During the covid pandemic(past 1 year) the food taste is horrible, I had switched to other restaurants. After a long time Salem RR made a comeback by providing the same old authentic recipe. I liked it.

Oh my God, is it really them!? I was shocked by that taste. Its not even similar to the 80 rs road side briyani. Chicken briyani tastes like tomato rice, costs 220rs. Mutton Biryani was utter worst. For 300rs, pieces ok but taste was dry rice, no masala was found, it doesnt tastes like even a veg Biryani. Want to eat briyani, go for better restaurant. I was totally disappointed this day and suggesting all...

Mutton and chicken biriyani taste like tomoto rice.

Though ambience of this outlet is not upto the par still we can taste the essence out of our tongue. Nothing less of what we used to have before. Same quality, more quantity and youll just love to eat often.

Bought 10-11 ppl bucket chicken briyani and the taste was ok-ish. Quality of the food is good. But, we eat briyani for taste at least i eat for taste. So, expectation isnt satisfied. Need Taste? then this is not the place for you.Actually, their masala is too thick that it sometimes wont blend with the rice and they get collected in one place. It will look like a giant chicken piece for first look but, when you examine, it wont be meat or rice its pure masala thats been accumulated as such. Any rice in contact with that will have strong cinnamon essence along with tomato and chilly curry. So, a portion of your food will be wasted.Food quantity is more. Actually, with one pack of briyani 2 ppl of average eaters will be satisfied.It was Rs.2600 for 10-11 person chicken briyani bucket along with 5 big pieces of fried chicken. So, the price seems to be nominal but taste could improve.Thank you. Hope this would give a picture of what to expect.

Fried ginger chicken is a huge piece for the 100 can be a good try.Extra chicken biryani piece is available for Rs.100. They will give some extra rice along with this. May you can a skip an additional biryani if you think you are wasting some rice after buying for two. Only extra piece is available for chicken.

Salem rr biriyani, this restaurant has a tasty mutton and chicken biriyani.yhe chicken biryani is tasted very good with boneless chicken 65.the chicken 65 is very spicy and tastes good than any other in that surroundings.Take away is available and delivery option is available with swiggy.dinnwr available with various option with chappathy,parotta,fish fry, and other different options in egg items.

I may be biased. Since am a biryani lover. However one must try once say least. You will get tasty biryani and you see a big crowd between 11.30 to 2.00 PM. Favourite is bucket biryani.

Price is 200 rupees not at all worth for the amount.Same in mutton biriyani not at all worth for the money and taste (240 rupees)You can try Food fun in chitlpakkam .They provide chicken biriyani for 100 rupees but the quality and taste is more than worth for money .

One of the most famous Biryani in this Tambaram - Velachery stretch - has become a past tense now. I travelled from Bangalore and didnt stop anywhere just to enjoy the food here but was very disappointed by the quality of rice, flavour of the Biryani and the response of the service staff. I ordered for my family and went outside to attend a call, the service staff didnt offer food for anyone till I returner back after 15 minutes. The golden days of Salem RR Biryani faded miserably. Very disappointed.

I have been trying their biryani and comparing it with few others in and around Selaiyur. However, their pricing is very erratic and unreasonable. Just like that within span of few months, I have noticed the price went up from Rs. 140 to 200. And with it being available on Swiggy and Zomato, a chicken biryani costs 240 (exc. delivery fees, tax etc.). While the quantity may be more than sufficient for 1 person, they still have one piece of chicken, so not worth it anymore. Taste is a hit or miss and not consistent, in fact, lately, has been going downhill. Time to start hunting for a different restaurant for biryani.

This restaurant has lot of branches throughout Chennai. There is a one near to my residence in East Tambaram. Still ordered Briyani in online and the taste was literally delicious. We have tried Mutton Briyani as well Chicken Briyani and both were of very good taste. Quantity is also more. We bought three parcels and shared for four adults in my family but still some more Briyani was available excess. Restaurant is always crowded primarily because of this delicious food. Must try once food in Chennai.
