This place has candle light setup, but since we went as a group we couldnt enjoy it.The ambience was good, not much crowded, sanitizer was in place. The building had couple of other businesses so it was little difficult to identify where exactly is entrance. A sign board near the fountain would have been great.About food, some of the items werent available only handful of them was there to order. Soups, appetizers were good. Martin course was okay not great but dessert was enjoyable and value for money.

First their ambience was really good. A peacefull hangout spot with your friends and families. Serene I must say.Coming to food we ordered starters for our dinner. All the startes were good and decent. Nothing to compalint about.And we ordered salad too which was good as well.Overall experience was decent.

One of a kind restaurant with a fountain in the middle of an eating area. Another highlight of the Crimson Chakra is that they provide the facility of an isolated room which is absolutely perfect for special occasions like Valentines day, anniversaries, etc. The food there is also absolutely delicious, definitely worth the price. Would recommend a visit after the pandemic.

A very good place to have a lunch or dinner with your loved ones. They also have a candle light dinner room for couples to have a romantic candlelight dinner. Their speciality is the smoke biryani, which prepared only after ordering it and thus it takes around half an hour to arrive. The biryani will be filled with the coal smoke smell with ghee and every bite of it will remind the taste. Blue marina is my favorite drink there. Must place to visit. They were allowing pets and had a separate place for them to play and eat previously but now they are not allowed.

Good ambience, great choice of food ranging from parotta to Italian. The pizza was nice as were all the starters except chilly chicken. Quite costly as well but meant for a family treat or friends meet up.

Went in to crimson chakra after 3 years all everything was different, from the ambience to the menu all looked new and different. Ordered soup and starter for lunch, food was good and descent. But miss the old place and look it had.

Needed to do a working lunch in a quiet place and remembered this classic restaurant in Gandhi Nagar, Adyar. Missed it the first time but spun around and found it. It’s evevryone but as awesome as it used to be. Lovely ambience. Friendly and accommodating staff. Killer food! And to boot the welcome drink was the classic Madras ‘Pepsi cola’ ... which has nothing whatsoever to do with Pepsi Co.Oh oh and let me not forget the happy retro music ! A really nice place to enjoy your afternoon! The dude (owner perhaps) who lets us smoke in the upstairs also mentioned that the dinner ambience was the real deal! Can’t wait to do that!

Excellent Ambience, courteous staff (remember our waiter Chimbu), and great variety of quality food. Desserts were limited, still. The name of the restaurant (Crimson Chakra) puts off people.. would suggest to change to a more catchy name, more suited for an eating place.

Food was very good, only few issues, one was that both ramen bowls we ordered had eggshells and ramen did not come with chili oil I felt it would have been better with chili oil, second issue was service was very slow else would have recieved a 5 star definitely worth visiting

Had a not so good experience after visiting azuri bay the last time but Crimson Chakra delivered its promise by offering us with good taste and quality of food. The ambiance was alright and the waiting time was little high but that was not a big deal as the pricing was competitive. Taste of the soup and starters were succulent. The lighting was good in my opinion and you have lot of empty places near the hotel for parking.

Today, I was excited to go to this place, which was the first time. Me and my friend flabbergasted that it was Onam special and no other food varieties was served. Some of the food tastes good, such as Paneer fry and Chicken roast for Rs. 190 is good, worth for money. However, 750 per person just to eat a normal Kerala style Onam food is BAD. You can get same kind of variety in a normal South Indian restaurant. I ordered a Goli soda (Blue one, I guess that meant to be Blueberry.. I dont know), it is Rs 25 in a local shop with the same chillness. In this cuisine, they value it for 70 bucks. Totally, not worth of money to spend time here. Too noisy!

I got a chance sometime last week in the form of my Moms Birthday Lunch. And Indeed, it was a very successful one. Food and Service has never been a problem for me at Crimson Chakra, and by saying that Im not exaggerating even a bit. Be it a simple Buffet Lunch or Bulk Biryani Orders, its been an uncomplicated affair with Crimson Chakra, always.

