Decided at the very last minute to have Chinese food for lunch! China Town just amazed us! The decor is ok, the food was awesome. Staff very pleasant and smiling. The manager kind and courteous.It has been a very long time since we ate some authentic Indo-Chinese, and China Town did not disappoint!I shall be returning to China Town...hungry for more!!

A hidden gem for sure !!! In the past 15 years, Ive visited Chennai almost every month and even after living here for a few years here, today for the first time I visited China Town, very well maintained and super hygienic, the soup was ok but their signature chicken and chefs recommendation on the noodle was one of the best indo Chinese Ive had. Go with the chefs recomended menu, you wouldnt be disappointed.

We reserved a table at Chinatown through a call and the manager Mr.Ravi Padmanabhan was very helpful. We went will small children and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Right from the starters, soups and until the main course everything tasted great. They took extra care for certain dishes as we wanted them without onion and garlic. The quantity is quite decent and the food is mouth watering. When we finally ordered the fresh lime water for my children, Mr. Ravi gave us as 1/2 with separate glasses for each of them, which was extremely thoughtful. Four stars only because service charge was included in the bill which should have ideally been at the customers discretion. Nevertheless, we do plan to visit again for the amazing food and experience.

The food here is absolutely amazing.You should try the squid, beef fry and thr fried rice!The staff were nice but the bathrooms werent as clean as its supposed to be.They do provide wifi and serve on time!

Have ordered food here many a times through swiggy and loved it and considered it one of the best Chinese restaurants in Chennai...last two orders had the worst experience.. ordered crab soup and the crab was spoilt and got sick for a day...thought I d give them the benefit of the doubt and ordere again today and the chilli chicken which is the best seller had no chicken jus flour and barely any chicken and the worst part is it tasted fishy like it was spoilt and was felt disheartened and had to stop eating...expect more from such a place when they charge premium prices hope they fix it and dont disappoint some one elses experience

Food is good and reasonably priced. The only thing that lets you down is the entrance. It is dingy. Badly maintained. Will think many many times to take friends from out of town to such a joint. The very entrance will put one down however to food is. Service is good. Value for money. The lighting in the entrance is surely be improved. Good luck

Good decent place to chill out with friends with big appetite

Im a huge fun of Chinese cuisines, and this is one of the best. I really loved it. The ambience and the food was really good. And they do have discounts on HDFC, CITI and other cards. Overall a really lovely place for family and also for couples.

Its one of the citys popular chinese food restaurant and the best place to dine with family. The service is always prompt and all staff are courteous and professional. The manager of the restaurant is so attentive to details of the customers choice and options. Theres a great deal of options to choose from the menu. The quality of the food items is high and all the items that we ordered were delicious.

Firstly there was a waiting time where we had to wait for atleast 10 mins. But thats fine. The soup was lovely. But one of the veg clear soups tasted like it had non veg in it. Meaning it smelled horrible. The starters we ordered was dragon chicken one of my favorites. Was fabulous and tasty AF. The dragon heart mocktail was horrible since it was too syrupy. The other chicken stuff was awesome and noodles and rice and all. Anything related to fish and chicken meals was pretty perfect. So my verdict is I liked the place. Thank you China Town.

China Town has been one of the best Chinese restaurants in Chennai. But this time, in addition to their Chinese buffet, they have an awesome à la carte !!! If you are in for feasting yourself with authentic Mongolian food, you must try Mongolian Food Festival @ China Town, R.K Salai, Chennai before 7th Jan 2018.Truly a festival of Mongolian authentic cuisine. We tried Mongolian Lamb Soup, Chicken Lettuce Wrap, Roast Lamb Salad, Mongolian Monster (jumbo Dimsum), Khuushuur (Horeshure - deep fried lamb parcel), Assorted Mushroom with 3 types of mushroom, Mongo Fried rice, Mongolian Beef with fried rice noodles, Mongolian Sizzler with Noodles and with any choice of meat, Sizzling Fried Pineapple with Vanilla Ice Cream, Khans Delight ( a dessert with crispy pancake base, topped with caramelized banana, chocolate, nuts), an outright show stealer!

This place is kind of hole in a wall, I mean elevator to the restaurant is a hole in a wall. I accidentally stumbled on it. I had a reservation for Sera, a tapas bar. But I was not aware that kids are nor allowed in it. I was very disappointed, but now I feel it’s good that it happen. So now coming back to China town. Food hit all the right nodes. Everything we ordered was so good. Be it noodles, dim sum, chicken and dessert. Server was good and helpful. Even drinks they have are so good. Ginger lemon soda is a must try.Food is good in a restaurant, big deal. Now I will talk about the manager in charge. He is a gem of a person. I have not seen such a honest person. Sir I owe you a big thank you.

Decent indo Chinese food.

The entry to this place is seriously alarming. The narrow passage that leads to a lift lobby and an old world lift that takes u to the restaurant. The ambience was very typical. Reminded me of all the predictable Indian Chinese food joints with the cheap red lanterns and everything red with chinese scripts printed on it.The food is another story altogether. I must say, the food impressed me. We ordered manchow soup, chicken corn and veg wanton soup. All 3 good. My favorite, prawn dumplings👍 I must say this was the best dish I had here. Much better than so many fine dining places Ive tried. For main course we had 8 spice vegetables in black bean sauce and veg fried rice. Very flavorful. Overall the food is the best thing here. The service compliments the entire experience. Highly recommend 👌

Awesome place, good and tasty food, fast delivery of food.

