My stay was comfortable. Hotel management are following the covid rules and regulations at the premises. Other staff behavior polite and humble.

We visited the basement of Hotel Shelter of our sports team and we had a great dinner , fantastic service , one of the good things I like about this is that the basement area with dinner hall attached to the function hall gives it a more of private experience,The food served was too good , I requested the hotel management to provide garlic less food as some seniors were attending , everything was attended to the detail, I highly recommend Hotel Shelter

Its a small place with air conditioned television toilet is there and you get almost all types of drinks available but variety is bit of doubt if you are a beer person they have good variety. Food is decent though they provide complimentary snacks.

It was one of my favourite stay of 2021. Rooms are neat and clean. Staffs were very friendly. I stayed here for a marriage function couple of days back.

Hotel staffs are not knowing how to behave, they are stealing the thi gs from your bag and no use in complaining also. Very poor food quality and serving. Room quality is also bad. Dont stay here even if it is the last one in the city. I wish I can give negative rating.

I stayed here for a business visit, rooms are very comfort and accomadation is very safe. I will refer my friends community to experience at Hotel Shelter.

Mid range hotel. The maintenance and service is good. In this place, a decent hotel to stay and conduct meetings. Still can improve on the ambience.

The hotel is good and also has a fridge and a drinking water heater. They can lmprove the hotel by replacing the shower. Other than that the hotel is good :-)

This is the hotel which was still running in the right way for more than 15 years in the hospitality industry and it has been placed in Mylapore it is one of the main locality and it is a good valet parking 2 and even they do have a water scarcity they used to get voters with water tanker lorry I never saw that they are running out of water on shortage of water and their service.transportation wise it is placed besides the to sector of railway and as well as with the bus terminus transport show the travelling on be a hectic for you and besides that there is a Baba temple placed nearby and apart from the rules for good enough but being a three star category hotel or Deluxe hotel the service and the quality of people which needs to be get improve a lot and non hotel us were working over there the food normal and average and I dont think they will have a kind of well specialised or like a significant signature food and outlets were not that good enough apart from both are they do have a bar with some offers at the time of IPL and with some beer buy one get one and all and apart from that its normal hotel and we can visit once in awhile

Its a good and nice middle class star hotel.

Writing this review after a string of disappointments. I have been a visitor over the last 4 years. And the fall in quality is so disappointing. The location is good. The lobby of the hotel is spacious. There is a decent recreational area and fair gym (the adjacent smoking area kills it). The bed is good. They give water bottles in the room. The bedding area looks decent. That is it. Everything else was disappointing. I had many of my colleagues staying in different rooms and their experience is no different. The biggest problem is that the plumbing system is rabid in most rooms. Expect flushes that dont work (even after a call for service. .your mornings are doomed). Water pressure in taps is low in most rooms. Another big disappointment is the food. The breakfast is solace, which is decent. Most north indian dishes taste like they were made from some ready mix. Non veg dishes give the evident taste of cold storage. If you are unfortunate enough to order randomly ala carte, then God save you from certain doom. Most curries is a colourful masala gravy with capsicum. If you are lucky you may stumble upon an occasional paneer/chicken/veggie piece. Food quality is overall poor. Excpet for a handful of local channels, none of the channels work in the tv, not even the free ones. If your intent is only to come at night, go straight to sleep and check out right after you wake up, you may come here. If you are looking for a pleasant staying experience, not recommended. This is a place that could have done so much better, but for the mismanagement.

I totally disappointed about hotel Shelter service because I stayed here for one week as for business visit. The quality of service is very bad and no one cant response us for our need. Food quality also very bad even television not recharged properly. I request a service frequently for television but that one week I didnt have any solution. But they focus for money. Worst place I ever seen.Dont go there because waste of money.Management should take am action against the service providers and train your staffs to how to treat the customera royally.

It seems to be budget level hotel. I just attended a workshop here in this hotel. Food quality is moderate. Tea/coffee they delayed. Looks like they intentionally delay so that they can prepare less food. If they delay, people would return without taking snacks/food so they dont have to prepare. It is a bad experience for me at this hotel. I may not recommend this hotel if you are expecting a quality food and service. Toilet maintenance is poor.Location is very good. It is at a walkable distance from Thirumayilai MRTS station. Easily reachable by MTC bus as well.

