Very good hospitality. Warm staff. Kind enough to entertain my baby boy with complimentary toy. Some arrangements made for kids are a unique touch! They welcome feedback, ready to fix the same. Mughal biriyanis can be bit more tasty. Punjabi gravy was mild and good enough.. 🙂 A pan at the end will make the meal complete. Overall, a good experience.

Good place for a family weekend outing. Table reservations are not necessary. Quality and taste of the food is good. I personally enjoyed the strawberry milkshake that I had here, trust me it is one of the best that you can ever get in Chennai.You also get a number of starter and main course options.

One of the best place to have a fine vegetarian dinner in Chennai. Menu is vast and food is delicious. Bit overpriced but given the fact that in most of chennai restaurant you cannot get proper vegetarian delicacies the price tag can be ignored. Used vegetables are fresh and you can literally differentiate between curries. Baked pasta, and paneer platter are a must try.

Been there twice now. My overall impression: Very Good. The decor is minimal but apt. The train that runs once in a while (it was not running during my second visit. I was told there is an issue with the track) next everyone nostalgic and excited in the restaurant.One word of caution: if you go here, be prepared to wait. On both occasions we had to wait endlessly for our order. At the thought of complaining, I realised they had this spelt out in the menu - minimum preparation time of 20 to 40 minutes. So this is a place you will not visit in hurry unless you are there for lunch when I guess there is set Menu option.The food quality is very good and presentation is top notch. Mexican bakes and Pastas are amazing. So are their soups and starters, well for the most part.During the second visit we ordered and Paneer Tikka and the Paneer was not fresh. The garlic bread that accompanied the pasta was also not great. However, when I pointed this out to Mr Sanju he got me oven fresh and hot garlic bread which was out of the world. So a big thank you for Mr Sanju and his customer service.The other thing I want to mention is even the mocktail take a long time in the making and is served only after repeated asks.Overall I would whole heartedly recommend this place. Especially for the sheer options in vegetarian which can satisfy different palates.

The food was delicious and they have kept the place very clean. I wish the thaalis available for lunch were available for dinner too.

Good choices of vegetarian food. Some staff are aloof, some are very approachable. Theres only one common washroom which is tiny and I found it dirty. Other than that, I think the place is doing well. Theyre taking precautions for the covid situation, so thats good.

Haven Sampoorna Cafe is connected to the main restaurant by a door. Excellent ambience. Cafe area has limited seating. Food tasted the tomato basil soup and ate hummus with pizza bread. Taste of the hummus could make an undead vampire dead. Please go easy on the garlic. Otherwise i liked the taste. Service was good as well. Cafe by itself dont have carparking but there are plenty of places to park. Washroom is small but had handwash and napkins to dry your hands but its location is inside the restaurant.Will definitely go back.

This place has the tastiest veg food in Besant Nagar. The two servers- Sanju and Deepak, will cater to your every request. They can make special dishes that are not on the menu. Also they are flexible. The best dish are spicy biryani with the kofta and sauteed vegetables. Just cannot go wrong.

Very well sanitised and free of worry. As usual food is amazing. But looks like Ratatouille has been taken off the shelf. The newly opened cafe adds a chic quotient to its existing brand name. Corn on toast is my all time best. Not much crowd and an evening spent well with friends in Haven Sampoorna with good vegetarian food. Forgot to mention, their vegetable biriyani is a good choice too.

Well, after hearing great reviews and ratings I finally made my way to this place with high expectations. While the place serves up a great experience generally, I was made to sit in an adjoint cafe with a makeshift long table for a table for 5. While I appreciate their gesture, the lack of coasters, plates, or even proper cutlery only made it seem more makeshift than accommodative. And placing a bunch of napkins on the table with no stand or plate to hold them only affirmed my concerns on their limited hospitality. Any restaurant that serves up pulav with raita should be reasonably able to spin up some curd rice for accompanying babies and elderly. But that was not to be. I faced a simple refusal as it was not on the menu. First time in a premium restaurant ever when asking for off-the-menu curd rice! Same with the complementary or paid salad (or sliced veggies) that is a mandatory accompaniment with any North Indian cuisine. But not here. Not on the menu, wont get it! At least some forks or spoons to eat my biryani? Nope! What started with a cold and tasteless soup, went through a sweet-tasting (supposedly) spicy dum aloo and ended in a lukewarm filter coffee. If I am not demanding zero stars, it is to complement a tasteful quesadilla starter and a rich dal makhani. I wish they improve their service. For the price I am paying, it is reasonable to expect a good experience and not just good food.

