Very good service and tasty food at reasonable price. Staffs were really friendly and great approach by the restaurant. A must try place for everyone at least once. A well suited place for family as well as friends. Unlimited food is worth its price.

On Sunday we decided to try 500 unlimited on table leaf buffet , DK @ saligramam. Place was extremely good and neatly maintained, customer service was a huge letdown we booked our table 1 pm but food got ready by 1.40 during that time we been waiting ,they Served dishes in a very slow manner and noproper service, each time we needed call person very pathetic service, previously i been to this place it was extremely good, food taste was OK but not value for money we pay

Loved the dishes which are all I had over there. The restaurant is nice & clean. The ambience is good. The food served of great quality & taste, as the masalas are hand made. The hand made masalas enhanced the taste of the food.We had mutton kal soru which is one of their must try dish. DK 47 gun chicken which is also one of their signature dish. The mutton sukka is so nice and juicy, soft. Its mouthwatering when typing these. The egg kothu parotta was too soft and easy to swallow rather than being dry like on some other restaurants.Overall the food quality and quantity was gud & enough. The homemade masalas made the food delicious. Coming to the price range which is normal like most of the big restaurants in Chennai. A great place to dine in with friends, family & for couples. Ask your friends to give treat here at important occasions/celebrations. Apart from this so many different dishes are available here like mutton stuffed idly, Kari dosa etc.,If you are a person looking for tasty & different variety of food or a native food lover then thiss the place for you all... I went to vadapalani Samys dosa Kal. Most of the dishes are prepared in tawa(dosa Kal).I tried many dishes.overall it is good. Particularly dk special biriyani,prawn thokku and Mutton Kall soru are delicious. They are serving Goli soda also. But it is not actual Goli soda. They have to improve in serving. Cost is also nominal. For two person its 600. Over all it is good.

Served more 7-8 starters but mostly all chicken based items were on same taste and the all food quantity served was very less mostly they served in some old traditional cup (thoonai) made of leaf.. other than that all food served was 99rs but they tally the cost by serving less amount of food

Was a good experience. The ambience is good. We went around the closing time and unfortunately couldnt taste a lot of dishes. Friendly staff.Located on the mainstream Vadapalani area is an added advantage. Very close to the Bus Depot. They serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

We had egg biryani and chicken lollipop yesterday and all of my family members had food poison and admitted in hospital. Not sure whether the biryani or chicken was the reason. I was regular customer for this restaurant with buffet -499 till last Sunday. But have requested them to bring mutton head for second time and they just ignored and let us waited for this dish, finally we were said by one of the women server that this dish is not available. Meanwhile other tables are receiving the same dish. Im worrying a lot that I made that day for my family as bad day as they just insulted us. Since we are paying buffet around 2500 rupees for 5 members, its too bad for getting insulted. So we are ending up with Samys Dosakall and found another very tasty and best restaurants - carnival. Please try for carnival Raja bogam buffet which is costing around 681 inclusive of taxes, definitely you will be going many times.

We went there on a weekend especially for the 499 feast that was created a big hype but disappointed to hear that we need to inform them 1 day prior without which the 499 feast will not be available. It was not mentioned anywhere on their social media handle or Zomato or anywhere where they were promoting. Apart from that the dishes were good and prawn gravy was very authentic and tasted good. The quantity was less compared to the price.

Its not a Good experience. We booked for a served buffet lunch. The dinning reserved for us is in between Hand wash and kitchen ☹️.Initially they kept the home made sweets. After 10mts a soup(which was not even warm) was served. It was said as Normal soup(?). Again we were waiting for next dish. After few minutes Biriyani was served in table spoon(?). Few of our friends got chicken piece. When we asked for some more chicken piece, they said its a normal biriyani (?). Onion raita was served once we have almost finished the biriyani. Then they started to serve the starters. Fish fry is too oily. Boti is unpleasant. Chicken lolipop seems to be from new born chick(too small size). White rice is uncooked. The dry Chicken was hot and tasty. Crab is well cooked. Kadaai soru was burned. Goli soda was served on demand.Overall the taste is not up to Mark. We will never recommend this place.

