I did my Lasik power correction surgery here recently. Nurses are very friendly, tests were dont quickly and efficiently. Doctors made me feel comfortable and helped me calm down while I was nervous during the procedure.They get almost 1500 patients for one ward everyday. Due to the high volume of cases, doctors are highly experienced and trustworthy.Highly recommend to patients from low income backgrounds. Procedures are very nominal. Free treatments are done as well.

The hospital is sparkly clean always. The staffs, nurses and doctors are extremely friendly and they give us the best care. From the moment you enter the hospital youre guided by staffs till the end. They ensure a smooth process. The hospital has separate seating area for attenders and canteen is also available. Medicals and optical store are present. The place is crowded always, so visiting early in the morning is best.

This place had a Car parking in basement and it was clean and good. I went in the morning hours in the middle of the week still found lot of people. It was well organized and wait time was not much worse. New patient registration process also very simple with only basic information which is required. Consultation fee was reasonable. During the wait time, had a chance to visit the restaurant and it was clean and good. Had breakfast and it was good too. Overall I am very much satisfied with the visit and consultation. I had visited this hospital on 8/10/21, to check my fogy vision on my left eye.At reception they collected rs 100 as registration fee and our details including adhar no (for what reason they only know).People dont believe there is free treatment in this.Only for peoples aged above 50.Hospital management thinks that, those people who are not able to pay fees are to be aged above 50.Then I tell you about my check up experience.One lady came and guided a batch of person to room no 102,103.I had been guided to 103 and asked to wait in that hall.There are more than 10 cabins in that hall, you must have to be alert while waiting in that hall, because sisters from any of the cabin will came out and call your name( like in court).First they check your vision through computer,it will show your power difference in that system.I had told that person that I had foggy vision on my left and i had doubt of having cataract.From that cabin I am guided to another cabin for manual eye power check up.In saravana stores they examined both computer and manual at same place (which specs I am wearing now.As usual manual testing was done .I told that person also my problem.He said that I have slight cataract in my left eye.Then I was guided to another cabin, there they started the initial process which has to be done.Eye pressure,and BP check up.By that time , time is around 1oclock in noon.All doctors gone to lunch with all patients waiting in there with out having lunch.One girl examined my eyes and started to talk with me in english, when I also started to speak in english she stopped speaking in english.I think she is not an opthalmologist.I think she is of very young age may be 20 or 21 years.She sits inside the cabin named as DOCTOR.I explained my problem to her, she was wearing a protective gloves with which she cleaned her testing lens and examined my eyes for foggy vision.She told me you are having no problem in your eyes.I asked her again about my cataract in my left eye.She said there is no cataract.I again told her that person who tested my eyes told me that.Here I have to say one thing, in shankara netralaya opposite to DPI , I had checked my vision four years back ,that day itself they told me cataract was developing in my left eye.From there I was guided to optics stores.I told them that I have spectacle with me.Person tested me also said that it is sufficient now.They give me the glass power prescription to me.Then those reviewers who says canteen food price are nominal.I had bought one meal 60rs ( which is actually half meal outside)and fried rice 75rs for my wife(that is also half).Price in canteen for food is not low, for middle and lower middle class people.Over all my experience there was not great, not even good.To the management not my advice, please appoint doctors (opthalmologist) to inspect patients eyes.

My uncle had his cataract eye surgery here. They were well organized and the entire hospital functions like a well maintained piece of machinery. One main thing was that the fees were nominal but without any compromise. The doctors are well experienced. The hospital tends to get crowded due to this fact so visiting early in the morning would be the best option. They have good parking facilities and very good dining facilities too.

Went for an regular eye check-up. Infrastructure is more pleasant & place is so clean and tidy. Nurses & doctor are very friendly and made me feel so comfortable and they explained me clearly about my defect.Tests were done so quickly. Fee is very cheap & reasonable. Optical(Glasses) shop is also available.

If you have some good hours which you wanted to spare in hospital then it suits. Its a good hospital without doubt but you feel unattended for quite a sometime unless you had to ask them... Though its a big hospital but the progression from activity to another will attract high time that leaves anyone easily frustrated...!

One of the finest hospital for complete A-Z eye care. Excellently organized in such a way that Check up hardly takes max max 1 hour. Works 5days a week. Critical/Emergency care handled on Sundays also. Lowest fee, purely service oriented as always since their inception as a group. And there is a canteen in ground floor with excellent quality breakfast, and lunch. Spectacles shop available in the same venue.

I really wonder this Kind of hospital exist in Chennai nowadays. They take good care of people. Dont forget to go with your Aadhar card here. The infrastructure is so huge with a parking. There is no parking fees for your vehicles.I went to check my moms eyes. After the check up they provided spectacles for her. But she is feeling high headache after wearing those spectacles and she doesnt get clear vision while she is working on her laptop. And when I registered a complaint against them, they called us back and checked again. Thaks for that.