Nice hotel in the Mylapore near by Thirumayilai MRTS station. Also near to important pilgrimage sites Saibaba temple and Kabaleeswarar temple. Accommodation is good and laundry services are also available. Food taste is average. Bar is also available. Fitness center and game room are also there. Meeting rooms are also available.

Nice hotel in the midst of narrow busy streets

This hotel is located in Mylapore, Chennai. It is located near to the mylapore kabalieswaran temple. The temple is at walkable distance from shelter hotel. The temple has a big , nice and beautiful water tank. The hotel has room to stay, conference hall and nice restaurants. The food is served in the restaurant. This is a three star hotel . Parking facility available in the hotel. Week chair is accessible in the hotel.

Good ambience, very good location. Very close to famous Temples and market.New clean room.Morning breakfast with more verity and more taste, esp Podi Dosa and chuteny . Decent roof top (super) and under ground two bars.I booked through MMT, very economic. I will recommend it to others for family and business class.

Good one in that area. Very near to T. Nagar, marina beach, biometric Offc and U. S consulate. Staff are polite. Drivers are very good. They provide free transportation to biometric and U. S consulate. Only problem we suffered was hot water. They supplied with buckets.

Customer service is okish.We need to call twice for an issue.I went for a training program for 2 weeks.The way they treat the customers is good.The location of the hotel is plus point.Food is good and hygienic.Gym is clean and well equipped.2 lifts. One was under maintenance when i stayed.Bar facilities available.Room will be equipped with mini fridge.Room maintenance is really good.I am satisfied with their service.

I stayed here for a day. Room was very decent and comfortable. Rates are on the higher side (shall be due star rating ). Considering surround places, Arulmigu Kapaleeswarar Temple & Sri Sai Baba temple are at a walking distance, hence temple surround shops are very close. There is a decent Vegetarian restaurant near to this hotel. Overall, enjoyed my stay.

Hotel is located at one of the best places. Facilities are poor. Only one elevator, tat too not in full working condition! Poor turn down service and PATHETIC FOOD!! Not anywhere near to a 3 start hotel! They have connected with good corporate teams, so not bothered at all about quality

Great Place for stay in heart of the city!

Room and amenities are fine. As regards breakfast the food items which are exhausted were not filled immediately. One interesting point I observed is we told 2 rooms in both the rooms Bible was placed in desk . When we checked at the reception they told in every room they have placed it, reason for the same was not available with the hotel staff. I will happy to hear from hotel management on the above.

An unlikely location, an unlikely hotel- In these days of hoteliering when everything boils down to location this hotel sits on an unlikely zone much like not a silly point nor a long leg. But nevertheless the rates are very pocket friendly and can be an upward trend setter for movement from third rate dungeon hotels of Mylapore. People who patronise Mylapore lodges can do well to shift to Shelter and they will be pleasently surprised.

This is a nice hotel to stay. The location is okay; easy to find on Google maps. The ambience of the room is good. Washroom could have been nicer; ergonomics is not that good. But I would surely recommend others to book a room here.

Its an excellent hotel with all the services you need. Excellent food, gym,indoor games facility. Also the location is the best part you will find everything with your range ,even the beach is close.

Rooms are shady. Very pathetic service. No ventilation. AC takes 2 hours to cool. They have Bible placed every where in room.

Calm island in a noisy environment. More used by regular visitors for short stays. Restaurant is not highly spoken about. Bar is quite noisy with little choice of snacks. Parking lot is insufficient. Staff courteous.

Ok hotel. When we went two months back there was maintenance going on on the inside of the hotel. Room cleaniness is average. Toilets are ok. Size of the room is good. Can very much improve on the cleaniness and odour in the lobby. Lighting also poor in the lobby areas of hotel. Complementary breakfast is ok. For peoples who have US embassy appointments, they provide complimentary drop off and pick up.

We arrive at the hotel without booking. The last hotel cancelled our reservation without warning us. Reception is beautiful and pretty clean but the hotel staff is not accomodating. We are student so we can t pay 50euros for 1 night. We asked them if it was possible to use their wifi to find another hotel. Obviously they said no. Any help from them. It s not worthy from a 3 stars hotel.

Though the bulinding is old, it looks very clean and calm. It is away from the rush of chennai city. The parking and the front loby are very spacious. The facilities provided are premium.

