Studied here for my entire school life. Now that Ive been out of The School KFI for a good number of years, I have great respect and love for the place, the teachers, my fellow students, the freedom they allow and teach us to allow in any space that we move into. There are experiences of great value here, if one just opens up to this school of thought. As an alumnus, I can say the student life here is a treat and a learning at the same time.

It is a good school for those students who are not completely focused on academics. Many of the teachers are really good. there might not be much exposure to competitions and competitive exams.The overnight trips are good. This might not be the best place for students wanting to score marks. There will be competition between students and there might be students having some exclusive privileges. Overall it is a place where one learns to think, question and answer.

Which child doesnt like to learn in an environment without peer pressure or competition? Krishnamurti expected education to prepare children for life, and thats what the children get here. Children are encouraged to think freely, that will help them to deal with the challenges in life.

My son studies here, and it is a most amazing institution. In keeping with J. Krishnamurthis philosophy, students grow up to be mature, well-adjusted, responsible citizens of the planet, confident in themselves but without the dog-eat-dog competitiveness that marks so much of todays education.

The school is being shifted to to Thazhambur (two kilometres from Navalur junction on Old Mahabalipuram Road) in 2018 from Adyar as the land lease is over and now the students may have to change the school be prepared to travel over 4 hours to and fro in travel .The School is one of the most elitist with 1-20 ratio and it has no LKG starts with 1st standard and with affluent families dominating.Now KFI has a differentiated fee structure and it not known as how much each one pays.It is a good school for those students who are not completely focused on academics