Went to aravind eye hospital for my fathers Cataract eye surgery. The operation was done as said on time and treatment was really good. The hospital is very clean and neat. Patient care is also good. Even the canteen food is good but charges less which is really appreciable.The only thing which I felt bit hard was waiting in each section because most of the patients are old people and they cant wait for along time. That was the only thing which I felt could be improved.

Treatment is best with nominal price for checkup on all kind of Eye treatments. People can do cataract, can take treatment on orbit issues and can get opticals in low/ minimum cost. Excellent hospital they are giving consulting in a subsidised price. My 3 year old kid injured his eyes with a scessiors fortunately it is minor injury but we want to get consulted. It took around 2 hrs since it is crowded. Waiting time didnt bother me much since very pleasant environment, sisters were so cool in handling the crowd. I felt people dont have patience. We have to realise a place with so much crowd will take time. But if we sit with patience then process will be peacefull. Some of the review they mentioned time taking. Obviously it will take time if it is a crowded place. But aravind eye care is really good in handling the crowd very well. There is no much noise inside the hospital and no hospital smell.In terms of consulting,2 doctors reviewed my kid. They immediately said nothing to worry it is not deeply injured. One doctor asked to dilate make sure nothing is deeper that only took some time because my kid doesnt close eyes after drops they have to do 3 times. I felt calmness in the whole hospital.

Even though it is a private hospital, its very cost efficient unlike other private hospital. Lots of services are available here and the staff is also very kind towards the patients . Even in the cafeteria the staff over there are kind and helpful. But one disadvantage I had was that the waiting time was a bit long but due the friendly environment it was not problem. Doctors and nurses here are quite professional.

I visited the hospital yesterday as my sister and me were having some discomfort in our vision glass which was purchased three months back in the optical shop placed inside the hospital itself. The staffs are very polite and explaining our doubts but the lady Dr who were in Comprehensive unit 2 was not polite and not ready to answer our queries. Not only me, my sister also felt the same and the Dr was rude with my sister. Actually we have problem in adopting to progressive lens which we are using for the first time. When checked up this doubt with Dr she simply referred to opticals and when checked up with optical section they first told to buy a new glass (as Dr prescribed for new glass) and when i told the glass was bought 3 months back only in your shop then they simply told u have to use it regularly even though u get head ache/vision blurring problems etc., then only your eyes will get adopted. They didnt give any tips on how to use the progressive lens. I spent almost 4000/- for this glass in that optical and while working in laptop i cannnot able to get clear vision (even now writing this review with blurred vision only). We felt very bad coz our problem have not solved either by Dr or by optical section. Then we came back home and i started browsing in the net for how to use progressive lens.My opinion is some Drs are very rude. The Dr treated me yesterday dont even have patience to answer the patient queries and she is with irritated face and her answers were also not polite. Also dont buy glass in the optical shop stationed at the hospital. They will not guide for your optical problems. Otherwise the hospital is very organized, neat and clean.

Frist time I went here. Eye power Testing was okay. The nurses do the power checkup ( took 5 -8 mins for me ) and then unknown ( no name board) doctor gives consultation ( < 2 mins) . Overall it was only around 10 mins work. Previous Hospital it would take around an hour. They do many test. One of which is they dilute ur eye ( give u some drops) which was not done here. When I asked the same, they said only for first time checkup they do dilation. Maybe that is all required for a general routine checkup..Then I went to spectacle shop there and asked them for a change of eyepad for my specs. But they informed they is no stock of eyepad. Its unbelievable actually in one such big Hospital. They didnt not take interest in serving me as I had no idea to get new specs there

Came from that hospital. Very clean and properly maintained hospital. We gone for my mother right eye cataract. All sisters and doctors which we met for us are very helpful and kind. My mother undergone laser and cataract for another eye. Now both are good, thank u doctors and nurses god bless u. Cleanliness was very good canteen available veg only, canteen food was tasty and clean, mediation room available, medical shop available, optical glass shops available, escalators and Ac waiting room. Nurses r kind. And in-patent wards rooms are good, we got admitted on the day we did operation. Very comfortable bed fan and pillow blankets. And remember to close the windows if u r staying there. Bike parking open, car parking covered available ample parking space for both.

I did an eye hospital search on Google six months ago. Google showed me the American Eye Hospital in Saligramam, Chennai. I looked at the review written in it and went on believing it to be true. I went for a normal eye examination and was told that I would have to take two types of scans after putting eye drops and sitting down and it would cost Rs.2000 / - per scan. There is unlikely to be any problem in my eye. However, I had no choice but to pay Rs. 4000 / - for the scan and Rs. 500 / - for the doctor fee. Rs.4,450 / - for the glass. A week later they gave me glasses. Wearing those glasses could not see anything clear. The complete lens was zig zag. I was very disappointed to hear about American Eye Hospital.At Aravind Eye Hospital first it seemed like, to look at the crowd how long have to wait, but then the crowd was systematically divided and sent for all the required tests one by one, the same time amazingly fast. It was a very nice place.The eye examination was completed at a fee of just Rs. 100 / - and Rs.1800 / - Progressive glasses were also given within an hour on the same day. Arvind Eye Hospital, located at Poonamallee, near Chennai, is maintained with the utmost care and respect. Great dedicated Hospital for poor and needy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks.

