This is the Government Medical College in the Omandurar Estate, which runs MBBS course for 100 students intake per year for admission. Unfortunately, the campus is neither suitable for a Medical College nor for its original intended purpose (Assembly cum Secretariat complex). Thus, both the former Chief Ministers failed (actually the citizens) miserably in their execution and are equally responsible for spoiling the tax payers money. Now there is a rumour that the college and its specialty block will be shifted elsewhere, which will be another serious blunder if acted upon.

Hospital inside college always for case study. Many staffs are coming only after 9 am even though their Duty starts at 8 am. Since its free treatment, we cant expect more or complaint.

Visited here for psychiatric treatment for my mother. Doctors understood my mothers problem and provided best service for free of cost. Now my mother is completely alright with out any side effects as we were taking tablets from private hospitals because of which she had lot of issues after spending so much money. Many thanks to the doctors for their wonderful service.

Now it is a covid center, covid tests are taken here. Good responses from docter , nurses and attended . Workers over there trying to make the hospital very clean and hygiene. Government also providing best funds and support to enrich the development over there.

The place is neat and clean. Well maintained for a government hospital. The treatment and care are much better than most private hospitals. The staff are empathetic and supportive.

Great hospital started by our ex beloved CM , even though there might be plenty of politics behind the opening and the giant premises available, it cant be discounted that it s one of the finest facilities available for Oncology ,Medical , Surgical and Radiation with Endoscopy Suite ( first Floor)Second floor is dedicated admin wing with Blood BankThird floor houses the wards of Cardio , Cardio thoracic and Radiology On Left and on Right has the Surgical and chemo ward.Fourth Floor is Neuro, Reconstructive and Nephro wards.Fifth is for ICU - Probably one I believe which could have been on ground or One .( Hope Wise people have a good reason for the same )Sixth is for OT and Private Suite

Services for covid19 test is not good. They chareges money for rapid test & for rapid result. Staff behavior towards patients is not good except knight swift. They helped a lot to me in lockdown period. I need the results for travelling purpose so went their.Better to go for private if you have enough money.

One of the best medical colleges of Tamilnadu with all modern facilities. So much clean and tidy for a govt college and Hospital.Will become number one soon beating other medical colleges of TN with efficient top grade teachers and staff.

Treatment for covid patients is an utter disappointment. They dont even care about the pains the patient undergo. Really pathetic patient care. Having clean environment matters second, but patient care is utterly worst and they charge for covid treatment.

I will give 4 stars for Infrastructure, 3 Stars for the cleanness and 2 or 1 star for the personal.Even they dont know what are Govt rules regarding some matters. When U ask for Covid Test, they give oral report. Especially when U tell them I need the test taken 48 hrs before landing and hard copy, they will say they cant give like that.When U press on, call the helpline and tell them these jokers wont speak to them.When U need something in writing, they cant even take a printout, asking people to run out of hospital to look for Xerox shops. Tamilnadu health minister should open a separate helpline to handle the matters of Tamilnadu hospitals and get improved more quickly always.

Everyone mentioned about infrastructure and the outlook. I am giving five star just because massive infrastructure. No one will say its government hospital. Lets talk about cleanliness. Poor cleaning workers are not paid good i guess. Everyday they are starting their work unhappily. So that they are not doing their job with satisfaction. Washrooms are not at all clean. About staff. Few of them are so polite and good. And few of them are rude. Lets talk about doctors. I know few doctors here. Dr.Manimaran sir HOD. Who is very good in nature the way he talk with the patients. Orally he will remove the pain from their heart. Dr.Varaprasad such a humble person. Dedicative at his work. Dr.Kannan he is very different from others way of handling nice. Main thing physiotherapist doctor who comes to explain about the exercise. He is very very very very polite and so calm and kind.they way he treat the patient all good things only about physiotherapist doctor..Process wise lazy guys. Lazy staff. As we see in movies government staff means they have something superiority in them. I am the boss. Lazy staff. Few of them rule us. I have names but i dont disclose their names. Best medical college with best faculties and best infrastructure with very good job facilities with full of beautiful sorrounding.

Op they are taking only from 7.30 to 1.30. And I went to check with skin doctor. Skin doctor only available on Monday that too from 8 to 11.30 only. These all should be available on daily basis. And maintenance also not that great. Emergency is functioning all the time. Free tablets are great.
