In egmore, you have a good chat shop which is back of the Prince plaza. It’s a very calm surrounding. No one knew that store. And you have a parking lot over there. If you come in bike or car, you can park over there. And this place is famous for muruku sandwich. This taste is mouth watering. You will not stop eating this when u have one. This is packed with 🧀 cheese, onions, tomatoes and finally green chutney. Which gives you a wonderful taste. That can’t be explained. And this place not only serves you a chat items but also sweets 🍭 but the only downside of this store is you need to pay and get token. And give that token to the Serving guy which makes me little long than usual. So what I try to tell this is that. It’s better to order everything at first than going and standing to buy other items. One and only if you come with 4 or 5 friends. This method is suitable. If you come in less number. You can order less. Why I’m saying is you cannot eat more. So try this place with your family and friends. You guys will definitely like it.

Not a regular visitor, but whenever I visit nearby areas I make sure to have a small bite of North Indian chats and jilebi. Tastes so authentic and great. Since Im a visitor over a decade, I think they have increased the prices drastically. Its a good once in awhile affair.

Ajnabi is my favourite place to go to grab chat. The North Indian flavours greet you in the small, but cosy place. Located right behind fountain Plaza, it has a wide variety of choices to pick from. The service is quick and the food is delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the quantity of the food is very satisfying. Over all a great place to go to if youre craving some good north Indian chat!

An old North Indian chat shop grown to a very busy sweet and snacks centre in Egmore. Has a very good array of sweets and savouries and a live chat counter. Seating is minimal, ambience good. On weekends and evenings the place is crowded which somehow affects the service.

Best place for north indian style chat items and sweets too. If you go there definetly try Bhel puri and Chola Bhatura.

One of the best chat shop in Egmore. Peoples always visit Fountain Plaza to take some sweets and chat items here. Pani Puri, Masala Puri, Bhel Puri, Dahi Puri are really taste good. Usually I have two Dahi Puri each time. Some ghee sweets are also really yummy to taste. Wrong time to visit during holiday season times like Diwali/Pongal.

Ajnabi is situated in foutain plaza in egmore. It is a favorite joint for chat and sweets Clean & hygienic place. Price seems to be on higher side compared. The variety of snacks items will make you feel hungry each time passing through the Egmore fountain Plaza I can safely say this place has the best chaat in the city. every dish was a treat. The Raj Kachori was the best of what we had. bhel puri was crisp and generous in portion. Dahi papdi chaat, dhokla and cheese toast were all good.yoy may have to stand and eat because there arent many tables and the place gets quite crowded in the evening time.

The place is not like before I and my family have eaten here for years but the taste is not like before our recent visit was a week back and we felt all the food items tasted sub par or below what it usually tasted like. Please stay away from this place.

One of the best places in Chennai for chaats. The Dhai Puri is so good. The other chaats are good too, like the Murku Sandwich and the Sev Paapad. Pani puri is average though. There are sweets available here too, along with a wide variety of Indian snacks.

Think of some authentic vintage place Chaat and Ajnabi is the place. Apart from his chaat you should go for some namkeen or nick knacks that you dont get anywhere.

Batura was so hard and tasteless. The owner’s reaction was much worse. He spoke to his staff and just ignored me.

Best chaat shop in egmore .. good taste .. different varieties

Ajnabi has been a favourite haunt since we were in school in the late 80s. It has grown since then yet some of the items have not changed much in Quality. Bhel had changed since then and is relatively better than most places. Jalebi last time was not fresh and for the first time felt old in terms of taste. So its been a Mixed bag.... lets hope that these improve. Overall 4 to 4.5 ....

One among few Best places in chennai for chats.

One of my all time favorite chat shops in Chennai. Its also one of the oldest in the city. Parking is not an issue (its chargeable by the fountain plaza). One can also shop for unbranded items of high quality at decent prices in the plaza before refilling themselves at Ajnabi. The outlet however needs to invest in better housekeeping manpower to make the place feel more clean.