Very poor service. They do not call patients by the order. Also made us wait for a long time telling us that the spectacles would be ready with in 2 hours but it took almost 4 - 5 hours for delivering spectacles. No one is genuine. Hospital is good but certain staff are not. Would not mind to go to private eye clinic next time rather than waste the entire day here at Aravind.

The way the commitment is wonderful. The location is very easy to reach even from Tambaram. The nurse hospitality is outstanding. Trust filled placeWorst:-When all other departments are wow and the one department which is just not at all bothering about the patient making the complete process in delay. The above said all positive things are getting spoiled by the department 532 in fifth floor. No response to patients. Just waiting for long time without knowing whats going on inside is not at all acceptable when aged ppl are sitting.What is the use of 100Rs registration fees and making patients to eat lunch as mandatory process by spending money due to this one slow moving department 532 doctor examination after the ECG. So if this get corrected. Then I think its complete process. This need to reach to the management is the only intention for me as lot aged people are approaching

Very big eye treatment hospital.Very well equiped with latest equipments.Maintenance and cleanliness is very good.Very low cost for treatment. ECG -₹130, SUGAR-₹40Staff are behaving good.Doctor explains the problem very well.In few places the response to our queria of very good.But in many place response is very bad.We need to wait for long time for councelling and consultation.The hospital structure is not well organised, In service it lags in many places.Room rents are very low.Only few insurance companies card are accepted.To claim the insurance externally, we need to inform them before treatment, so that they ll provide the documents after discharge.Parking area is very big, Toilets are very clean.Drinking water is available in every floor.Home food area is available behind the hotel ( back right corner of varanda), even receptionist is unaware of this.

This hospital accomodates all private and government insurance . Location : exactly opposite road to Savitha university , Maduravoyil.

If this hospital has zero star I would have given.. dont fall for the free service and big name.. went to do lasik consultation.. checked in at 8... they took me to 103..Finished refraction basic checks ups...They sent to again lasik scan...Lasik scan finished at 11..Was sitting simply for Nurse to call me.. meanwhile doctor who is cornea specialist never even saw my face .. saw my reports and asked few question and asked to wait outside... I asked her whether wat lasik Im eligible ... she never spoke reg lasik.. and I waited outside for long time..at 1 pm nirse telling put eyedropper for dilation....I asked y... she said for retinol scan.. I said I was sitting simply.. u would have told before...Just they waste ur time.. till now doctor never spoke to me.. but they fixed my operation... on Thursday... funny... y are they doing prk.. wats prk lasik.. consultation nurse told it may work out or wont...Cornea doc said to do prk.. was the nurse answer...Irresponsible.. .. are u ppl going to give ur eyes to this ppl..finished eye scan at 4pm

Plz viewers first read the previews, when go through the hospital or some other places also,the staff nurse are not well trained,ithink not giving importance and concentrate to d patients and were chatting with other nurse.and takes so much time for treatment.for example (1 hr checkups, they take 5hrs for it). doctors also not bad but not giving importance to d patients ithink.better to move some other hospital.

No order followed when gone for eye checkupBecoming money minded.Charged INR 1000 just for Oximeter during the day of surgery. When asked for reason theres no proper explanation from them on the tests done. Patient clearly stated its only Oximeter fitted. No other tests doneNever stay in rooms as its completely waste of money. No care shown. We had to put the drops for ourselves ....or need to followup with staff nurses every hour

Great Infrastructure, excellent parking facility, good connectivity has its located bang on the main road.Courteous support staff right from reception to nurses to pharmacy staff. But, cannot say the same about doctors. I went as out-patient and the doctors were so afraid (I went during covid time May / June) to even touch my eyes. Only nurses and support staff were so courteous and attended me well.4 stars only for the staff, 1 star for doctors.

Worst service provided among all branches of this Group. They do not call patients inspite of hours of waiting time. We have to enquire ourselves on what has to be done next, when we will be attended. Nurses here doesnt even attend doctors on time. They call this as Services but what offered is worst. We should wait an entire day just for basic vision check up. Salem hospital services are far better than Chennai branch. Inspite of being location in State capital, they offer such a pity service worse than basic clinics. My suggestion is do not waste our time visiting here. calling for enquiry/update is nightmare. Why do the call this as Service when its not there in reality?! I wonder.

I liked Arvind eye hospital Poonamallee very much. Very excellent facilities cordial staff nurses & excellent doctors avl there. Good for eye problems.
