A nice and cool (literally) auditorium that has bare seating. Clean Toilets and good space around the auditorium - though parking slots are extremely limited.The Air-conditioning worked perfectly and so did the audio system. We had a memorable evening watching Chocolate Krishna by Crazy Creations.Ticketing was a breeze - there was a small counter manned by a gentleman and you pay cash. Sorry no credit/debit cards or other electronic form of payments at the counter.There is small snack outlet selling popcorn, Tetra-packaged drinks, water and other small snacks. Beware a ₹ 10 bottle is sold at ₹ 15.Overall a nice place to enjoy a show or two with your family and friends. Yes, get as much people as possible so the fun is multiplied.

Closed auditorium with proper acoustic system. Seats are also not bad. The cooling system can use an upgrade. Hall is moderately spacious. Wont be able to capacitate a big crowd.

I watched ponniyin selvan drama here. Decent place to be frank, enough space for 2 wheeler parking. If you are going by a four wheeler , then you need to park on the road side.They do have well cleaned rest rooms, mini snack stall.Only con is the plastic chairs, which will hurt you for dramas which is for more than 2 hours.

Went stage drama named visaranam to this club. Good atmosphere and well maintained. Instead of roaming in beach,mall please go with family to this kind of place. Iam sure you will get different kind of experience which make you feel good and peacefully

Went there during the December music season. They have tried to renovate a crumbling infrastructure and make it audience friendly. While the air conditioning is a relief to audience, chairs and audio left lot to be desired.

Nice Auditorium with Air conditioning and good sound systems, seating arrangements are not very good for viewing Drama shows as the stepwise increase is not very adequate for the rear seats. This does not matter for music concerts. Not much place for car parking. Can park cars, in side roads or better to take cab.

Went there to eat in was the catering during Dec17th till jan 2nd.. No Festivals in Mylapore fine Arts during covid. Hence tasted food. Just average. Not much to explain. But place was clean and neat. Served well with all covid norms followed.

Very good place to stage shows and conducting function.Everyone in the auditorium can get a nice view point over the stage.

MFAC venue without December kutcheri. The private canteen put up by Sastha caterer is offering Snacks n Tiffin varities. Lot of choice but prices are very expensive. Tough to attract customers at this expensive prices.. can be visited only once.

Very nice Auditorium, still preserved in the old heritage. As this is a old concert hall, the parking facility is small.The hall is very clean with good Air-condition. Yes, the seats are bit old but we go here to enjoy the performance and not for seating comforts

Good sabha for musical season with large accommodation.

I attended my accounts classes at this place for a year. Earlier Prime academy used to conduct their classes here. After recent renovation, chairs have been replaced and overall look is also changed. Located just beside St.Isabel hospital. But this place is on one way road. Around 1000 people could be accommodated those days.

A very well known spot for its music events. A regular haunt for the rasikas(fans) of Carnatic music during the December Chennai music season. Acoustics are good, and there is some amount of parking available, but the lighting inside could be more lively, and the seats feel aged. There is much to be done to spruce the place up, but it still remains a prime hub for cultural events in the area

Located in a central area near Isabel and has a good seating arrangement for the audience. Could be better if seating is in a stepped manner which would help children to see the stage easily. Has parking area but wont accommodate a very huge crowd coming in cars. Has sufficient area for bike parking and a canteen to fill our stomach.

A good place with standard sitting arrangements. Quality of sound should be improved, currently it is just loud speakers. A decent place for small functions. Very small parting for four wheeler, better to be prepared for no parking. The adjacent road is one way, with no formal parking lot nearby, though the organizers directed all to park their cars on the pavement.

Renowned old theatre. Love to go there. But aesthetics and acoustics take a back seat. Definite need for improvement.

In the heart of Mylapore near St Isabels hospital. Favourite place for dance arangetrams ,dramas, cutcheris- heartbeat of Mylaporeans. But a good eating joint is missing. Thaligai opp to Nageswara Park is good but somewhat costly.

Its good but since there is no proper inclination in the seating area viewing the artist on stage especially when they are seated is difficult. Also to get out during a program, if one is seated in the middle, one has to inconvenience the rest of the people in the row to get out. They could have left a gap after say every 10 rows or so for easy movement. Understand this will bring down the seating capacity of the hall

The new changes to the auditorium has reduced the reverberation which used to be profound in the earlier design but the new venue has lost its iconic appearance.

The Hall was well maintained. And it was very good watching drama there. Experienced my first drama here and liked it.

A good place which is a cradle which preserves the culture and heritage. With aircomditionimg, the hall is a favourite. Good sound system is an added feather in the cap

Visited this place for my childs school annual day function. It is one for the oldest art performing club in Chennai where my wife during her childhood performed Bharatanatyam dance ;)Now its air-conditioned and well maintained. Toilets were also clean. Except for the parking space, all amenities were good

The new and renovated MFAC has improved acoustics and air conditioned ambience for experiencing some wonderful performances!

Typical Mylapore! Value for money space for cultural entertainment. Typical middle class. Functional seating. Functional A.C. Please come by bus / auto. Or Ask your cousin to drop/pick up - because no parking space. You can also have your keera vadai and filter coffee.

This is one of the best fine arts clubs in chennai. Especially for karnatic music lovers, this place is well suited for them. The stage and the speaker systems are good to hear high quality music. Best musicians are called on regularly. Especially in the week ends and in the month of Margazhi ie. December and january special music events are planned and conducted regularly. Enough and well organized seeting arrangements with great air-conditioning arrangements are there here. A canteen is also available inside the club itself. Such a nice place to visit here to listen a high quality music and you will get a great devotional experience.

Attended lectures of Sreeram academy for five days at this venue . The program was in April month .The air conditioning was so poor , they have a capacity of 500+ but have 10 split Acs which is approximately one AC for 50people and also half of them won’t work .The AC was not able to cover the huge auditorium with no flow of air .They won’t put the fans and lie saying we have voltage issuesPathetic place where it was sweating and suffocating like crazy due to poor ventilation and no air .But apart from the AC I have nothing else to complain. Good stage well maintained rest rooms and good parking for bikes .Avoid booking your program here during summer

I had been there for a Play presented by Theatre Marina. It is centrally located. This December season this place would be very busy with music concerts. It gives opportunity for budding artists.

Mylapore Fine Arts club is one of the oldest music clubs in Chennai. It is more than 60 years old and the state of the hall shows that. Even though air conditioning has been installed recently the seats have no cushion and are far from comfortable.

It is a vintage place . I feel sad that the old ambience has been replaced by technology. The air conditioners have taken over whereas those days natural aeration gave the perfect atmosphere for traditional concerts

This place is well set for classical performance of dancers and musicians. This place is neither too fancy nor too ordinary, it is apt for art lovers. I would definitely recommend this place to for future dance performances. The only con is the parking, which is constrained due to location.
