Disgusting way of conducting exams!They conducted 2 mock tests before the final online exams. The mock tests did not work well there was always a 404 error or blank screens in between.The blunder was the final exam, the day of the exam students kept on trying to load the exam but could only see a blank screen or 404 error on the screen so had to reschedule it the next day.And guess what the same thing the next day the exam was at 11 am and now its 11.55 am no information from VIT and students ate still trying to open the exam.Well, i had a good reputation of VIT but not any more. I wonder how will they teach Computer Science to engineering students when they cant even have a proper entrance exam.Think twice before joining this institute.

As an 8 year old institution, its amazing how fast they have grown and looking at the speed of development I hope in commingled years, it would be more beautiful. Its clean and green. Along with good faculty and staff, they have amazing students as well.You will meet people from different part of the country.

Hostel blocks and academic blocks are clean and very well constructed. The greenery across the campus is something everyone admires. Techinical fests and sports fests are too cool. Because of the campus ascethic nature movie shootings happen frequently. Really impressed with its infrastructure facilities inside the College Premise. It is really world-class. Amount of young and energetic students collaborating with each other in a very healthy and lively environment. Lush green lawns, surrounded with pristine nature, this college has the potential t o be one of the best

Possibly one of the best colleges in Chennai to study in. Not because of the its name or the opinion people have of it, here you have loads of opportunities to do what you like and make yourself a better person. Apart from books and academics there are various things one could do and set himself apart from the crowd. Also students are treated like proper adults here, no crazy rules about dress code and talking with the other sex(although we do have rules).

I have been at the city campus for entrance and obviously I did not crack it. But since I went there I just took a quick look there. The campus is beautifully maintained. The academic block is beautiful. The labs are extremely good. I dont know about the hostel there. There are small cottage type canteens built. There you have a small chat or little snack break. The campus maintains strict discipline inside. Construction is still on the process as the campus just began few years back, until then all students will have to go to Vellore. Now city students and other nearby people have the convenience to study at ease. I dont know if the varsity has transport facility. As far as I know it is not available. Overall it is a good campus to study. Sadly I couldnt make it up to study there.

OK I have given 1 star because there is nothing less than that. Except for the huge campus the university has nothing to be proud about. I happened to be there for a so called international conference ICTMEG 2019 and it was nightmare. The hospitality, organization, Time management, cleanliness, (which was not there) the disastrous dormitory for which we paid 750/head... Most horrible experience for all the delegates who attended the conference. Even smaller colleges organise better conferences and treat guests properly..

As an Ex-STUDENT can vouch for my claim. Dont waste your time here. Barring few faculties, rest are on an EGO TRIP. Except pressure, nothing Intellectual you take back after your time here.Academic research is one of the highlights here, which is for a duration of 3- 31/2months(every semester). Oh! Not to forget, you have 6 theory and 2 labs apart from this research -all of it in one semester.Comprehensive IEEE paper reading will itself take more than 2 months; on top of that finding loopholes or a substantial improvement to the existing work and implementing it, all this in 3 months, is a TOTAL JOKE.UNNECESSARY FORCEFUL PRESSURE in the name of VIT-Chennai Campus is publishing more research papers than any other University, is a mere HOGWASH.

Please dont join and screw your lifes and also the faculty of Chennai are so bad that they keep arrears and take money and play with life of others

No one is picking up the phone...when we call the number they hv given, it keeps on ringing.......such an irreseponsible institution...we have admitted my son this year. And we are kept in dark about the reopening, bus timing etc.Even when try to contact them, the calls are not at all answered.

