Excellent hotel - right from the rooms to the food options. Housekeeping staff especially are very courteous. Portion sizes for the food are large and food is delicious. Location is good, with lots of restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Hotel was also nice to send over an item that was left behind after check-out.One place where I would suggest improvement is for staff at breakfast to remind guests to wear masks when going near the buffet area.

Dined at Golden Dragon, the food was good. The crispy lamb stood out. The chili fish wasnt up to the mark. The fried rice and the schezwan prawn gravy was spot on. The servings per dish was adequate. Overall a good experience.

I dont think Im qualified to review Taj but based on my couple visits I will share my view. Recently I visited for an official meeting. Its a 5 star hotel so what to say everything looked 5 star. The meeting rooms were great, staffs were polite, food was great and all facilities were 5 star. I think its been there for a long time and its one of the few hotels you think of when as a child you discussed about 5 star hotels. I went there during pandemic so it was less crowded. You were asked to wear a mask if you step out of your room. I went by two wheeler and two wheeler and star hotels dont get well. You have to park it in a nearby field and walk few meters to the hotel.

The nicest hotel Ive ever had the pleasure of staying in. Its a stunning structure, and it only gets better as you get inside.The ambiance is fantastic. The food is delicious. To understand why Anises briyani costs so much, try Gilli briyani, which costs 1600 rupees. The staff is courteous and friendly. The management sticks to the Covid rules to the fullest.Overall, Taj Coramandal is an excellent choice for a family or group vacation

My review is not for the Hotel but the beauty parlour from where I availed services. It was extremely pricey and the manicure and pedicure was sub-par when compared to other parlours. I feel the products used were of top notch quality but Manicure and Pedicure were not too great. I was billed for 60 mins session however the pedi/mani lasted maybe 20 mins or so only and everyone seemed to be in a super rush. Taj Hospitality is unbeatable and the lady staffs within the parlour were polite and extremely pleasant to interact with.

We have a coupon for restaurant in Taj. We griuo of 4 members priorly enquire with the restaurant staffs about the hotel timing and we make sure atvwhat time restaurant will open on the call itself. But once we reached taj, security didnt allow us inside, as we are not dressed well. Security name Logesh mistreat us and we have quarrel among them then we leave that place with big disappointment. Please Taj, treat everyone as equal. We are very much disappointed by your staffs.

This is a review specifically written for Mr. John in the Qmin team. Has no respect for the customer and has the audacity to say you can speak to anyone you want. All this started with requesting him for a delivery which was denied by him. The same was done when it was booked through the app. Neither did he say it can be done by the app nor did he have the patience to hear me out. All he had to say is that I have clear instructions to not deliver below 1500/-Speaks with absolute arrogance. Totally disappointed with the way this man speaks especially with someone who is very regular with Taj. He is a total insult to all the staff and the name of Taj.

As a hotel its great. The Chinese speciality restaurant, however, has gone down in quality. The waiters seemed confused about the orders, it took very long for them to get out food, the prices to portions has deteriorated and the food just doesnt taste as it used to, once upon a time. Its unlikely that Ill be going back here for a while.

Rooms are clean and hygienic. Stay enjoyable. Food quality is superb. Guest should try mutton fry with stew and parota will enjoy the dish or else non-veg thali to choice dish you wish is also excellent.

This an old property of Taj with a rich collection of heritage art artifacts. We have found that north india food during dinner and buffet breakfast is awesome. Veg Thai Curry is worth mentioning. We have found that many staff members are senior by age and courteous. Go for a tour to a heritage property.

Best n Luxurious Hotel... Perfect Stay

Went to a reception last week. They were doing some renovation work in the entry side, and there was heavy traffic to enter the venue and was stranded in the way. The entry to the reception hall was also disappointing. We passed through the buffet dining and entered the hall. We were very much surprised to see a star hotel in such a confused state in a reception. That was our first visit to the place and it was not good. Hope things would improve. Only plus was the food was too delicious.

I have been here quite a few times for several corporate events. Best place for corporate events than family occasions. The rates are lil costly but the food is really good. Good parking facility

Nice rooms with good view, especially the top floors. Check-in and check-out was very quick. Breakfast buffet spread was good.

The property was great, and the Taj service was great as usual. Two areas were disappointing:- Food was disappointing. Dinner was sort of better, the breakfast was nowhere close to the famous Taj standards.- Lax covid guidelines. While the staff seems trained and aware, there is no enforcement on guests, beyond having a mandatory mask board. Noticed the same behavior across Chennai. Its scary if youre an out-of-towner.

Though old popular, it has lost its sheen. Lacks star hotels ambiences. The food is average with cheaper variety dishes. Could not find sufficient patronage may be due to the pandemic scare.Though ball room is spacious its facilities and cuisine has a a detoriated as compared to two decades back.

The place doesnt need an intro or a review anymore. World class undoubtedly. I will.say one thing....Attention to detail is just brilliant - from automatic curtain closers to a food trolley that keeps the food warm after a room service delivery (for sometime atleast). Lets not forget the heated toilet seats too! And many more to be honest.....Loved the simple bed decor too. Think I have a photo. Will get it on....

One of the very few 5 star hotels in Chennai that lives up to the 5 star status.What we loved:- very nice black bean sauce dish at the Golden Dragon- awesome ginger drink at Spice restaurant (can’t remember the full name of the restaurant). The food was also good.- great service- really nice pastries at breakfast- grand luxury room is nice, lovely touch with the Japanese toilet. Now I want one for my apartment- good sized poolWhat could be improved:- grand luxury room are newly furb’d, but the design is a little poor, no room in the bathroom when you come in or out the shower.- we never got drinking glasses set up on our table at breakfast, had to ask. Should come to the waiters setting the table naturallyWe never tried the spa yet, till now ITC spa was our yardstick (we don’t stay at ITC anymore due to poor service we had there the last couple of times, and only visit the spa) of a wonderful spa. But when we went to visit it, it is indeed right up there and probably will be our new yardstick. The couples room is just awesome. Jacuzzi, sofa area for resting, steam and dressing room. We will definitely spend half a day there in the future.