It is in the new Carnival foodcourt on first floor. They have made a big investment on the ambience and interior design. However, they totally fail on communication and service. Their menu is an enigma that could challenge the world war 2 code breakers. Their personnel are grossly under trained and have no clue what the specialties are and the items in the menu. I had to sit in the restaurant and google their history to find out whats good about the place. The food was good and affordable however. I had the time and patience to try out some specialty but even their manager did not explain things well. Finally ended up ordering chappatis and chicken masala (again, not in the menu). This place would do far better if only a fraction of the cost invested in wall painting and furniture was spent on training their service personnel. I have given three stars for the ambience and food.

When I heard about the 499 feast got interested and added to my bucket list. Last week we 6 persons visited there for the thalai vazhai virunthu and along with us 5 kids.A superb good unlimited feast. It was started with kadalai mittai and then around 10 non veg dishes which was unlimited. Everything was awesome. Especially we loved their prawn thokku, kadai. I never had such a tasty kadai(quail) earlier. Top class taste.The next highlight was mutton Kal soru a perfect blend.The parotta was so good.They served paarai fish as std but none was doesnt liked it and we reported the same within 15 mins we got Vanjaram sheer fish fry in DK Style which was out of menu. Really superb a spl way of cooking. Loved it. As a customer we delighted with that immediate reaction to our feedback.For kids we have ordered fried rice and noodles. Both were at 99 each. This was another summer spl scheme all the items in their menu is at 99 plus tax. Which is actually a pocket friendly solution.The guys served with a smile even at 4:30pm upto we completely finish our lunch. Really got impressed with their service.In deserts they served Goli soda in Orange and panner which was unique. Then we had ice creams and rose milk.Overall we had a great time and enjoyed their service. I can even say their service is 6* one 6 out of 5.

This place is recent favourites for me, the food was too good and after longtime had the authentic south Indian food after very long time.Going into the restaurant you can see a lot of old pictures and art showing how the owner of the restaurant started off the shop from a roadside kiosk to a restaurant, he had been making and selling food in the night while going to college in the morning. Yes, that’s quite an achievement and started this at 1980.The ambience of the restaurant is very simple and neat and very spacious enough to accommodate a large crowd, this place attracts mostly the family crowd and it was half full by the time I went which was around 7 pm. The restaurant BG music is added advantage to keep the oldies feel, they play the old movie songs which takes some of us back to our childhood while for some it takes them back decades.Food, the proper authentic full-fledged south Indian food.We started off with Nattu Kozhi masala soup, the soup was perfect and very good for the sour throat I was having. There could have been little more pepper it would have more punch to it.For the starters, we had Kaadai Roast, Mutton Sukka, Crab Curry, Vanjaram tava fish, Kaadai spl. The kaadai roast was simple and neat and I honestly didn’t expect it to taste good, the mutton sukka, the taste was phenomenal and the vanjaram fish was also too good in taste. The mutton sukka had the flavours well in it, the fish was marinated well. Crab curry was good and the Kaadai Spl I felt the masala taste was similar to mutton sukka.In the mains, we had briyani, Kari dosa, and Kal soru. The briyani was bland in taste, while the other two dishes were vera level. The Kari dosa too good and reminded me of the dosa I had in Konar mess, Madurai. The Kal soru is nothing but the rice is cooked on the dosa kal itself, and the flavours and masala are added on top it. This was piping hot and was tasty to the core.For the desserts we had Elaneer Payasam and Gulab Jamun, the Gulab jamun was very usual in taste while the elaneer payasam taste was just perfect, not too sweet, it had the tender coconut pieces in it making it delicious.Overall the experience was really good like I said there are a lot of family restaurants that serve really good tasty food like these which we miss in the fast-changing world.