A lot of companies come here for placements starting from package more than 4 lacs per annum.. A few companies also come with package more than 10 lacs p.a but the number of students they pick are very limited.The infrastructure here is built in such a manner that it is of useful to students in every manner.All the classrooms are equipped with projectors and speakers which help the professors to convey what they want in an easy manner.A library with 8 storeys fully equipped with books of all genres and departments. It also has subscription to all published journal papers which the students could use to improve their understanding and knowledge.E-library is also available.The labs are well equipped with different softwares of both freewares and proprietary softwares.A medical facility is also there inside the campus itself. And Chettinad Hospital is very nearby to campus.All kinds of sports are supported here.A supermarket is present inside the campus itself. Many canteens are present providing different cuisines.Most of the teachers here are very well knowledgeable and many of them have done phD and have doctorate.All the teachers are very helpful to the students and thus answer all the questions that the students ask without any hesitation even not during the class hours.Maximum of 60 students could only be present in a single class which gives individual attention to every student.The Fully Flexible Credit System gives the students the every right to select which courses they want to study in a particular semester, in what time slot they want to take up the course, under which faculty they need to learn, etc..The CAL curriculum here includes a project component , and hence students are expected a do a mini-project in every course they learn which also gives them the practical knowledge. This helps students to learn the applications of what they learn, and how could it be deployed, etc..Every year, two fests happen here. One, tech fest under the name of TechnoVit and other a cultural fest, under the name of Vibrance.College is very little away from Chennai city but it totally doesnt pose any problem to the students here as the college itself has every required amenity. In not more than 15 minutes, students can get into the city if needed.A lot of workshops and extra-curriculur activities will be happening every once in a while.

This is the world class premier institute,VITs Chennai campus situated in Kelambakkam Vandaloor Road in Chennai. The Institute is offering Engineering courses in various branches. Placement is facilitated by the Institute. Students from across India are studying here. There are girls and boys hostel available inside the campus. Cafeteria, super market, ATM and banks are also available. Foot ball, Cricket and Volleyball playgrounds are there inside.

Great Staff (everyone here has extensive research and teaching experience) there are very renowned faculty who’ve worked with drdo, igcar, etc. The ambience is great. We can enjoy studying with fun in the right mix.

•This building is around 8-9 years old now. It has undergone some minor rennoations over the years. It has 8 floors which can be reached via any of the 2 out of 6 working elevators.•Coming to the classrooms, they arent spacious enough to seat 50-60 students at once which is the usual strength in most classes. Most of the classes have orange curtains which havent been washed properly in a long time. Sometimes, it can get too hot during summers.•The furniture is decent but has no aesthetics. Not even good for sleeping. The most important feature of any table and chair, the place to rest your legs on, is misising in so many tables.•The corridors are just white and beige. No posters, artwork, nothing. Plain, dull corridors.•Theres Gazebo on the first floor where you can get fast food. It isnt pocket-friendly for college students. There was Amul on the fourth floor which the college authorities shut down in 2018. There are two photocopy shops; ground and 6th floor.•The hangout spot is Portico. Not very big. Dance and drama clubs also practice here sometimes.

The campus is very impressive. The placement prospects are very bright and promising. Being in Chennai, industrial visits are frequent.

Am doing PhD here you will learn everything yourself when come to get a degree.... By self study. The faculty here is everyone is with PhD and even PDF😛. Most of them are from IITs and NITs. They will teach you a lot ore than they have learnt. They are up to date they update themselves by involving in research activities. Each and every staff here publish papers by their research students. Most of the faculty will have full time research scholar.

I feel VIT chennai is better than VIT vellore. College is small compared to the main campus but infrastructure is way better than then the main campus. For interview , people need to go to vellore early morning and attend for the interviews. Overall its a good experience to study there. Teachers are promote project based learning than the theoritical. 1st and 2nd year students will have field trips as well. Only 1 cultural festival will there and 1 Technical festival. From past 2 years onwards quality of education is decreasing due to the more population in that campus.

What can I say... Different people different experiences 😐Im completing this review after completing my course here so i dont get my ass handed to me. The experience can be great to B.tech students but an M.tech from here is done by students mainly for the tag and placement (Which is even difficult for a few courses).Be aware of a few teachers who take vengeance for their personal reasons. I always imagined a society where it would be great if teachers had power in their hands and Gurukul system would be back, but it can be used so negetively, was where i failed to paint the picture.Be aware of one particular teacher in the Computer Science Dept. who many of my juniors warned me of and ultimately in the whole class, I was the only victim of her.(Damn it! Who fails a student in fast track semester {the end of the course}, all placement opportunities went into their fountain which works only during Admissions)Her initials are HM, you guys do the interpolation and stay cautious. Her lecture delivery is poor and shes like an operation blade, you wont know when she cut you.(Closest analogy, No artistic liberty taken here)All in all i think this review is a cheap shot but its also my duty to help students have a smooth time here.Jai Hind
