This is one of my favorite eating place in Kodambakkam, Chennai. Mannah is well known for its sweets and cakes. Indian Chats are available during evening times. My favorites are Dahi Papdi chat, Behl puri, and Paani puri. I would highly recommend this place if youre in and around Kodambakkam.

Best value meals in the afternoon with a spacious dining area. If you want something lighter Sambhar Rice is a must try. They also have an extensive variety of sweets and pastries.

This is quite close to my office and there was a time when this was just a tiny bakery which has now turned out to be a huge restaurant kind of place serving one of the best sweets and snacks. Ive tried some chats and Lunch. Theyre really good! The best thing about this place is once you go youre served some fresh lemon juice and thats amazing - and yea, free of cost! Its really generous of them to do so.

Very nice bakery with fresh products. They also have a Veg Restaurant at the back. Very pocket friendly. Sweets and other snack items are awesome. Love their Egg Puff and Potato chips. Staff also very nice and helpful

Good response, quality sweets and best reasonable price

Pros:Love the murukku here. Its one of the best you can find in the area. Its becoming a bit oily lately. Being a fan of it, I find it a bit sad (is the quality coming down?!?!- I dunno, will keep monitoring)Cons:Take too much time to bill,The choice of mucic guys.. when you have so many people coming, I greatly suggest against playing religious music, sorry if it sounds wrong ( I would really appreciate some common music everyone can enjoy)

Person who standing in sales doesnt know about mass,type,price etc. of the cake.On the bill I got the details about the cake.Communication error: since Im tamilan I can able to talk in my mother tongue or english, but the person before me he is hindikaaran(worst in English and tamil).Finally I dont know why these proprietors are recruiting hindikaaran.Hereafter Ill never go to mannah, I will suggest this to my friends and relatives too.

Decent place with reasonable price

I have read some of the bad reviews and it is hard to believe . I have been visiting this restaurant from my childhood So I truly recommend it to everyone. The food quality and taste are amazing and they have never disappointed. I do believe the side portions are a bit small but besides that the price is worth it. I personally recommend the RASAGATHAM SWEET which is the best in whole south India . If you are staying in Chennai better try it at least once , you should never miss that in your life.

The name Mannah, in tamil, literally means the king and Mannah sweet as the name suggests, is the king of the pastries. Since my childhood and school days, I am very much fond of their penguin cakes. Cakes mixed with chocolate ganache and are shapped as penguins. Then coated with sugar crusts. They are way more sweet and the persons who have sweet tooth can only appreciate its value. People with diabetes, BEWARE. You would start loving the pastries they serve and your insulin levels on your body might go down.

The sweets and savories are A class. Love the Adhirasams, Bakodas and then- murukkus. They had a very customer friendly system of providing small cups of fresh juice to every thirsty customer visiting , but with the store becoming bigger and better, that small sweet gesture went out the window. Hope they introduce it again.

Nice food but little expensive comparatively with the major restaurants nearby. Varieties are there on all cuisines but the ambience of music played makes to leave the place as soon as possible. A common place should be treated commonly. There should not be any religious or spiritual ambience which should not disturb the customer who doesnt belong or related to that. (My view). You can play any music at the reception place where people will listen passing by. Not on a place where they sit and relax to have a pleasant food.
