Great service to public by the government of tamilnadu.no cost for any treatment .out patiens are crowded a lot like festival day shopping .clear diagnosis and polite doctors .taking proper and enough time to examine patients.early morning before 8 a.m.is good time for patients for better satisfied treatments.scan, ecg,x ray,ct,mri, endoscopy and so on .everything free of cost .mostly middle class people seen here .patience is very much important here.wear mask, get good water bottle .for stomach related and sugar related please dont take breakfast before coming to hospital.have packed food to eat after long waiting times must spend atleast 3 hours here for all to complete.dont come after 9 .p.m which makes you face lots of crowd in each area of lab ,x ray ,etc.

These four stars are rated for the treatment and sincerity of the doctors and nurses working there ,but I would recommend everyone (general public) to beware of the scam going on there...its very sad and dishearting to say that, even though the medical college is being run by the government officials or doctors ,but they do not have any control on the system there....the krystal group staff who are under contract there demand money like patients or their attendants have money growing on trees... The dean of the college should take some action on such kind of people...and to your surprise I have seen this krystal group staff demanding money like hell...their security do not wear mask...

1925 - In response to the feeling of Nationalism and keeping alive the ancient systems of indigenous medicine the school of Indian medicine was started. The degree conferred at this institution was L.I.M.1947 In accordance to the recommendations of the Usman Committee, Chopra Committee and the Pundit Committee of Government of Madras and Government of India, the character of the institute was changed, upgraded and named as College of Indian Medicine. The college gave the degree as G.C.I.M.1948 The college was again renamed as College of Indigenous Medicine and one of the three systems of Indigenous Medicine, Ayurvedha-Siddha-Unani, should be chosen by each candidate who joins GCIM and Allopathic Medicine was common to all.1953 The college was renamed as the College of Integrated Medicine. The course was shortened to 4.5 years and one year of compulsory house-surgeoncy on par with MBBS course. Government ensured that the GCIM graduates could practice both the systems of medicine. In 1959 the first batch of GCIM students were admitted and in 1960 the College of Indigenous Medicine was closed.1960 The Integrated Medicine Course (MBBS degree) was started. The first and second year GCIM students were given the option of joining the MBBS course, while the senior students were offered the D.M&S on completion of the course and bringing them into the allopathic fold.1965 The college was recognised as Women Medical College and named as Government Kilpauk Medical College, admitting only women candidates for MBBS degree. Meanwhile, those who had completed GCIM, D.M&S were given the option to undertake condensed MBBS course at the Chengalpattu Medical College to obtain the MBBS degree and come into the fold of modern medicine.1967 The women students agitated to have a co-educational institution and the erstwhile Government of Madras granted permission. Both men and women were admitted to the MBBS degree from 1967.1972 Development of the Medical College was set into pace with the Surgical Block coming into being. Later all the different super-specialities came into being between 1972 and 2001.1981 Intensive Care Unit was sanctioned with 10 beds and was commissioned in June 1981 by Hon. Dr. H.V. Hande, the Minister for Health, Government of Tamil Nadu. A 50 bedded comprehensive burn unit was sanctioned on the I floor of the out-Patient Block and was commissioned in March 1985 by Hon. Dr. H.V. Hande, then Minister for Health under the Presidency of Dr. Lalitha Kameswaran, then Director of Medical Education.1984 Department of Cardiology was sanctioned with Prof. S. Thanikachalam as its Chief.1987 Department of Nephrology was sanctioned and commissioned in July 1987 with Prof. C.M. Thiagarajan as its Chief.1988 Department of Surgical Gastroenterology was sanctioned with Prof. Srikumari Damaodharan as its Chief...

KMCH is one of the worst government hospital. Referred to admit on emergency due to preterm labor pain, but no treatment started for more than 24 hours, training doctors are involved in check ups where patients are turned as a practice material for them. Doctor are always busy writing case documents no attention to patients in pain.No basic cleanliness, lots of infectious things are left just like that.Government instead of giving money to patient please invest in better infrastructure and assure good care to patients and basic needs.Patient rights needs to stabilized

I took my wife to Kings Corona Hospital Guindy on the early hours with Covid symptoms and she was having difficulty in breathing. We were mercilessly asked to leave and go to GH near Central. Reason.. only Covid patients are entertained here. They call it Corona Hospital and the joke is, they dont have Corona Test facility and there is no Covid Suspect ward. The height is, they asked me to go and get Covid positive report..but why they said this. My state of mind did not let me to appeal and Kings Corona Hospital wants to wash off us and not ready to extend any help..Luckily, I visited Saidapet Hospital and I was immediately referred to KMC.. Which was wonderful thing. My wife got admitted in KMC and immediately they administered Oxygen support and treatment carried out.She got recovered in 8 days (almost from the critical condition). Instead of wasting time here and there, going to KMC was life saving suggestion and we are thankful to KMC team for their awesome facility, treatment and care and Saidapet Govt hospital Doctor for timely direction.

Not enough bed facilities in labour ward. Post delivery you were supposed to rest in floors before shifting to wards.Rest rooms were not hygiene (not even water facilities)There is no communication between NICU(for newborns) & wards(for mother). You cannot get complete information on what injections where given to your newborn. My baby was given birth dosage hepatitis B injection which got infected & my 50days baby has undergone surgery & suffering for the past 25days due to their negligence.