Have been to Haven Sampoorana right from the days when it used to be a very small shop in ground floor(Velachery 100 feet road). It used to taste yummy and very reasonably priced. I have recommended 100s of people during those days. Have seen it grown into a big chain on restaurant.Though the service is good now the pricing seems to be way too high(closer to 5⭐ hotels) and not worth it. Quantity/Quality is no way closer to the cost they charge. Im sure they are having good crowd now. Time to wake up. Please dont blame on the covid situation. One of the best vegetarian restaurants in Adyar Bessie area. Pasta, sizzler, roti and Sabzi items are a must try. Raspberry mojito remains a good finisher. Except for the seating no other complaints. Clean restroom. Feels like a bit expensive.

We ordered a veg. sizzler that gave both me and my husband some amount of acidity. The oil used was strange, to say the least, we felt this during the meal itself. May be thats exceptional because the water chestnut starter didnt seem to have this issue. We may go back but will stay away from the veg sizzler. For dessert we had a delicious suger cane sorbet. Service is good, staff is courteous :-)

I love this place. I have been to the velacherry sampoorna as well as besant nagar quite often. But I love the Besant Nagar branch more. It used to be a cosy little place with only a few tables and lovely ambience. But now they have renovated and added a lot of tables. I miss the old cosy warm feel that I used to have there. But nevertheless its still one of the best veg restaurant. The ambience is nice and the food is excellent. The staff are polite. The variety is quite good. I keep going here again and again and never got bored of eating here. Keep up the good 😊😊

The place has a cafe n also a separate restaurant. But believe me, the entry to cafe is photogenic. The food is more of a one time delight. The ambience though is good. There is a train that keeps on running above ur head!. Yeah, u read that ryt, there is a train that runs on the track fixed to the ceiling.P.s Dont ever try nachos here. Its not worth the bucks you spend for it. The tandoori is real deal!

If you want to enjoy food vegetarian food in besant nagar, Chennai, then this is the hotel. Their thali is amazing. They serve 3 different rotis with rich subjis and good pilav. They also showcase some of the best vegetarian and brainy peoples photograph with Tagline vegetarians are Sexy.Try their weekend thali. Its expensive, but worth it.I have never waited for a table here as it has always been empty or only a few tables occupied. They can however improve their serving speed.Overall, good place to eat and experience a nice veg dinner or lunch

Hi,I went to the restaurant on a Tuesday. I ordered for a pasta with vegetables (with red sauce). I specified I cant take much of spice (I was informed, little spice will be there). After I started eating, I felt its too spicy for me. Staff came over to my table and asked if I could eat looking at way I was struggling. When I said I could not due to spice, chef came over and said he will add bit of cheese and white sauce to reduce the spice. They gave the modified dish. It tasted awesome :).It was not crowded, as it was Tuesday. I am not sure if the service level will be the same during weekends.Thanks

Incredible experience and loved the food and the decor. I am a person who fancies quiet places and this is one of them. The food is top notch and since its veg you have a lot of options and variety. It is a small restaurant. Food is good and hearty. There is a toy train that runs on the track below the false ceiling. We adults were more excited about it than the kids. Service is quick and waiting staff is very friendly. You should try their Lasagna, corn cheese balls and crispy corn.

Decent Vegetarian Restaurant. The rates are a bit on the higher side but the ambience is excellent. The food isnt exactly the best but very much tasty. The staff are courteous and helpful. The location is pretty good and easily visible from the road. The only disadvantage is finding the entrance to the restaurant currently due to some construction work.
