destinations like the corrupt elements such as Vijay Malya or Nirav Modi or Lakhvi and the likes. On 24.11.2017, Friday Morning bus number 2190. I was passing through the bus i saw there is a man inside the bus who is taking care of childrens. He was brutally beating the kids on head and the kid was started to cry. I had seen in one bus but i dont know how many childrens are treating like this.Dear Management,You cant let this happen for kids, The parents are trusting you to takecare of their kids but this behavior towards the children they did not expect and they will not accept.Kindly do the needful.

School is ok, good form the point of disciplining students and if need be parents as well. One can be assured that kids will never go out of hand when they come out of this school. School also teach kids bajans and slokas and do provide strong moral values. In my opinion these values and discipline can be taught at home, let us not forget parents are first teachers to kids, so it is the responsibility of parents to teach children values. Any school is expected to provide good and sound fundamental education which is found wanting in Srimathi Sundaravalli Memorial School. It is found to be missing to a greater extent. They have excellent infrastructure facility for sports, but I wonder still they have not produced a single state level champion in any of the sport they teach in the school. They do allot specific time slot in their time table for sports, I wonder why this is not sufficient. School management need to revisit their policies.

Let me give a honest review, when I say that, I am not taking any sides either with the school or the people who are showing their anger against this school and let me take a neutral stand and provide some insight around this school. The school was one of the best disciplined school in the area and it is known for its exceptional discipline which I guess you woudnt be able to find in any other school. The fee charged in this school is not that high compared to any well equipped school in Chennai. For the facilities the school provides, I feel that the fee charged is pretty decent and the way the administration functions in enforcing the strict discipline in every thing they do, really surprises me... I am not boasting this but in reality that is what it is, they function with utmost planning and accuracy in whatever they do, take the instance of school pick up and drops, the staff in the bus is very courteous and disciplined. Once you admit your child in the school, the safety parameter is a absolute zero concern for parents which I can bet not many/ few schools in the city can match. The school teaches how to be good human than education in this school. The kids are so well behaved.. But the recent happenings in the school in the last few days seems to have tarnished the image and reputation of the school. From what I have read in the news it looks like the Correspondent has got into a serious financial mess recently and his SSM builders project has gone wrong with serious financial implications due to which he has started demanding the 2 Lac caution deposit from the existing students which was one the biggest blunders the SSM man has done and the implications are what you are seeing in the news now. If you ask me on what you feel about the school, inspite of all the other things, this school was the best in the area for any child the parent would vouch for and this scenario was till the recent mess happened..post the mess, i feel the school and its children are at cross roads and the future of the school hangs in a question mark?? I really feel sad and frustrated at the same time.... !! The situation could have been handled well by the correspondent as he had a complete control on the school ... it looks like the financial pressure has pushed him to behave like this !!

Very nice infrastructure.but roads to this schools are very narrow.I would like to rate this school with merits and demerits.Merits.:1.Safety of kids2.nice playground which is hardly present in other schools.3.Good discipline.very organised .Demerits:1.Too traditional.They lay rules and make u follow .2.quality of teaching is just average.(please mgtmt see to this very seriously)3.no inter competitions encouraged( no Olympiad, no spellbee etc)4.kids dont participate in inter sports competition.
