Nothing below average nor above, typical small station in Chennai metropolitan served by local EMU trains. The ticket counter is located at the crossing which pushes people to use the footbridge. The platform are reasonably clean and maintained. Seatings are available whilst waiting for train.

Good place easy access to famous pallavaram market

The station is strategically important as it is one of the stops between tambram and chennai beach. Only local trains stop here. Please dont expect any other kind of trains to stop here. It has shops for drinking water and the charges are very low. It has shops for snacks too. But tobe honest it is very dirty with plastic bottles all over the track. Please find it in the image here.

Afternoon time you can get the tickets easily in ticket counter because of less crowd...3 platforms.... Beach, tirumalpur, chengalpattu, tambaram route....footover bridge...Everything is good except the roads....

New ticket counter was open. Railway Station steps was not clean people selling fruits which is unhealthy

Railway station is located away from the Pallavaram busstand.Pallavaram station is located next to chrompet towards Tambaram and net to thirusulam towards beach .Ticket counter is available at ground level.Subway is available for crossing the station.Very near to Pallavaram market.(பல்லாவரம் சந்தை .)No toilet facilities are available here.People can get down on both the sides of the platform towards Chennai beach.

This is one of the chennai local station. Small in size but well maintained. You can travel to Tambaram & Beach from here.

A railway station which is crowded forever. The station will have drinking water and food cafeteria. But it does not have escalators. It has only steps. The ticket counter is crowded always. Pallavaram station is next to tirusulam when train comes from beach and it is next to chromepet when it is moving towards beach.

A convienient station for people located in Pammal, Keelkatlai and surrounding areas.

Pallavaram railway station is located in the rail route of chengalpattu to Chennai Central railway station.. Connectivity is good. Pallavaram market is located very nearby to pallavaram station. Reaching this station via market will take some more time..As per now, Metro is not available in this area..

Before stop to tambaram SAT

Too many steps to climb and disembark. Very old fashioned, may be last modified and upgraded 3 decades back.Needs sprucing up and upgrade badly. Only solace is that the autos outside are reasonable and polite. Pallavaram is a place with historic significance, but there is no board to indicate the presence of pallava rock cut caves or the temples nearby. The railways can do well to add such boards as well.

Faces the same problem as other stations- only one or two ticket counters are open even during peak hours, frequency of trains should be increased during peak hours, safety should be increased, and the peak hour crowds should be handled better. Otherwise the connectivity in the city and the mobility the trains offer to the citizens is excellent.

Very good railway station but isnt supported by escalators and lift and we shall climb all the way. There may be crowd even in at 1:00-3:00 sometimes. Good service. Trains accelerate very quickly. High speed. Good connectivity. But seats are very limited.

Need more facilities

No escalator. Should make announcements before every train could arrive. Self ticket welding machine does not work without a concerned person being there, which is not correct. Otherwise there s no problem.

You can take a commuter train from here to the North and South of the city of Chennai. Station and trains are very basic but functional. At peak hours it is a certain degree of skill to board and alight from the train.

Id been travel from this railway station 15 years ago.Can see difference in terms of cleanliness inside railway station but still no change surrounding compound.No automatic ticket vending machine.

Well connected with Highway - city bus and small bus service heading for the neighborhood. Road over bridge on the station is not maintained properly. Traffic towards Airport on the Road over bridge is not possible due to the temporary one way system due to the construction of new Flyover on the Highway.

An important suburban rail station..providing cheap connectivity to imp locations..... But poorly connected to Pammal municipality... So commuters are forced to use overcrowded city buses..also its neglected by Railways..

Nice experience to get ticket, one person is there with ticket vending machine near the ticket counters.... That person is very fast in ticket distribution

I didnt see any public restroom but the station and scenery is more peaceful and beautiful compared to crowded stations. You can get public transports and auto when you go the left side of the station

The railway station has been the mode of transport for me whenever I want to go inside the city or two catch the trains from tambaram to south tamilnadu. Over the years the railway station have transformed better and it is decently maintained.

Train station for local travel. Electric trains stop here. Very average station. Elevated platforms are provided to cross rail tracks as well as the busy Mount Road (which is really a plus point).Parking facility for two wheeler is available (However it is very crowded as it is located in a small place). Autos are available. Town bus stop is also there..

