Frozen old meat half cooked. Had only mutton kuska not Briyani. Waste of money not even one single flush is good. Hope the rice is cooked today.

The quantity has come down drastically. The taste is ok. Surprisingly there are no forks in the restaurant. Service was good. Has become costlier than before. Value for money???

This is not food. They basically serve gravy, which is just spiced sauces, with no real meat or fish in sight. They could tell us they dont have food to serve, but to serve spicy gravy calling it food? Avoid.

Worst of all. No standards no taste. Food is not warm even. Fish in fish curry was like old ones. Chicken 65 and mutton in mutton briyani were so stiff and hard like old ones reheated. No wonders if it causes food poisoning also.

Not hygenic its was mixed with leftover food of others who kept remaining in plates and will be served feel very disgusting as i ate it depressed too after coming out of hotel even i asked the serving person they told no we dint do it...but still i dont belive as the food was not hot as well felt bad to eat.avod eating here totally

Ordered fish 65 and chicken gravy . Both are worst and waste of money . Fish 65 is very very oil . Chichen gravy is not good and chicken is very old . I wont prefer anjapar again.

Food is not tasty..Briyani is not at all a Briyani..It is like an ordinary kuzhambu rice..After serving the rice, it was kept idle in the banana leaf and the servers are not pouring or giving the kuhambu, rasam and curd to the people waiting for those things.Service was very very bad because of the shortage of the staff members.அஞ்சப்பர் ஓட்டலுக்கு சென்று சாப்பிட இனி மிகவும் அஞ்ச வேண்டும்.

The paneer 65 was too dry. The mutton biryani rice was good but the meat wasnt as soft as I thought.

My recent experience was not a great one as the taste level has definitely dropped down. Also the wait time was long and order in which food was served was not matching.Quantity of food does not match the high price.Pros:1. Location2. You can always find a table3. Polite attendersCons:1. A good chettinad restaurant in Chennai. I came here after 5 years now and the taste is still the same authentic one ! I liked the mutton chukka and their wheat parotta. This restaurant is located in the first floor and they have a parking facility in front of the restaurant. 👍🏻✌️

Anjappar Chettinad hotel is an ancient hotel which serves good quality Chettinad cuisines all over Tamil nadu, India and Abroad. Their authentic Chettinad spices with delicious masalas make every mouth water to their aroma and taste. This anjappar hotel is located in cathedral road and has been there for almost a decade. Recently it has lost its popularity due to improper management, one would still find the walls battered and old stickers and paints hanging in the middle of the restaurant, which is a big minus. But the quality of the food is still better. Anjappar offer good discounts, coupons and combos in nearby and other food apps, which are a great buy. Their speciality is non-vegetarian cuisines with their own Chettinad style gravies. Recently they have added Chinese and Mediterranean cuisines also, but I would strictly recommend having their south Indian dishes. The restaurant is located in the first floor and they have elevators. Its basically located in a complex on the main road, next to reliance towers. Dishes are not very expensive, when compared to other popular restaurants in Chennai. It comes to around 700-800 for a couple including dessert, which is very much affordable. The restaurant has a Chettinad house like theme resembling old Chettinad style homes and villas with big pillars and copper vessel as cutlery. Traditional tanjour paintings are present which are a sight to watch. Overall a very decent place, do check it out. Cheers

Biriyani tasted really bad.. other side dishes were salty.. worst experienceWorst thing and funny thing was...I ordered mutton Biriyani.. when I put it on my plate.. I realized it was chicken.. Then they said, sorry sir! But you can have it with no cost.. .. But you know what the chicken Biriyani too tasted really bad.

The restuarant is good but few occassions the fish tikka always smelly, I hope the fish is iced. Also chicken lollipop was bad so didnt order from next time.Other dishes was fine and great.

Food was really awesome especially the crab roast is one must try. Loved all the ambience of restaurant. The service was really appreciatble, the guy Mr. RENJITH was really polite and served everything at utmost safety and with very humble nature. The cost is little dearer for certain items when compared to charges levied by other hoteliers.

Recommended by a dear friend, therefore I paid a visit to this place and simply loved it. Variety of dishes and all palatable. Crab roast masala was simply superb.. a must go joint

A day saver for me. I tried boneless mutton shukha with chapati. I suggest go for tandoori roti only not phulka, as its not phulka. You can try this gravy with rice as well. What I saw was most people trying mutton biryani, it looks delicious as well. I was tired of searching for a good place, found it right on the road and its place near many shopping complexes, so commute was not an issue. Interior was good too.

Visited Anjappar after a long gap. And surprisingly ended up loving their barbecue chicken. Service was good - staffs were polite and courteous.

The restaurant was nice and the food as always was good. I think this is one of the anjappar restaurant that looks a little upscale.

Worst shocking experience. They could not organise table. No manners for service personnel. Displayed food not available. Even menu item gulab jamun was not available. No water for washing hands. Wash area littered with full of used tissue papers. Most pathetic. Not cleaned. Despite bringing these to the attention of cash counter persons, they kept mum. Not even apologised. Most stupid hotel. Would never go there again.

The place has good kothu parotta also...Do try the rabbit if you are lucky enough and if its available...last 3 years whenever i go they say its over...
