Famous for being the temple shown in.movies and serials, this hidden gem of a temple, Isa pariharasthalam for Budhan (Mercury) related issues. The temple towershows Thiyagaraja Swami, carried in.a palaquin.and refers to the temple legend of him being attacked here by robbers and two young boys (Sri Rama and Lakshmana disguise) pelting stones at the robbers

Semma powerful god is in this temple. This temple is equal to kasibkailatha swami templ.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Temple prayed by Deiva Sekkizhar in Kovur.Swami and Ambal can be prayed from same place as they are in same mandapam.Pradakshinam not allowed around Sanctum due to Covud restrictions but outside circumnabulation allowed facilitating darshan of Lord Muruga,Ganesh ,Durga and Chandikeswar.Fairly big and clean corridors.
Poosari is not responsive for asking the details about Budhan parikaram. Not answering anything whatever you ask.

Its a lord shiva temple. So many people from different state will workship lord shiva here. Place is very silent. This place is also called by local peoples as sudareshwarar temple, Kovoor shiva temple, thirumeyneeswarar temple. This temple was constructed by kulothunga chozha in 7th centuries still there no damages happened by natural disasters.Another rarity of this temple is the Sthala Viruksham which is the Maha Vilvam tree (Bael- Aegle marmelos). This Maha Vilvam also has many medicinal properties in it. The Theertham for this temple is called Siva Gangai Theertham. This place is considered as a historical monument announced by archaeological survey of India. You can reach this place Kovur situated about 22 km from Chennai, on the road going from Porur towards Kunrathur. The temple is located about 200 meters off the main road.
