Variety and taste is authentic. Price is on the higher side due to presence in the mall but not too high as well. Staff are good and covid protocol is maintained well
Today I went with my guest.. Biriyani served with old nasty mutton. I never expected this thing from karaikudi mylapore.. Please avoid this dining..
Worst quantity for overpriced food and the taste was also not good. Too much salt in all the food. And Ill add the picture of the quantity of the food. Please dont cheat the customers. I asked whether the quantity will be sufficient for the overpriced food and the sales person from the take away services guy said itll be more.
Good food and quality of food is good and ambiance was very great 👍👌😋
If you want to waste your time and money for tasteless overrrprized food then this is right place. Even home made tamarind rice will be better taste comparing Biriyani served here. If I have authority to ban a restaurant this restaurant will be my only choice, good for karaikudu restaurant that I don’t have that authority.
Worth buying , quantity is good, rice was little uncooked, but it was ok. Taste was good
My first trip to India, I was in Chennai city in Tamil Nadu state. I went to traditional Indian food restaurant, try traditional cuisine, my experience was good, delicious food and the place too. At the end of the lunch try sweet species and help remove spicy flavor from the food and also for digestion. Recommend!
Spicy non veg food. Go there preferable for lunch on weekend ..
A sumptuous and one of the authentic chettinad restaurant in Chennai located in Radhakrishnan salai . Their food and flawless flavour stands proof to this reputation. I had parotta and mutton chukka gravy along with chicken 65 ! The best masala you can have ! They have ample parking inside the restaurant.👍🏻✌️
Worst biriyani ever had in my life
Ambience was good, taste of food couldve been better, cost was ok for such a hotel, moreover we pay for food not for the ambience
Ambience needs improvement, not much decor to bring Karaikudi effect. Food was decent and staff behaved well much better than the Manager who was rude. I am still giving 3 Star rating for the name. Better improve your hospitality skills and ambience before someone rates you low.
Good food. Reasonably priced and excellent service
Good place to have dinner and lunch with family. The receipie is spicy. Good place for spice food lovers.
Affordable restaurant. Has maintained the looks and feel that it had around 10 years back. Fast service. Recommend the Prawns 65, Liver Fry, Parottas.
Food is very good.More options for Dinner compared to Lunch.Little bit costly, but considering the location and food quality price is ok.
This place is terrible after lockdown. Customer service has died a sad, sad death here. The manager just wants to fill up, and empty the tables as fast as he can. Half the items in the menu are not available. AVOID. Try Amaravathi very close by, its better by miles.
Awesome food, pick of the menu was mutton chukka and Chintamani chicken worth the money, they can improve on their non veg meals , biryani was good, worst was their elaneer payasam never try that just coconut milk with nuts and coconut bits
Receiving people inside the Restaurant was good.Quality of service provided by waiters was good.
Very disappointed with the food..They served us stale food just by heating them. Also there is foul smell coming out of the chicken dish. When we complaint about it the whole staff comes together and started arguing. We left the food as it is and paid the bill.
Food was very good & delicious. The desert - carrot halwa topped it all. Good place for authentic chettinad varieties.
Ambience was decent, food taste was great , prices were also kinda reasonable..
Very bad quality and too much cost
Non veg heaven this is, mainly Fish dishes are at top of List. Worth trying
Worst place (phoenix mall,, chennai ) and service..They dont know how to treat customer....We are waited for 1 hours to take my oder... Worst worst ever... 😡😡😡
The rasam they serve alone warrants repeated visits. A peaceful authentic vibe overall.
Was not satisfied , veg food not up to the mark, my opinion.Do not know about other customers.
Loved it! Great Ambiance! Tasty food
Went here to take away chicken pepper roast today night around 10.They charged me 270rs and they gave me literally of 4 small peices of leftout chicken the whole daywhich would maximum cost about 100rs. On take away ..Very poor and costs high and very disappointed
Loved the Biryani, particularly Dalcha
Spicy foodNot worth to visit again
Very bad experience. Fish was not boiled properly. Chicken fry didnt have salt and wasnt spicy.
Very nice Chettinad Mess.So many non-veg varieties are available here. Chicken gravy is the ultimate. One of the best non-veg hotels in chennai
With so many new outlets this old restaurant is still got it own style and taste. Got a bucket briyani, it was amazing and I felt it was lighter on the pocket too. Waiting for the lockdown to be lifted to try the entire menu.
Good ambience rates are pretty high and quantity was not satisfying
Worst service pls dont go with family. No taste .. especially chicken biryani horsome.
Once upon a time the food was good. Now looks they have outsourced their kitchen.Biryani was oily and the choice of the rice was of low quality.
Have been to this place many many times in the last 3-4 years. Amazing food both veg and non veg. Their meals are worth the money being spent. The ambience of this place is good. The lighting could be improved in the evening. Definitely must visit place in Chennai.
Very bad service and taste less food
This place is good...the food quality is very nice
Nice restaurant with good food menu and friendly atmosphere.
Calm, nice south Indian food especially for elders who wish to come occasionally with their loved ones. That is what I observed. Price also moderate. I suggest the mangegement should offer 20% discount for 60 year and more.Advertise in news paper see the crowd. ...
