Iconic theatre. One of the best in the northern part of Chennai. Old world architecture and spacy.

Earlier it was a good theater and only theater in this area. But now the situation is too bad. You cant sit for 2minites. Now it can only be used for landmark.

Agasthiya is one of the oldest and finest theater in North Chennai.We love to watch films there. Its a 70mm screen with more than 1000 seats available.Metro Rail works is going to complete near the theater in a few months.It shall be a new transport facility to reach there from all parts of chennai. Devi Cineplex is still handling the theater. If they renovate, people will enjoy to watch the movies at agasthiya.Else others can take over the theater and renovate it greatly!

It was one of the awesome theater at the pervious era. But now...., ita not likely a best place to watch movies, and on top of that Metro rail works are taking place which is blocking the theater entrance. But the fact remains the theater holds a 70mm screen. Which is peculiar about this place!