My Chennai friends always recommended Crimson Chakra for buffet and biryani, so thought of giving it a try. The experience was really good. We went there for lunch buffet and it started with soup which was really soothing.Starters were the limelight of the whole buffet. It had hara bhara kebab, fish fingers, chicken tikka, chilli garlic prawns. Each item was really tasty! Main course had daal rice biryani paneer roti and chicken egg curry. They even had live counters for pasta. In desserts we had pysum gulab jamun and ice cream.The meal was really good and worth the price. Best thing was their soothing ambience and peaceful environment. Its a perfect place for family meal. Highly recommend it.

Nestled in a quiet residential space, this ones easy to locate, as its not very far off from the Gandhinagar club. Love how the ambience reflects modernity combined with ethnicness. Food here is generally good -their smoked rice is always a good choice, and, dont forget their coconut souffle. Their Sunday buffet is okay -some of the buffet dishes stand out (their Fish Curry, ghee roasted chicken, crispy cauliflower, Rasam), while most others are just average - nothing amazing to rave about. However, their hospitality is something thats not very common in most restaurants these days -theyre darned good at it!

If you guys plan team lunch or dinner .its a good place for us . the food is very good and candle dinner available there.most suitable for couples.

Good place to hang out with friends and family. A little expensive. They do follow Covid restrictions and place was kept clean. They close the kitchens a little early, around 2 pm. So you cant stay longer than 3 pm for lunch.

Probably none of our taste buds did not work that day. Out of everything we had naan was the only thing which tasted better. Ordered cauliflower and corn soup in which the corn wasn ground well. For the starters we ordered chilli babycorn and empanadas(whch s my fav); the babycorn was so less in quantity and the empanada tasted like some desi wrap with a stale filling. Naan and paneer butter masala was edible, and then chicken kheema kulcha we ordered was undercooked and masala kulcha was totally bland. We did not order any more or even the desserts and were left hungry.

Amazing place for a casual dinner with your friends. Their menu is predominantly South Indian, with loads of varieties for non veg lovers. They have a decent spread of veg menu as well, and the staff were very courteous. The only downside was, other than the pastries, they dont have much of a menu for desserts. Not even fruit juice. May be it was an one time incident, Im not sure. Planning to take another set of my friends over there this weekend, with fingers crossed that they would have their desserts available.

Have been there twice and I love their continental menu. Also as a starter, their garlic bread is quite good and different than what we normally eat in Dominos. As a starter last time we ordered chilly cheese chicken tikka and fish fingers - both were delicious. Though I felt it a bit on a costlier side but nice cozy place to have some great dishes. It costs approx 3k for 4 people including taxes but without any desserts. Will visit there again on some other occasion, keep it up!

This is a great place to eat with a lot of innovative dishes. They are currently closed for renovations and expected to reopen in December 2020. We met the owner of this place who has promised several new additions to the menu after they return. Can’t wait 🙏

I used nearbuy coupons for the non veg buffet. A total moneys worth meal. The place, although a bit off the main road, had a really nice melancholic ambience complimented by the polite behavior of the waiters. The place is very beautifully decorated. The buffet is unlimited. Each and every one of the starters were delicious. The main course was really filling. Although the dessert was a bit disappointing. Highly recommended. I myself will visit again soon!

It has been renovated recently. Staff were courteous, but food disappointed us. Soups were kinda stale, main course chicken gravy nd mutton gravy almost tasted same. Biryani would have tasted better in the roadside shops nly the well cooked mutton pieces made us not to complain much. Honey Chicken and Ghee chicken on the starters were really worthy on almost 10 dishes.Waffles were the dessert options. It was made fresh but ice creams were kind of stale.

I think this place works for a decent family dinner.Coming to the food, I really loved the fish which goes by the name - Tangy Meen Varuval. The fish was tender, soft and super delicate. Tasted good.Nei Soru (Ghee Rice) and Butter Naan tasted yum with the Madurai Mutton Curry.The Chocolate Milkshake could be improvised as the quality of the chocolate was very poor.The Blue Marina drink loaded with ice cubes was a perfect thirst quencher!Fudge Brownie with Ice-cream was delicious but it was nutty. The Ice-cream used felt too old and there was huge piece of ice formed inside.The Tender Coconut Soufflé was too thick in consistency and could have been way better. I have had better ones too!