Taste is not bad and quantity is very less.
Good taste and well sanitized
Worst ....... Everything
A safe bet for Chettinad food
Seriously? The quality of the food is didnt match the price they tag for the food. Ambience , restaurant look never satisfies foodies... Lot to improve on the quality. I can cook better than them... Service is good. But we go to restaurants to eat, not to enjoy the ambience or service.
We had biryani which was something like tomato rice(🍅).
Food is nice but quantity less😊
Good old restaurant. Serves good Chettinad style dishes. Restrooms could have been well maintained.Food tasted good.Located on Mount road, close to savera hotel and Woodlands theatre.
Nice restaurant for chettinad cuisine. Every item that we ordered were good. Decent ambience.
Authentic Chettinad food served at a reasonable price . I ordered non veg unlimited meals, mutton chukka, KCR fried chicken and Jigarthanda .Non veg meals strangely had non veg gravies with out any pieces of fish or chicken in them. All food items tasted very good . Jigarthanda could have had a bit more chill to it .Service was excellent. Ambience reminds you of some old style home . Interesting placement of vessels and pictures add to the aura of this place . Definitely a must try place if you want to try some authentic Chettinad food.
A good evening walk at Marina Beach and reach this restaurant easily. Mutton Appam is a must try... All kinds of food within the budget
Best chettinaad food in Mylapore
It is a nice Non Veg hotel, Veg meals also available. Traditional Nattukottai chettiar house model hotel with rich values. All types of Non Veg items are available here. Also it is situated in the heart of the city. Ample parking facility is there. you will have pleasant Family dining and small gathering also very useful. Taste is very good.
Always good curtious people good food
Happy
BIRIyani taste is not good
Taste is too good...Service is excellent , and Quantity of food is good....Over all its so nice .We like it.. we get complimentary .Icecream ...Good taste.. thankyou KAARAIKUDI......
They have authentic Chettinad food!
Very delicious food (they have crabs!) and great service.
I visited this hotel last Wednesday. I found small cockroaches near the table and also on the place where an antique pot was kept. They should definitely maintain cleanliness.
This restaurant was once very popular among the locals but now the quality of food has come down and also not getting much patronage from the customers. Needs improvement
Food was good as usual, went to the place after a very long time. Remember visiting it when I was a much younger. It felt quite nostalgic. The place needs a little renovation and food serving needs improvement.
Visited this place with some friends. We were looking for some good chettinad food. The food may not disappoint but can be termed as average. Still it is worth occasional visit ....
Ordered crab soup which was good. Thought chettinad food is spicy but it wasnt. Ordered prawn masala- KCR which was good. Nethili fry was tasteless. Crab podimas was tasteless with no hint of crab. Kal Sosa was good.Spotted a baby cockroach on our table.
For good chetti nadu dishes this hotel is recomended
Good for unlimited meals thali & some gravy items
Taste are. Common nly and good food but not worth for that price
Pretty good chettinad restaurant, my only quibble is that the gravies are pretty similar.
Very worst hotel.ordered non veg meals and given veg meals..cheating customers.. no hygiene..very bad smell..not at all cleaning under the table .too much dirty..not eligible for 1 star
Worst restaurant I have ever visited
Poor hospitality and management but the place interior design, atmosphere, cleanness and food too good...
Ambience, parking too good... But what the point when there is no quality food... Ordered mutton soup, biryani, paya and idiyappam on a not very crowded calm Saturday evening... Soup had a bad smell, like burnt meat.... When I was hesitant to try that in the very first spoon found two maggots... Shocked and pathetic... Showed the same to bearer and left the place immediately... Very bad experience.. I wonder how they maintain the kitchen since maggots will grow only in trash and in rotten meat ..
Our usual lunch or/and dinner place. good food but little pricy. we dine and do home delivery if we stay close. good quality. Usual customer for a long long time (may be 10 yrs or more).. one of our fav hotel with nice atmosphere.
Traditional South Indian Non Vegetarian Food.. the quantity is limited and but costly..
Such a bad experience by going to this hotel. We ordered Fish fry, it was not fresh and looked like 2days old cooked fish, parathas were 45 each which is ridiculous and most importantly they don’t have tissues or hand dryer in wash basin and toilet. I suggest not to go to this so called restaurant.
Worst restaurant. Ambience good. But food taste is zero. Waste of money. Please stay away from here if you wanna taste good food.
Both non veg and veg dishes are good. good for those who like spicy food.Non veg lovers dont miss mutton bone soup known as paya soup.
Very limited varietiesPrices are way too high for the quantity of food they provideChicken biryani tastes like tomato bath and flavour of biryani is nowhere.Ambience is fine. You come out of the restaurant dissatisfied. Think twice before checking in to this.
Very expensive, not great.
Class in Chettinad variety of food. Interior looks are awesome. Serves delicious food with varying taste. Very popular among Non-Vegetarians. Spacious. Parking slots available for both Car & 2 Wheeler. No need of booking table in advance. Home delivery available. Located in R.K.Salai adjacent to Savera & New Woodlands
