As an alumni of the girls school, I would say please dont send your kids here. They treat kids who score low marks like second class citizens. For the sanity of your kid, please consider better options.

I had studied in this school long back. This school treats North Indians as superior and South Indians dejected. I had no happiness while studying in this school. We cant play and no encouragement in sports activities. They only concentrate on studies and Arya Samaj proposition. Typically strict but worst school.

I have my kid in this school. I cant say this is better than mine, but definitely its one of the good schools. I have seen lot of people do not like this school because they got rejected, but then I have heard there are 5x number of applications. I dont think the admin will have a valid justification for all the rejections given that the number is so high. There are some nice improvements in the admission process like new online application for the LKG, no need to stand in long queues.

DAV Gopalapuram is extremely practical, no frills with plenty of opportunities, good learning, excellent teacher student understanding. Its a wrong notion that they do not give emphasis to Extra curricular activities. You should see their sports, their art and drawing classes, yoga classes etcIn short, I am extremely happy and satisfied with the school. I am a mother of a DAV student.

This school made me into what I am today. A lot of good memories here.A downside is the segregation by gender. When other top schools (and other DAV schools) in the country and even in the same city are co-ed, I cant see the rationale behind this.Such segregation leads to stunting in social skills of the students, who need such skills more than ever in todays competitive world. I am not exaggerating.Merging the DAV Gopalapuram Boys and Girls school into one elite institution will undoubtedly be a demanding task. However, I (and many many others) believe it will be well worth the effort.(Batch of 2013)

Dav is RSS base schools. The staffs r very rough with parents. If ur kid character in joly type means dav dont like that kind of kids. If u parents want to be happy with ur kid plz dont join there. If u want to join ur kid in dav my suggestion is go for hostel base schools that r better then dav.

We went to DAV nursery school for LKG admission of our son for year 2019-2020. He completed 3 years 7 months by March 31. (Their expectation: 3 years - 4years by March 31). There were too crowded people sitting in a classroom - we entered with our son. Noticed the class room is not brightly lit. Also, some kids with parents sitting in the front table with access to puzzles and toys. We and a few had to sit on the back with our kids - these kids did not have access to the puzzles and toys. (this was not welcoming to our kid). Hence, I had a paper & pencil for my son to draw and pass time, while the teachers interviewed the kids one by one. There were three teachers going around interviewing kids, each kid was answering in his own way. While a teacher came up to my son, he hesitated to talk to her. He wanted to go out and play, as he noticed the play area. He was allowed to play as he was not ready to talk to the teacher. Appreciated so far. Later, the head teacher (or principal of nursery, may be) came to see my son and another kid who refused to talk to the teacher. After 30 seconds jut calling my sons name, she said to me, He is not ready for lkg now. Come back next year. We were shocked to hear this statement. We said, he is a shy guy and takes some time to talk to new people. For this, the teacher asked us not to brand the child as Shy. Come on, we do not brand our kid, we say that they cannot expect all the kids to talk to teachers the first 5 minutes of meeting them. As parents, we know our kids better and only we could talk for them until they can take care of themselves. We were shy kids and so is our son, that DOES NOT MEAN he is not ready for LKG. After our leaving the premises, they called us on our phone to ask us come back and wanted to give admission. We checked what changed their mind - with no proper answer for their behavior, we had to turn down their offer of another chance for our kid.Dear teachers/Principal,Please note that you are interviewing 3-4 year olds, you cannot expect all kids to be an extrovert. PLEASE LEARN CHILD PHSYCOLOGY and make it mandatory for teachers of kindergarten. Your success is shaping up these young minds to successful adults and not brand them or deprive them of their right to be themselves.

Best school in the city . Im a passed out student from this school . Like any Ody else , never realised the importance and greatness of this school untill I got out of the school . Its such privilege to have studied in this school. Theres no compromise on terms of standard of education provided there . The may be strict but its always to maintain the discipline of the student . They have very good reputation for inculcating discipline into the students which do definitely have a very good impact on the student for the rest of his life . Only drawback is that they do not encourage much other activities other than education , like sports and other extra-carricular activities . Its just that they wont give much importance to them . If one wants his child or sibling to get a very good base or knowledge he can blindly go with this school . Although its one of the oldest schools but the standard they provide is updated and to the maximum that any CBSE school can give . Most of the teachers (except the new ones recruited due to expansion ) are very experienced teachers in the respective fields . Thats more than enough .

This is pertaining to the school admission at D.A.V boys Gopalapuram that has become nightmare for most of us! Where I had a very unpleasant experience. After spending 5 hours in a long queue for application and even for submission of L.K.G form, with a sigh awaited 2 days for results to come. Shortlisted students list had been displayed on the notice board with sections. My son’s application number was not on the shortlisted list. I FAILED TO UNDERSTAND ON WHAT BASIS THEY SELECTED/ CATEGORISED AND REJECTED MY SON’S APPLICATION? This sounds very crazy when the answer is - MANAGEMENT CAN REJECT THE APPLICATION AT ANYTIME WITH NO REASON!? And one more reason was TRAVELLING DISTANCE – You should be in and around with 1km. it means though your kids are talented and blessed with good skills SCHOOL will not allow your kids to grow as he/she is far away from the school.D.A.V could have listed down the criteria and stopped us from standing in a Queue as we are not fitting in their listed criteria. Of course none of us are ready to waste our time making business for others. They sell education/application for cash. All just for fame? They could have allowed everybody to download the application like other schools do. This at least would not have hurt coz no time and money was being spent on the same as we are working parents. We are not putting up so far from the school. It hardly takes only 10 min to reach the school whereas others got seats though they are residing far away. Honestly, when a school doesnt allow a little KID to enhance his future with them and rejecting for no reason HOW CAN WE EXPECT ETERNAL SUPPORT. As a parent I am not revealing, because I didnt get placement for my kid but worrying about the school who has missed so many good students. They are not providing education free of cost. Then why pertain to these measures. - NOT WORTH AT ALL.I BELIEVE A SINGLE VIEW WILL NOT MAKE BIG IMPACT ON OTHERS! As a parent I am entitled to know the substantial reason for rejection I believe

The worst school I have seen in my life where the school staff are undisciplined, arrogant , loose talk. If Maharishi Dayanand would be there he might have died seeing this situation of the school where his main pillar of arya samaj principles are everyday teared and thrown making it just to lie hanging on wall. I feel so bad about this school for its present suitation like this.Regards......
