OK nothing so special about this place.Staffs are OK, not sooo very good at the same time not bad as well.Good is also normal.. Nothing special to describe.Ambience is good, dark uplift comfortable and nice private place.

A good budget friendly hotel in Chennai. Very near to egmore station (walkable). If you wish to have vegetarian food, saravana bhavan is available at a 100 mts distance. Room service is good and the rooms are neat and clean. Free wifi but the room was slightly smaller than expected. Overall a pleasant stay here at hotel Pandian.

It is good for business travellers: clean rooms and very close to Egmore railway station. For veg food, there is Saravana bhawan veg restro in 2 minutes walk. Room service we have not tried. Hotel has one restro which serves non-veg food. Hot water 24 x day. Value for money.

One of the best hotel experience Ive ever had.

Location, basic amenities is a big plus. However for the paid amount, the room can be maintained a bit neat. The provided items shall be washed and dried properly. First day had a terrible sleep due to the mosquito attacks, however the housekeeping person helped me the next day providing repellent machine and spraying HIT. May be an old hotel but still it can be maintained neatly.

This is an very old place which is not upgrade or maintained to the current trend and standard. All the items starts from switches to bathroom fittings are very old. I have attached some photos from my recent stay where you can clearly see the havent cleaned the room.They have to do a interior design for sure.They charge you just like other hotels which have better amenities comparing to this hotel.Only best thing is Egmore railway station is walkable.

The Hotel Seem to Aged and its centrally located very close to Egmore Railway Station, the most happening place. It seems to have a reception, restaurant, bar and permit room, 1 elevator, staircase. In fact the pricing on GoIbibo is very competitive. The coffee shop outside the hotel by name Erode Kumar Coffee is good and supplying quality and timely coffee. The closest popular restaurant is Hotel Saravana Bhavan which is with in 100 steps reachable. The Hotel has good cleaning staff who work early in the morning to clean the premises. The floor managers are very care taking in nature. Even the smallest complaint is very quickly attended.Daily Newspaper is pushed inside the room from the doors bottom in traditional style, toiletry kit is good with one ear bud. Though rooms are small, they are well equipped and maintained. Seem to be very safe as we have seen several couples, business travellers, single female business travelers staying at the hotel.

We stayed at this hotel on 3 different occasions in the past 5 weeks. My overall experience was good. The hotel is conveniently located and safe to stay with family and kids. There are lots of restaurants around and both public and private transport are available nearby. The rooms and bathrooms were clean as well. The rates are competitive too. The only drawback is the service people in the hotel. They voluntarily come to help with the luggage even when we don’t really need and they expect to be tipped all the time. It appears as if they are not paid enough by the management and they want to earn through tips. For every room service they do (especially the guys in brown uniform) they stand after and don’t leave until they are paid some tips. Tips is paid out of satisfaction by the guests but these guys kind of make it annoying, which should change. Besides this, overall it was a good place to stay.

Its a very good Hotel to stay. It also has easily accessible location. Market is just around 100m away as it also located very near to one of the railway station in chennai. Really good hospitality of the Hotel authorities. It also invites foreign guest. Rooms and other facilities laundry, breakfast, cleanliness etc. all are quite satisfactory and good.

A Family hotel with good location near Egmore Railway station. Also 10 min ride to Apollo Hospital, Greams Road. Good staff and helpful managers, but one manager at night was very casual in providing an extra mattress in a triple occupancy room. Else the stay was good. The hotel has multiple eateries nearby as well as a good and able chef in the hotel also. Recommended for anyone.

Have stayed here for 2 days and its a good room neat and clean but customer service is very poor and their response is too late...One more thing is lightings are very dull in the room and no white light you found in the room only yellow lights are used..And last thing is mosquitoes are major problem in the night time..

Its Good to Stay at Hotel Pandiyan. I really feel very much Homely at Pandiyan . I am staying at hotel pandiyan Since 2007- 2008. During those days frankly Speaking I do remember that 1 or 2 issues arise with room service and misunderstanding with the reception staff for complimentary breakfast but then the Manager solved the issue. He is very much cooperative. My next trip for Chennai will be on mid of September .I have already informed to Hotel pandiyan for my upcoming trip. Very Nice.and Safe to Stay with your family too.

Hotel pandian is a great affordable place to stay in Chennai. It is located in Egmore at a walkable distance from the metro station making it easy to get around Chennai. Its a 2-star hotel but the facilities are great. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Rooms are clean and well-equiped; electric kettle, tea bags, instant coffee, sterilised glasses, clean cups etc. They also deliver newspapers to your room every morning. All in all: most value for your money!

