Fantastic place to go for pastry sandwich and so much more!!!Located at Cenatoph road, its the best place to get breakfast. People can say its hyped up or costly but only until you taste their food.First up got sandwiches - spicy mushroom sandwich and B&C Barbeque chicken sandwich. Both used sour dough bread and I say its genius. Crunchy in the outside and soft and flavourful it went so well with the filling.Next up for dessert, we got the brownie Croissant which had brownie filling inside the croissant and over it there was brownie pieces. I am salivating just by thinking about it.Dont wait up, hit the place and rejoice!!

Very nice place to have breakfast and probably the best croissants and pain au chocolat in town, however at a not very affordable price....The rest of the dishes are also delicious and have a more reasonable price.I would definitely recommend it! 👌

Beautiful restaurant in a great location with ample parking. The food here is exceptional and the ambience is perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The staff are very friendly and they follow the self service module. The quality of food here is exceptional. I would definitely recommend the hot chocolate with the almond croissant which they seem to be low on stock of because of the sheer demand of the dish. Love this place

Having visited Bread and Chocolate in Chennai more than a couple of times what I enjoy about the place is the consistency in quality and taste of food. The portion size is generous, service is quick with a neat ambience.As the restaurant gets busy during lunch hours, I had the unfortunate experience of having to sit in the table opposite to the washroom which ruined the entire dining experience.

The sourdough sandwich and the Spanish Latte were awesome. The mushroom quiche was good. Ordered a breakfast roll which tasted like the south Indian pesarattu and wasnt liked by us. Overall, a nice place to relax and have a long chat with friends accompanied by good food and nice ambience.

One of best place to have breakfast /Brunch. It is located at alwarpet. To be precise - It is below the kotturpuram bridge via teynampet. They have wide variety of croissants,chocolates and super healthy bowls. The service was quick and Recommend this place to have quality time with friends.

Visited this place during the morning hours. Ample parking available and at road side. Covid precautions being taken before u enter. The visual appeal once you enter inside is great with lot of sunlight entering in. Coming to the food. Menu is definitely on the pricier side. I had one of the sandwiches which was definitely delicious. Their bread is quite amazing. One of the best I had. And quite filling too. Thought it was advertised as sandwich comes with some sides I didnt get anythin. Had a cappuccino also which was good. But the quantity was not much for the amount paid. Highlight was the croissant. Light and delicious it was definitely one of the best Ive had. Brownie croissant also was delicious but very rich. Definitely a must try out place..

This was my first visit to Bread & Chocolate and I absolutely loved it - both the food and the ambience. We had the Mezze platter, Spiced Cottage Cheese Sandwich, chocolate babka, and a croissant. The outdoor seating is super quaint and well designed, however its a challenge to sit there in the humid weather.The staff were friendly and also ensured all safety protocols were followed. Definitely a must visit when in Chennai!

The ambience was good. The place was good to seat and relax to have some coffee and desserts. But you will not get that much variety of desserts to eat. If you are craving for more desserts, I would recommend you to look for other places than this place. All the things which they have is a French type cusinie. Limited varieties only available. The desserts which I ate was too good. Was delicious.

I have been to Bread & Chocolate in Auroville and have always loved the food. The B&C Chennai takes that experience to another level with a gorgeous space with high ceiling, natural lighting, mezzanine dine in cafe and excellent food and coffee. This is a great space to come alone, with friends or even with family for superb cafe food. There are many VEGAN options in the menu. The prices are on the higher side (obviously! But within expectations of such a superb cafe) but no regrets as everything is excellent .

Love the food here. Great presentation, flavour profiles and array. Price meets the quality of what you get to eat. Brilliant work by Daniel & the Subko team. Coffee can be a slight mishap at times, but still it’s good coffee! Recommend any day over other bakeries or breakfast places in Chennai.

The food is just amazing! Perfect place to visit on a lazy day for brunch as you get to try a lot more items on the menu. Dont miss out on the B&C toast and make sure to try the smoothie bowls and breakfast wrap. And be mindful when ordering as the portions are pretty huge!Will definitely keep going back and highly recommended! Really wish they had more eggless options to choose from their viennoiseries though.

Absolute divine!!!Have searched a lot for the most perfect and balanced desserts and have finally found the place. Havent visited the branch yet but got a small hamper consisting of a few items. They all were just heavenly.

Overpriced, bland, burnt and chewy sandwiches. Do not go to this place if you are hungry and want some tasty food to fill your stomach. Pastries and shakes are fine. Vegans paradise Id say. Meat eaters please dont waste your money. Big no if youre a foodie who want to have a good time. DO NOT ORDER HOT CHOCOLATE - Theyll ruin it for you (I mean whats with the Honey/banana flavor in hot chocolate?)

Love the croissants here! Their bakery items are too good! But compared to their Auroville branch, the food is not as tasty here. Would definitely recommend their baked goods and coffee! Lovely ambiance, kudos to Studio aasary for designing such a lovely place!

