Such a serene and divine place. Most of the tamil film shooting used to happened here earlier. So blissful. There is no separate shrine for Budhan. The moolvar sundhreswarar should be worshipped on Wednesdays for people seeking Budhan vazipadu.

Its a lord shiva temple. So many people from different state will workship lord shiva here. Place is very silent. This place is also called by local peoples as sudareshwarar temple, Kovoor shiva temple, thirumeyneeswarar temple. This temple was constructed by kulothunga chozha in 7th centuries still there no damages happened by natural disasters.Another rarity of this temple is the Sthala Viruksham which is the Maha Vilvam tree (Bael- Aegle marmelos). This Maha Vilvam also has many medicinal properties in it. The Theertham for this temple is called Siva Gangai Theertham. This place is considered as a historical monument announced by archaeological survey of India. You can reach this place Kovur situated about 22 km from Chennai, on the road going from Porur towards Kunrathur. The temple is located about 200 meters off the main road. All 88 numbered buses will reach this place and you can reach by autos also for per head 10 rupees from kundrathur and from Porur.