Very calm and hassle free station..do not take autos just outside the station as they charge very much ...

Station has developed here over the months. Locations of ticket counters have been changed. There are 2 canteen stalls which you could see when you enter the platform. Sub urban(local) trains stop in this station. Fast trains and express trains do not stop. To board express you have to go to either Tambaram or Chennai Egmore, in which Tambaram is the nearest. There are also restrooms which are not on the platform but some few distance away from it below the stairs. Be sure to visit!

The worst station... It only has 2 entry and exit points. There is no Exit towards the highway. You have to cross the tracks in order to reach the highway... The station could have been in the middle of the platform so that it easy for the commuters to go from both the sides.

Good maintenance and train information will be announced properly. Have to improve the cleanliness area.

Looking busy station road with all shops running empty without customers. I was looking for a good vegetarian eatery. got one which is OK..but expected more

Worst maintenance Pls try to maintain cleanliness in Station.. ND especially in Ticket counter members are treating passengers as their maid people...We give 10Rs for 5Rs ticket means they will not give the remaining change in our they will throw the change..Overall its very very disappointing...

Okay but needs more facilities like express train stopping because pallavaram connects anakaputhur, kundrathur, punthamalli, pammal, chrompet and lot of areas. Another request is for Wi-Fi facility

Past few years I have been staying in Pallavaram,nice place where family/bachelor can live.all items are available at lowest price. famous for Friday market ,yaa mohaideen Briyani stall🌝

From this place we can take towards thambaram or beach station local train. This station is accessible for central railway station, airport, beach, t nagar etc. No car parking and not recommend for physically challenged people.

One of the major station in Beach Tambaram section but Railway Department ignores this Station cleanliness, amenities such as FOB, Waiting lounge...

U have to walk through a road to station which is always rush and not clean

Not at all having cleaninesss and maintaince of the swacha Bharat Avihan ,the central govt failed to provide basics facilities to there citizens 😔, no toilets or drinking water . No Sitting arrangements.

Its a clean station. IRCTC canteen available. RO drinking water dispenser present, as usual like other stations, no CCTV cameras. we can find regular checking of passengers by ticket checkers......so, anybody who wants to board or get down at Pallavaram railway station, ensure yourself that you are carrying a valid ticket and ID proof.

It is beautiful place and easy to cross the road and so many shortcut to go to clg for near like vels college and many market are easy to buy you may all come

One of the oldest suburban railway stations. The leading roads are congested. The station is always active with lot of people and vendors. Every 10 to 15 mins trains are available between Tambaram and Beach.

Neat nd clean but only one exist is available in this station

It is a local railway station which has no stoppings for express trains. This station has facilities to eat in local shops over there and has seating facilities. Not more than that to expect anything in a local station

Untidy and felt steps are steep. With so much traffic, ease of access like Mambalam on the West side will be helpful.

We have local train every 10 minutes in peak hours from Chengalpatu and Tambaram to Chennai Beach. Two snakes shops are present in platform. Approach to Grand Southern Trunk Road is not easy. Station is neat but area around the station is not clean.

Pallavaram railway station is a very important link to nearby habitats - zamin Pallavaram, Pammal, and all nearby places like Kundrathur, Thirumudivakkam and Thiruneermalai.

Station with 4 platforms and 2 entrance. Located 1.5km away from the main gst road. It difficult to walk and get buses after train or before train. Not well maintained but moderate neat place. For both entry need to climp steps to get into platforms. All local trains will stop here. Very rarely express and passengers.

It just got a renovated TICKET COUNTER.Its just crowded during peak hours.Safe at any time.

There is a Direct train that starts from pallavaram to chennai beach everyday around 9.00am. It will come in platform number 2.

2 Stars for Worst Management of the Approach Road and Old Foot Over Bridge on GST Roadside. The FOB is very badly designed and in Bad Shape and In Rainy Season, the Railway Station Road from GST Road is really an Hell.They have constructed a New Bridge for Climbing down from the Over Bridge to the Platform which is Good. Platforms are maintained better. Drinking Water Vending Stall is available.

Worst infrastructure. No proper facility like water security toilet and you cant access to bus stop easily.Ticketing takes a longer. They can improve better. They ready to give free WiFi and not a toilet.

Very convenient. There is a Saravana Bhavan restaurant at the entrance to the railway station.