Our favorite bar Poker is located in this hotel. The beers and alcohol are reasonably priced but the free unlimited snacks accompaniments to the drinks are awesome. Love the fried idlis, peanuts and gobi manchuria. Must visit place to drink and enjoy the snacks.

Room service is really bad. Takes forever (and multiple calls to the reception) to get things fixed. Stayed there for 15 days and had to call and remind them to drop off the newspaper now and then. Got locked out of the room once. Hot water issues. The list goes on and on. Proceed at your own risk. The place is not what I was a couple of years back.

Its not ideal for a family. Family travellers stay away!! Ill treating women and unruly & arrogant behaviour by staff. Would like to see this place shut down at the earliest for the sake of safety of travellers.

Good hotel to stay. Nice room service. But if you are staying for a long time, say 15 days, sometimes the room service might disappoint you during the last days.

We had our bday party in shelter, its sufficient for 150 pax max.. Food is awesome and you ll be surprised for that competitive price mark. They have one more small party hall, both are situated in basements, rather there would be no complaints about ambient temperature.

I went to its bar. It is like typical chennai bar where you will find only male drinkers more interested in watching a projected screen tv and enjoying his own beer. anyway the prices are good, complimentary dishes are good..So i like it

Conference halls should be furnished to the standard of the hotel. Food is good and restaurant is clean. Again toilets have to be maintained up to the standard of the hotel.

Very Nice Hospitality

Nice hotel. But needs improvement on various aspects. I was not pleased with the way the banquet halls are maintained. Front office staffs are helpful. But right while stepping inside, one could find it annoying to be suffocated with the smell of cigars.

Pros: Place was neat and staff was helpful. Complimentary pick up and drop was hassle free.Cons: Found cockroaches in bathroom. No hot water. Food was not good.

I went there for a 2 day workshop. The whole place was unhygienic. The chairs, tables, linen restrooms etc. The food tasted decent but given the ambiance we wouldnt like to eat there. They could improve a lot on hygiene part.

Hotel is conveniently located. It is a 3 star business hotel. Rooms are big and spacious. Stayed in a sine room which was large enough to accommodate 2 people. It also had carpeted floor. Mystay included gee breakfast an wi-fi. The hotel also has a gym for working out. Staff was courteous and willing to help with guest requests. Local market is nearby. Sai baba temple located just a few meters before this hotel is a good place to be visited.

Worst hotel ever quality control has first ban this hotel !! Not maintained foul smell in room and tons of mosis in the room bedsheet has dust all over. We had taken 2 rooms both we in same condition. If u ever come visit chennai dont ever come to this hotel.

Decent place and value for money

Rooms are quite spacious but they are not well maintained. Bath fittings are not maintained. I stayed 2 rooms and both room were having faulty bathroom doors. Locks were not working. Rooms were having mosquitoes. Kitchen gas use to come into the room.

I found everything up to the mark in this hotel. They provided a good service and hospitality. Location also is very nice and comfortable to reach. Hotel staff was warm well coming . Stay with this hotel was really good. Good hotel to have both couple and business stay.

It was a good stay but there was no hot water in the room. They said will check and update but did not pay attention.

So this is one of the most obnoxious hotel experiences me and my friends had. Where on earth do you have hotel people coming and checking into the hotel rooms every now and then to make sure a girl and a boy are not under the same roof and are in two different rooms. Where on earth do you find a hotel where they avoid colleagues meeting in any room of their choiuce. What is the business of the hotel to indul;ge into professional and personal matters of the visitors. This is one of the worst experiences i had.The staff were nosy and were frequently calling up my rooms and my colleagues rooms to check if both are available seperately at their own rooms****   Just be hotel staff and lets not start doing moral policing.

Rooms were clean . Road facing rooms can be noisy as the sound sealing for the windows is not great. Bathroom fittings not in good shape. Health faucet did not work. No hot water before 5 am. We had to ask for the coffee maker in the room. Location is good and service quite ok

Half of what is assured is not in the room. You have to call housekeeping to bring the coffee maker, toilet paper and much more. The wait after call is even more terrible.I feel the price is exorbitant for what they offer.

They have good rooms and decent buffet breakfast.. They also provide drop and pick up services to consulates which is very helpful as people from outside TN would face some challenges while commuting back and forth.