Great place to dine with a wide variety of cuisines. Most dishes were custom made to order and DATSON the waiter was kind enough to get our requirements and fulfilled it. Elaneer Souffle is the must try item.

Smoked rice was a disaster didnt find it appetising at all! we tried our best to finish off the rice but this is as far as we could humanly go!

The glasses given for water was smelling bad. The food lacked flavour, especially the mutton dishes. The fish used is Basa which is not a great choice. The service was lackluster, overall a below average experience and will not recommend anyone going here.

Worst experience. This restaurant cant accomodate many customers. Food will not be ready. We need to wait for long time for a table to be arranged and also for food to be prepared. No proper seating, no proper light, no proper prompt service, no enough food. They only reply saying they dont have water, juices, soups.They say they dont have enough veg starters and not enough food options... Awful experience.. I brought about 15 family customers and felt ashamed about this restaurants worst service. Booked table in advance through online and restaurant had not noticed it at all and kept arranging table only after we all reached.. worst experience... Beware !!

The restaurant is good for both veg and non veg..still the quality can be improved. We gone for corporate team outing and the starters they provided is excellent.. especially the fish and chicken.but the main course and dessert items are not up to the mark and ice creams too..soup was very good

Quality and taste are good. Varieties for lunch is quite less having chicken and fish only in starters and others are veg starters. Main course is having basic biryani fried rice as usual, dessert varieties are only two finishing with an ice cream. Otherwise taste is good. Staffs are helpful in nature.

I had been to Crimson Chakra several times before but my last outing to this place was horrible to say the least.About the ambiance, the fountains, which is actually a trade mark of the place weren’t working and gave the place a very bad appearance. Even for switching on the AC and fan, we had to specifically ask.About the food, we wanted to order some fish dishes, but they said none of the fish/prawn dishes was available except one. Then we wanted to order some pasta, but we were told that continental food wasn’t available either. Finally we ended up ordering some biriyani, but we ended up getting some tomato rice with chicken pieces in it. So we stopped ordering anything more and decided to go to some other restaurant.The restrooms too weren’t upto the mark.One thing is sure. We wound not be returning to this place anymore and neither would we be recommending this place to anyone.Hope the management takes these critical reviews seriously and return this place to its lost glory.

Horrible experience. Worst customer Service. Very bad food. We went on Sep 14,2019 Saturday for buffet lunch. When we went there no one was there. They served food which we think the remaining of day before. When we enquire they pretend to resolve but served a very bad tasteless lunch. It’s ₹3000 for 5 of us but not even a single dish worth the penny. 🤮

Went to buffet lunch at Crimson Chakra, first they served a non-veg soup, when we are taking the soup they served all the starters in table itself. Soup and starters was so good, totally they gave 8 starters; 4 veg and 4 non-veg. Main dishes was also good, we had Mutton Biriyani in the list 🤞👍 Deserts was also good, but can be improved a bit. Overall 5* and worth for the money paid.

Quite a calm place thanks to the location. No parking but since its has a dead end to it you can park your cars and bikes in the places available.Food is nice, limited in the menu we were for the buffet. Starters served in the table, 3 veg and 3 non-veg. Chicken was dry for my liking. Fish fingers were too good. Vegetation options were pretty ok as well. On the buffet limited menu but thats fine.Its a quite little place for families to come in for a good calm lunch or dinner.

Food was having a unique taste and menu also have some distinct variety which have not tasted in any other restaurant, kudos to the chef. With the ambience there is no any credits for it though for the unique menu and distinct taste sure its a must try spot, price is as per adyar area standard, all dishes around 300K. A special note on the desserts is the tender coconut souffle, no one should miss it when anyone drop in there.

Second visit to the place. The menu has seen some changes since last as the main chef has changed. So what menu you see on Zomato as on date is not same what will be available to you at the restaurant.Nevertheless the place is calm and has old rustic environment. Food is good, quantity apt but service is a bit slow.
