I am a fan of red box and was literally craving for the food. But when my food arrived I must say I was disappointed!Here’s what I ordered:1. Chicken momos- no complaints. Tastes nice with a lot of chicken stuffed inside the momo. Loved the chilli garlic chutney.2. Chicken chilli garlic noodles with kung pow chicken-the noodles was oily and was just normal white and plain Hakka noodles tossed with vegetables (I could see just carrots, cabbage and spinach, like two leaves). I saw pulps of the brown paste that they used to mix, clearly not blended and hence the lack of flavour.The sauce was definitely not Kung pow sauce and was close to a chilli chicken or a Szechwan sauce on the spice level. Kung pow sauce is lighter in colour and milder in spice compared to the other two.3. Chicken monchow rice with black pepper sauce-the rice tasted ok but was sticky and chewy. The pepper sauce was a disaster. It was extremely salty.

I order food regularly at red box and the food is good too. but yesterday was a nightmare. i ordered chicken noodles from red box for dinner. halfway into meal box there was a bug in the noodles and when i took it out it had blood in it. it was totally disgusting. please check the hygiene standards of your food next time please red box. totally disappointed.

The Red Box is a small little kiosk located on Nungambakkam High Road. I had crossed it several times, and the cute take away package excited me the most. The first time I ordered from them it was a Sunday. The kiosk serves only a specific variety of noodles/fried rice along with a set side dish that varies every day of the week. Sunday special was The Shangai noodles with baked potatoes. I was extremely enthralled with the food delivery, as they arrived 15 minutes within the order was placed, and did not charge me extra for delivery. The quantity was great for the price I was paying, and it was served hot, and tasted really good. I had a great meal and hence on several ocassions have ordered from here. Their Nanking noodles and Chilli Garlic noodles are also sumptuous and delicious. They also have momos served everyday, and the momos are just about average in taste. Overall, a great place for take away when youre craving some cheap, chinese food !

Definitely one of the best Chinese takeaway business in the city. I really like seeing my food in the red takeaway box. One box is really sufficient for one person. Pricing is not expensive and their delivery service is good too.

They might be cheaper in price, so they sell uncooked or half cooked meet, I had this bad experience in Moggapair outlet... So pls avoid buying chicken or beef here...

One of the poor customer service. They dont treat you royally, food is worst, delivery is like you will receive the next day if you order now. Pathetic service. These guys will not listen to what you say. They are attrotious. Humble requestpls don order.
