This place is one of a kind! Amazing coffee that isnt heavily overpriced and the quality is oh so good. Personally, the 70s jazz music playing inside made me fall in love with this cosy place 😊

Coffee Trotter is a small, cozy cafe that you want to visit on a cool, drizzly day with a book in hand. Their bar stool type seating is perfect for a solo traveler. The women who make the coffee so perfectly are very professional, kind and welcoming (They always ask me “Would you like a cup of water?” As soon as I enter. Small thing but very important!) Every coffee I have had here has been excellent - Cortado / Cappuccino or Mocha. They do not make a Flat White though.Please skip the Starbucks nearby and make Coffee Trotter a habit when you have that caffeine craving

Small and friendly place. Its more like a neighbourhood cafe. Because when I went there, I could see that everyone knows everyone. Their filter coffee is good. Not a strong one but the flavour is powerful. Black coffee is light in taste and flavour—a typical V60 brew but a refreshing one. I prefer more robust taste notes. Their Poundcake is a must-try. It complements the coffee and is very yummy.

Every time I visit new coffee joints I get a new kick. And this time its from Coffee Trotter, they have the best coffee in city right now. Very small joint but its worth and I should say one of the kind right now in Chennai. They also sell the coffee makers and beans. We are lucky to get CT now.

Ok where do I begin with this place? Don’t let this small quaint little place fool you , this charming little coffee house offers amazing specialty coffee at reasonable prices. The service and the staff are unparalleled. I would definitely recommend this place for coffee lovers as you can see the love they put into every cup.

An absolute fantastic place, love the fact that its small, cozy and has few but most definitely fantastic items. Its addictive to visit. Definitely try the banana pound cake :)

It is tiny a hole in the wall place.The place accommodate around only six people. When it comes to the seat arrangement, there is just a long table where people share with others.Menu is very simple and price is affordable.Given the small space, many people pop in and take coffee to go instead of staying in.In terms of coffee, it is really good. Personally I think it is better than ones in Starbucks.

A nice, quaint coffee shop with great tasting coffee. The music, the ambience and the coffee transports you to another place. Once you are in the shop, you won’t know you are in Chennai.Every city should have a coffee shop like this. The seating is comfortable, the staff is courteous and the service is too good.Must visit and this will become a regular with me.

Visited this recently opened coffee shop after reading about it in the newspaper 2 days back. What a lovely cosy place. I tried the hard bean black coffee with banana pound cake. Super tasty coffee and the cake was moist and delicious not very sweet perfect for my liking. The place is done up nicely with the barista’s brewing coffee in front of the seating area. Coffee aficionados should not miss this place. It’s a place where you go alone sit and sip coffee having a chat with the barista’s or reading a book. It’s good for me time. They have few coffee table books about coffees!!This place is run by a local and a Japanese expat. Give your love to this place guys.

Best coffee in town! Artisanal and perfectly crafted. The lack of syrups and toppings on the menu tells you that they are serious about coffee, and coffee aficionados should give this place a try. The hand drip coffee is highly recommended. The temperature is perfect and the coffee is smooth with amazing bouquet. I am lucky to have met the owner, Hirano san. He sources the beans from a farm in Karnataka, roasts the beans himself and even the baked products are home made too. The interior is clean and minimalist. A breath of fresh air from the busy city.

Must try: filter coffee200 bucks was quite expensive for this hideout!, but was worth it I guess. Staff were polite and knew what they were doing. Coffee was great, recommend anyone for this cute coffee joint!

A small cozy paradise for coffee lovers. First ones to start the specialty coffee experience in Chennai. Ive never been to any cafe which cares and crafts every cup they brew like the way Coffee Trotters do. And when I say crafted not just the coffee but every detail from the spoon, to the music, to the books, etc... I wouldnt find anything that I out of place in this Cafe. Its just all about coffee, only coffee.My personal recommendation would be the Clever Dripper black coffee, its one of the best Ive tasted. This is gonna be my coffee getaway inside the city!

Tiny but mighty coffee shop serving the best coffee in the area (thats saying a lot considering the area is packed with boutique, gourmet coffeeshops). The space is very small allowing for a few stools around the counter BUT they make up for it by serving quality coffee, being super clean and inviting. Best for take-away. They also sell coffee beans and different well-known coffee implements/tools (aeropress etc).

Best cafe in Chennai. Cozy and well mannered staffs with some good coffee. Quitting Starbucks from now and moving to Trotter :D

It is so great to see Chennai filled up with places that serve artisanal coffee! For a city that swears by classic filter coffee, places like Coffee Trotter bring about a side to coffee that is so beautiful! This place is tiny but the construction is so artsy that it will capture your heart instantly! I am so happy to see the experiences you are giving everyone. Can’t wait to visit back soon