I stayed here for one day in Non AC double room. The experience was so good. Even though the hotel is old, the room and bathroom were well maintained and was so clean. If you are looking for a neat and good hotel near to Central railway station, you can consider this hotel. You can get Uber auto for 30-40 rupees to travel from Central to Hotel. If you have time, you can catch suburban train from park station and get down at Egmore and walk(200-300mts) to the hotel.

Hotel was very good. We people from northern parts of india liked the food served from inhouse restaurant. Only issue was the room provided to us could have been bigger. We stayed there there for 8 days and as 3 persons room size was not enough.

Hotel services were fine. Staffs are well mannered. Daily room cleaning was done .I feel very much homely when I stay at hotel Pandiyan . Frankly Speaking it is too safe to stay with family.

Poor maintenance . Bar inside the hotel cheats the public. One beer costs 355 rupees whereas another bar two building apart charges 270 rupees with more side dishes. Rotten dishes given as side dishes in Pandian Bar. Request all not to go to this hotel. Tea also very costly as if 5 star but fact is that cannot beb rsted even 1 star

Very Very Good Hotel. It is two star hotel but the services provided are of three star as i stayed for 14 Nights/15 Days in this hotel in January 2019. Food is Awesome. Staff very cooperative and helpful especially the General Manager. Room service excellent. All is good.whenever it visit Egmore, Chennai will stay at this hotel only.

Hotel Pandian is a nice stay in a pocket friendly budget. Its just a stones throw away from Chennai Egmore Station. The hotel staff behavior is very courteous. The free breakfast is also well. The hotel has their restaurant which remains open till 11pm. In case you want to eat outside there are lots of vegetarian and Keralan restaurants near the area. The area Kenneth Lane is not very noisy. The hotel can be a good stay for family as well.

Great place. The rooms vere value for money, really clean and well appointed. The restaurant is a little overpriced, but there are dozens of alternative options all around. I was in a single room - that was kinda small, but appropriate for a single person. The room did have mosquitoes despite all the windows having nets on them. A mosquito repellent was given, but guess mosquitoes have gotten used to them. Overall great stay, and Id surely look forward to using this place again.

Very old hotel with party hall facility. Here the staffs are seeing permanent. It is better to upgrade the hotel with latest amenities. During our programme both mic and speaker was not working properly and making a disturbance to our entire programme. Hope the team will look into it. They have a bar too with light music at ground floor.

Not a very good place to stay. You can find better options in the price range they are offering their rooms. Beds are compact and mattress are also very soft than required. Near by area is also not very good and you might face issues with food if u are a North Indian. No good restaurants options available near by.

I stayed in deluxe double room. It was quite small and no ventilation was there. Cant say about other types of rooms. Food was good. Food costing was as per a general ac restaurants normally charge.

Really very good hotel and good place

Service is pathetic. They wont even send proper complementary water bottles each day and even after asking them several times , they pay no need. Room service is equally bad. Basic services like a proper wifi is also not provided to customers. Only of you have some urgent business to attend near egmore you can cosider this, rest lookout for a better option.

Very good and nearby railway station

Stayed there for a day. Untidy bathrooms and linen. Bathroom had a big lock of hair and a used earbud on floor. The linen was very dirty. The response to complaint was sub optimal. They did not clean the bathroom even then properly and refused to allot another room. All this though they took a handful as rent. And as a souvenir, I also got a nice itchy rash. The worst hotel experience yet. For the positive side, it is in the same lane as the Saravana Bhavan hotel, where you can have some good vegetarian food.

Frist of all, after considering naunces in hotel operations and costs involved to run them, i must congratulate its management and staff.Its one of the big budget hotel but hotel and its compound kept clean all the times.i requested clean room while check in and counter guy alloted me room no. 304 which is road side room. Everything in room is ok except two problems sounds from the road traffic which is terrible and continuos mosquito bites in the night. The windows are meshed but still mosquitos are there. Requested for change of the room but only after 2 nights they alloted me garden side room. There no problem of traffic or mosquito.Detailed review of the hotel:The Good1. Rooms are clean but small.2. Two tables including chair and writing desk are provided.3. Windows are meshed.4. Kettle is provided with 2 coffee and 2 tea bags along with sugar sachets.5. Value for money, well-placed and clean hotel.Good for stay in business trips or with family. The rooms are small but include everything that’s necessary for a modest stay. Must say, that the bathrooms are very neat.We were here for a family wedding and stayed for 3-4 days in a double non-AC Room during Feb. Luckily, we enjoyed the perfect weather in Chennai and a good stay, courtesy Hotel Pandian.The approach road is a crowded market street but the location is good considering the proximity to restaurant and food joints and the Egmore railway station. The ginger tea available at the small tea shop in the premises of this hotel is worth mentioning.