Eating at bread and chocolate makes it feel as if you’re not even in Chennai. The ambience is amazing and the food tastes beyond heavenly. The only reason I’ve cut down a star is because the prices are a little on the high end but the quantity surely does make up for it. It is a through and through breakfast place and the menu is limited to items such as croissants and sandwiches. However, their pain ah chocolat is a MUST have. Will definitely come back for their smoothie bowl.

4 stars for the food given the price, but 5 stars overall for the coffee and ambience. One of the most quaint places in Chennai.

The one in Pondicherry has always been everyones favorite, this branch? Not so much. It is so beautiful and really transforms your experience with its set up , however it is in the high end of prices and the quality could be much much better. It seems rather over hyped in Chennai (However Its GREAT at Pondi). Maybe we just need to give them some time to set to our taste buds!?

The ambience of the place is too great. All products are vegetarian and they use sour bread for sandwiches. I had tried the plain and chocolate Crossaints which were delicious. Even the sandwich with sour bread was really yum. Nice place to visit on weekends with friends and family.

If youre a fan of dark chocolate and signature desserts then this could be a good try.Never had the chance to visit the branch in pondy, finally visited the chennai one. I tried their hot chocolate and stuffed croissant and bread chocolate.The lemon flavour and the stuffing was pretty in the croissant and the hot chocolate was bit dark as i wished.In terms of seatings, the places was pretty much occupied on weekends, but it was a good ambience.

The chocolate pancake was yum....the breakfast hash n Summertime tartine was ok.... nothing great....latino latte was good....dont expect bacon n sausages ....all u get is egg....my freinds wer disappointed .....wanted to try out ....pricey...the place is nicely done up....cool place to hang out.

Loved the ambience. Want to visit it again just for that. Their croissant is a must try. Not a wide range of menu to choose from but the available food was decent. Valet parking available for four wheelers. Two wheeler parking not available.

Cest trop bon... This is what I have to say. A lovely famous place which is trending in Chennai. The French bakery which captured everyone hearts in Chennai. My recent visit was just a take away for a first time but I will definitely pay a visit again for dine-in. Flaky buttery croissants and the perfect sourdoughs available... Grab your baguettes, and French pastries.

Was quite excited about this place, however it was a little bit of a disappointment. Personally I like the Auroville one better. The sourdough bread was super dry and was difficult to bite into.

Enjoyed the smoothie Tomato & spinach Shakshouka, the bread quality is not consistent, some slices are too hard. Overall the food and ambience was good, service & smile needs to improve.

Poor customer service and only passable products. The team did not slice the breads (sourdough, baguette) bought in spite of telling them. They just took it inside and handed over the brown packet and I only discovered it later. The price is atrocious too. There are better bakeries nearby with equally good products.

Even though its usually loaded with people, they have a very welcoming atmosphere with the aroma of freshly prepared coffee fusing with the smell of croissants getting baked in the kitchen. This is a good place in Chennai for people who love healthy, vegan, and vegetarian food. The ambiance is good and the service is quick. I visited this cafe with my friend and I had a great time here while dining for a morning breakfast. Thankfully I was able to get my hands on some of the few bakes. Butter baked Croissant, Sourdough bread tofu toast, Pain Au Chocolat, and banana muffin cake. Bread and Chocolate is a lovely breakfast cafe with a freshly baked food smell and a comforting atmosphere. I would say that this place is slightly crowded but the food served here is exquisite.

The ambience is good, but the food and coffee are nothing to write home about. While the menu appears innovative and enticing, the taste and variety of the the actual dishes is a tad disappointing. The sourdough breads are nice, croissants are passable, but the breakfast plates can be given a miss. They do have a good variety of pastries. 3.5 stars.

Just another upscale cafe like Starbucks, nothing too fancy. Crowd is mostly young working professionals with money to spend and look fashionable. Its definitely a good place for a business meeting or a date though. Hence you get a pricey menu card for the experience. The croissants were very good, although Id appreciate it if you guys could throw in a few more pastries like an Éclair or cheesecakes.

Few months back had been to bread and chocolate in Pondy. This is the Chennai branch and luckily the taste and price is almost the same. Its very spacious inside and valet parking is available. Food is continental breakfast. Mostly vegetarian with egg. Tasty and yummy food. Quantity is quite nice. Go for it and you will love it. I went for breakfast

With so few good places for breakfast in Chennai, my friends and I were very happy to meet at Bread and Chocolate (opens @ 8 am, every day, this is the same brand from Pondicherry). Food is delicious. Price is a little high, but portions are big enough for 2 people to share if preferred. Tip: if you want to buy the sourdough bread, stop by after 2 pm.

It is a happening place in Chennai nowadays. Food is great and so bread is as you can guess from the name of the place.Even if you go 9 am on Saturday, there is no place so better hurry.I recommend to take bread away if you want to avoid waiting and hassel.

I had a lovely experience ordering via dunzo in Bread and chocolate. Ritu who answered the call even when to the extent of opening her dunzo app to give me step by step guide on how it has to be ordered!! love their customer obsession!!

The kitchen closes at 5PM, although the cafe is open till 8. We went in by 4.45 and were able to have only hot chocolate.The place is well lit. Its a perfect for some relaxing- book reading- movie watching- catching up with buddies kinda place. The variety of food is a little disappointing. Service could be better too.
