Prices are a bit on expensive side compared to taste of the food, Nice ambience and well maintained, not such a crowed place but a go place for some one on journy to have a satisfied bite. The staff are polite and helpfull here they listen and answer us very patiently.Over all a good place for a happy meal

By the time we reached, they were out of thier signature Thalappakatti Chicken Biriyani so we had to go for this Chicken 65 Biriyani. For the hunger we had, this was just amusing. But the quantity and the pricing is disappointing.

Hated totally. This branch spoils the brand of Dindigul thalappakatti. Only fried rice and chicken lollipop was available. Egg fried rice and veg fried rice were just same, too salty. Just very less egg was added in veg fried rice and served as egg fried rice. Vegetables in fried rice was not cooked at all.Hated chicken lollipop to core, not tasty or fresh.In other branches the food served is much better and tasty. This branch is really spoiler. Just waste of money and time. Instead of eating in this branch I could have skipped my dinner. Will never visit this branch.. Never.

The food was good. Courteous and polite staff. They have taken care to maintain a good ambience for a restaurant inside such a busy railway station. Well furnished and has made good use of the limited space available. Theyve also tried to implement social distancing in the wake of COVID19.But then, I find it a bit expensive both in terms of money and the quantity of the food served. Could have at least served complimentary drinking water.And the prices listed in the menu are exclusive of charges. So when you get the final invoice, it would be more than what you thought of.

Going a lot to Chennai, I have always seen this restaurant everytime I go. This time I had decided to eat something with my friends as well. Ordered the chicken biryani and Veg Noddles.First thing I would really like to mention is Quantity vs. Price ratio, its really need to be think about. Secondly I would like to mention I had ordered Ved Noddles the quantity of this was ok but it was not cooked properly even though I have waited for like 20 minutes to get my ordered food. I think it wasnt worth waiting.I would like to suggest the owner to look into those matters.

Extremely bad service. I had to wait 15 min for the menu then another 5 min for the order to place.. During this time i saw 3 customers fighting with hotel for being late and one lady walking out without hope after waiting for her parcel for 30 min. Finally they served me after another 10 min. Price of a takeaway Mutton Biriyani is Rs. 275/- which is the same as the normal stores. But the quantity is almost only half as much as the normal stores and there were absolutely no pieces. Also the gravy was as minimum as possible. This is nothing but abuse of brand image and exploitation of the people running to catch their trains in urgency. Absolutely pathetic.

Wouldnt recommend this place. Things are quite expensive here compared to the quantity and quality of items presented.Though this place looks crowded (as it is the only one of the few places in the station were the person can have food seated compared to the nearby takeaways) I wouldnt take a second chance here. They are taking advantage of the customers need and time, thereby making items expensive. Waiters too have few little respect towards the customers...

Biriyani was ok.

The Chicken Biryani i ate here was good and spicy.Those people who like to eat biryani with a bit spiciness can go here. And Its not pocket friendly actually.The quantity is also less. And the price is too high for that quantity. Its around 200Rs.

We were given a very thick book for their menu, going through which we selected our dishes. And the waiter informed that none of that is available but only two items. And the given dish was cold and not at all fresh.

Only One staff available here , conjusted place , no cleaness, staff is rude with such an attitude like your stomach if you want food you have to wait till I came It take half hour to take order. Dont be fooled by the name Dindigul Talappakatty. This restaurant is very different from other outlets. They served only two dishes and quantity was very low. The waiter came to me exactly half an hour after I got in.

Worst experience. Probably surviving because railway station do not have much choice. They seem to pay very less to staff as their intelligence quotient is very low. You ask for a service and you will get opposite. For eg. I asked them what will be delivered quickly ,they said egg biriyani. After waiting for 15 mins and seeing people being served who came after me , i finally got it. Biriyani was not hot proving they could have served it well before. Probably the intelligence to understand how to properly optimise seems to be lacking here.

I ordered Chicken Biryani (for parcel)in Chennai central railways station BRANCH..Taste was Good....but quantity very very very low.....There was no proper chicken piece at all inside tht....once micro piece was there, size was like 5rs dairy milk chocolate (small)...1 empty bone with that...As I want to rush for train I didnt checked clearly in restaurant....once I entered into train I opened...I was shocked...by seeing tht no chicken piece......And main thing is EGG was also not given....bt if we eat in restaurant they will give..I saw in restaurant some ppl eating ....D nly thing is taste is good...tht masala spiciness I got....but I was fully upset about quantity...sorry

Worst ever!!! I had never experienced such a bad experience with any of the restaurant.Service-1/5,Food taste-0/5,Quantity- -1/5,Look and feel- 4/5,Staff-3/5. I saw same from other customers too. They are takin hell lot of time. It took around 38 mints to get a fried rice and paratha with chicken gravy. And the quantity as well as quality was very low compared with all other Thalapakatti I ever visited. Hated to core.. Never ever going to step in again.

I have bought one chicken biriyani yesterday (05/10/19) from Thalappakatti in Chennai central railway station and they have charged me 220 bugs for one single biriyani. During my travel when I was having the biriyani, i hardly was able to get a chicken piece and that too full of bones and found not worthy for the price even with the taste.

The place is too small and you will need to wait in the q for getting a seat. The biriyani is good as regular with the thalapakattu style and flavor, but the plates and spoons that they provide are unclean. This might be due the number of people coming. I got a bit worried when I saw the spoon. It still had food stuck to it. Overall get a parcel and eat somewhere comfortable.

Hello All. Visited Chennai for some official work this April,for the first time. Eating Idli/Dosa/Wada for about 1 week ,I was almost fed up. Finally found this recommended place,got so excited,the very next day i visited it and got a big surprise. THIS RESTAURANT IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Dhindigul Thalappakatti is one such fine refined place, serving excellent Biriyani for years.The Biryani is spicy, flavourful, with enough meat to satiate any Biriyani lovers hunger.Not my first visit to this outlet & this chain. Have been a big fan, but their price point is very high considering the quantity you receive for the price. I was too close to ordering another portion for my hunger & in the last minute decided against it.