We decided to go to China Town today for lunch based on recommendations from a friend. The experience was really awesome. First of all, the valet parking was very efficient. The restaurant itself is located at the back of the building on 3rd floor. Has a rustic look. Reminded me of the Chinese restaurants in rural China. The menu had to be read from a QR code. That took some effort; it was a really large spread. We ordered both Veg and non veg. Every dish was absolutely super; very tasty. Chef Sanjay kumar ensured that the dishes for my grandchildren were mild in spices. They also served some dishes with no onion and no garlic at our request. Still every dish was very tasty. The service was superb 😃. On the whole, a memorable experience.

Best Chinese food in Chennai for a reasonable price

The Mongolian festival at China town has some awesome authentic food. It is on till 7th January 2017.

Surely the place has seen its hey deys and its telling. I went to this place with a lot of expectations after a decade or so, and yes the decor, staff and ushering in did not disappoint. However the food preparation was not upto the mark, especially the chilli coriander chicken soup and chilli chicken. The chicken seemed to have jumped straight from freezer to the plate, and as a result was not very enjoyable. The people and ambiance saved the evening to a certain extent. A must skip at these standards!

Food is delicious. Worth to visit with family.

Crispy lamb is good for 495₹, crab rice for 375₹, chicken domain 295₹ for 6 pieces is not worth, 125₹ caramel pudding is good. But you can make it with 43₹ ready to make caramel pudding packs with half kg of milk withing few minutes.

Been visiting this place for more than a decade. Nothing has changed much. But thats good. I really like the consistent taste, hygiene, service and customer centric approach. Their starters are amazing. Mains are quantifying. My favourites are - lemon grass soup, dim sums, spring roll, veg rice, black bean sauce veggies and ice cream with litchi. A quiet and cozy place. Bit pricey but i think its worth it. Give it a try, well you may not know.. you might go regularly for a decade.

Its 25 years that we have been to China Town and the one thing constant then and now is the good quality of food and the kind way staff treats you .In these years , working models have changed .People prefer to order online rather than dine out and restaurants have faced competition from Zomato ,swiggy not to forget pandemic that spelt doom to many businesses .Its refreshing to see the way China Town has gone about these.Inspite of these challenges ,they have made sure there is no compromise on food quality and customer satisfactionThe manager Ravi leads by example and not just talk but walk the talk by helping out the staff and being part of their activities.Wonderful evening spent with beautiful memories and lots of wonderful live lessons learnt which I will cherish for life .I am looking forward to visit China Town soon ... Best for Chinese cuisine.I will give it a 10 star.I had sweet corn chicken soup,chicken fried rice,Lie seuy chicken gravy and sizzling brownie with ice cream.All of them were equally good.People there make you feel at home.Must go one!

A bit pricy but its worth it

Excellent dining experience. Food is great as usual. The only issue is the approach to the restaurant. You may even feel unsafe while walking towards the lift and until you reach the restaurant.

Whenever I crave for chinese food, one place that comes to my mind is CHINA TOWN. Its been 10 years Im regularly coming with my family. I always like the ambience of the place, food quality, taste, professional service of the staffs and the positive energy.

We enjoyed the tasty food and the hospitality of Mr.Ravi. China Town is consistently maintaining the authentic taste.

Best Chinese restaurant in the Chennai City, As i was a small kid I always crazy to have Chinese food like the yummy Fried Rice. Especially the Chinatown always serve best tasting tasty food always as it mouth Watering bud n aromatic. I wanted Chinatown restaurant to serve Buffet daily as it would be great start for dinning in evening or late nights to hang around it . The menu namely Butter Garlic chicken noodles was so very tasty and the Yang Chow fried rice was superb. I would like to always visit Chinatown everyday to fulfill my mouth watering stomach. And i also congrats the staffs and the manager Vineet padmanabhan sir who maintained the restaurant very long as so many years back. Very good clean hygiene healthy food, more tasty delicious food on all the time n always. Good luck team Chinatown.

Went for a quick lunch. The main entrance is through the back but there was a guy standing outside to direct customers. I opted for the buffet. The soup of the day was the chicken hot and sour soup. It was spicy but a little salty. They brought 4 different types of appetizers which were all flavorful and fresh. The buffet had 6 vegetarian and 6 non-veg options. All the dishes were kept hot and refilled in time. The sauces for each dish tasted different and flavorful. There were sufficient meat pieces in each dish.I ordered a fresh lime juice which was sweet and tasty. There were quite a few dessert options but I didnt try them.The price of the buffet was a downer though. You could certainly feed a whole family for the price of a single buffet. And thats what knocked it down one star.

Went for a weekday night buffet. It was very good. Lot of starters served in Ur table. I was full halfway thru the starters but wait there is more at the main course. Food was very delicious. Worth the price 600per plate.

Of the many years Ive been here, china town hasnt changed a bit and I love it. It is a very nostalgic experience for me since Ive been here many times from my childhood and the ambience here is awesome and is something Ive come to associate with a mystical experience. Next the food is epic- all authentic chinese cuisine with amazing taste and feel. The staff are well mannered and polite, exceptional service provided. Valet parking is available too which is a plus.The hygiene is also exceptional, as in the many years my family has come to China town, weve never fallen ill from young to old. 10/10 a very good experience which I would recommend trying out! Dont forget to try out the pina colada and the dragon chicken!
