We went for a late lunch and the restaurant was closed. We were directed to roof top restaurant which was empty as expected. Ordered pot biriyani,butter nan and khandari gravy. All the items were good but the rate was very expensive. Ambience was good since it was a hot day we started to sweat a lot. Its a good place for dinner but not for lunch. Crystal bar is a famous hangout place and overall food was good and a decent place.

Room is good.. Prime area..The Service need to be improved.. The hotel is yet to be in full swing...

Hotel in the industry for more than 2 decades got new face lift with modem amenities. Wonderful roof top for gathering, tasty food though little bit expensive. Hospitality is awesome, spacious parking and courteous staff makes the difference. Good to visit friends and families.

Crystal bar has the best starters....chicken Afghani... brocoli mushroom stir fry.... most of the starters r good....the went to opal inn for dinner.... this place has been there for ages ....has stood the test of time....its a 90-10 ratio most of the dishes r awesome 10% can go flop.... their signature dish is the corn on Toast .... but unavailable as we went late.... tender coconut pudding and sizzling brownie for dessert recommendation....Cheers 🍻

As a frequent visitor to Crystal bar, i would suggest the management to reopen the kitchen soon. We miss the signature dishes that you provided from the bar kitchen before covid times.Venky is the best in terms of hospitality.One humble request from my end: please send your bathroom cleaner frequently to the bar washroom expeccially when the pax is high.

The Restaurant Opal Inn has been consistent through the years. The decor makes you feel like youre in an old Italian restaurant where you might see someone get whacked. It doesnt take away from the great steaks and old school charm. Great place to take the family...

They have one of the best restaurants possible. The food there was amazing and staffs were courteous and accommodating. This is my third time in eight years and second time over a span of two months (did not like the food the first time). A must visit restaurant for continental lovers. Cheers.

Nice clean rooms, food is good in both restaurants. Staff is very service centric, you will never have any problem with service. Pushkaran, one of the staff members is always around the restaurants to greet you and take care of you, be it breakfast or late night dinner. Loved the service in this hotel.

A clean, neat and tidy interiors. Friendly staff. Room was good with sufficient space and good cooling system. Comfortable bed. Complimentary breakfast. Complimentary wifi. Room service was quick. Restaurant on the top floor. This makes this place a good corporate stay. 2 things according to me can still improve. One - options of pillows as I ended up with a stiff neck. Two - buffet breakfast will help rather than placing an order.

Wine and dine. Food is good. I am vegetarian so not exquisite for veggies. However, most of those who had non-veg praised about the taste.The hotel has a roof top that is more suitable for small get-together.The front portion is being renovated so my opinion is, if there is a new restaurant in this renovated place, give it a try.

Visited Cristal bar, fabulous place. Specially for single guys and business men. Full of men crowed mostly. Have a limited seats. So you have to be early. Food is fantastic, I loved food more than drinks.

I visit the Crystal Bar here at Ranjit. Crystal may be one of the best bars around Chennai with great food and very friendly and courteous staff. Only issue is, less number of tables, getting a table is always an issue here.

I was visiting from US my stay at this hotel was very comfortable, staff was very polite and accommodating enjoyed my and the complimentary breakfast was very good.

Removed my all time favourite - unique aloo and panneer malabar from the menu! May not visit again!!!! Have been visiting since the last 20 years and been a fan of these items! Bring them back please!!!

Pinnacle used to be a great place to hang out once upon a time. Now, the quality of both food and service is rapidly declining. So is the value for money. Hope the management revives the place back to its glory days.

A dark lit bar that gives you a quintessential Chennai bar experience with great food, and very affordable prices. However its clearly only for men, highlighted in obvious fashion by the fact that the one bathroom only has urinals. But ladies, the same establishments restaurant Opal next door I hear has a female friendly restrooms.

The rooftop bar is good. Its a bit costly but the starters are really good.

Poor place to go. Food may be good but not the service. They compel you to pay service charge when the govt rule says you can ask hotel to waive it and hotel should comply. Their staff are instructed by their management to collect service charge so the staff insist and even go to the extent of saying if we do not pay service charge their management will deduct from their salary. Atrocious. Further if someone does not pay service charhe they illtreat you. One of their staff even showed his disrespect by returning back the tip that we paid. I have been going there for 17 years and know almost everyone there and if they can do this to me then you can understand. I reported to their manager who did not even apologise but is defending his employee only. This is the true Ranjith.

Nice place to go for team lunch or dinner party.During afternoon crystal bar is available if planned for short drink and followed by lunch at restaurant. For dinner party, the roof top restaurant is ideal. Price seems little higher side but worth for the varieties and services.. its best for hangout with team if planned for Nungambakkam area..You take causius while coming from Gemini flyover since you have to take left just before the hotel to park the car otherwise a u turn is required ;-)... Overall a professional services both at restaurant and bar....

Venkatesan is the person to look for. He really takes care of people. Do try steamy chicekn and cheesy balls best non veg and veg dish there... Ranjith is best for.its variety of side dishes. They even arrange for drivers to drop you home, if you are drunk, just ask for it to the person serving you. Strongly recommend, if you want to have great memorable side dishes with awesome drinks... Choose the crystal bar on ground floor, no roof top.

Expected better quality of food...had lunch a couple of months ago and the then it was great. Now I guess something was amiss at the Opel for last Sat lunch. We were are large group of 12 and we tried everything from chicken, fish beef fry, mutton et al. The taste was not what it was before, most of the dishes had a Chinese tinge to it. The service was slow pretty slow.

One of the oldest restaurants in Chennai. No doubts, food tastes special here and after getting itself renovated recently, the ambience too looks to be good... One of the few kinds of restro bars which non chennaites can try..PS: try out their cocktail options, few are really good !

Sidedish is wrost and poor service

They serve excellent food over there. But their service is very bad and the price are expensive.

We always use to go to roof top but this time we selected indoor dining opal Inn. As usual the food was awesome. We had some kebabs, chicken dilwale and chicken pepper. For main course had chicken 65 biriyani and egg schezwan fried rice. All were cooked well. Finally we ended with brownie sizzlers and lychie icecream

Well known for hospitality, a reputed property in Nungambakkam

I am a very old customer (Guest) of Ranjit Hotel at Nugambakkam (diagonally opposite Ispahni Mall). They have closed the hotel for many years always giving an excuse that its under renovation and going to open soon but still they couldnt open it till January,2019 .

Ahh another chennai legend and home of the one and only Ranjit Rooftop. Its been completely renovated and looks very funky from the outside. Will post once i actually visit.
