Devine place. One of the important temple for lord muruga. The temple is on top of a small hill and need to climb around 60 steps. Main deity is swamynathan swami. On the way to hill we can worship lord Siva as sundareswarar and meenakshi temple. Easily reachable from chrompet railway station and bus stop. There buses to reach the temple. Must visit temple.
A small hill - Climb few steps you could see a Sivan Temple. And to the top, you can see Lord Murugan. An evening would be an amazing time to visit. Cool Breeze, pleasant.Parking for car would be difficult. Bikes could be managed roadside
Ancient kind of model temple in a suburban place. Very nice atmosphere..only issue is with parking.. could be manageable though
It is located on small hill top, some 80 steps to be claimed to reach temple. Good peaceful location.
One of the best finds of Chennai region. Aum. As I was told, it was envisioned by Kanchi Periyava in the 40s when passing by. Samastha Lokha Sukhino Bhavanthu.
A small hillock discreetly situated amidst greenery in chromepet.Around 75 steps to reach hill top and see lord Subramania in a picturesque location.Shrines of ganapati and mahadev also there. Temple festivals conducted in a neat manner.Hall for diety display sometimes discourse concert etc except car parking issues this temple is a must visit place.
Best place to get stress out. Calm and clean temple.Infact my marriage happened innthis temple
Kumaran Kundram is almost 40 years old and is located on the hillock in Chrompet, one of the suburban areas in Chennai. At this temple, Lord Murugan is worshipped as the powerful deity as it is similar to the one in Swamimalai town in Thanjavur district in Tamil Nadu.Apart from that, other shrines of Lord Shiva, Sharabeswarar, Ganesh and Navagrahas are also placed inside the temple. Every Friday and Sunday, special prayers are recited at the temple and crowds begin to gather every Sunday from 4:30 pm to 6 pm. The temple also houses a small auditorium where musical programmes and prayer meetings are conducted. And thats not it! You can also enjoy a panoramic city view from the top of the hill.
Peacefull temple ,can enjoy silence and meditate
Awesome place to relax at Centre of city must visit all devotees
Temple is located on a small hill top. Only through 100 steps can reach top, but steps are wider and can take rest for elders while going. If you are coming by car, parking might be an issue since there is no dedicated parking area. Come by cab or bike. All gods are there in individual shrine and Murugan is in main shrine on hill top. Within Chennai area, after Kundrathur, this should be the second hilltop Murugan Temple. Like previous reviews, priest is not so good to offer good darshan. Didnt even take a second for aarathi or to offer a small flower from shrine. No crowd when I went there.
Good place to spend evening time
A humble temple with an ancient root. This temple pops up suddenly among a busy locality. Maybe the locality developed around the temple. A peaceful place to visit best during morning time. Car parking is a hassle, be ready to scout for a suitable one. Temple is maintained clean and tidy.
Best place to visit city limits, peace at its high
A small mountain, lord muruga on the top. Seperate portion for Lord Shiva, Meenakshi,Vinayagar, Navagraha, and Idumban. About 100steps are there, super scenic from the top. Windy, cool and plesant place. Closing about 9PM. Only problem is car parking. You may park your motorcycles around the temple. But difficult to find darling space for car.
Neat and Clean. Maintained properly. You have to park vehicle outside only in main road. No separate parking available. To see Kumaran you have to climb 120 steps. On the way you can see his Dad as well. Way was fitted with Sheets and you will feel Shadows only. Visit him and Enjoy the Life...

There is also a sannadhi for Lord Sarabeshwar and every Sunday Rahu Kala pooja is performed between 4.30 and 6 pm. Main deity is called Swaminatha (lord Murugan).Temple is maintained well and really peaceful. There is also daily Annadhanam.
