Food tastes very good and the masala is very authentic. Precisely mutton soup, kari dosa and Kaadai fry are excellent. Need to visit one more time to try another set of dishes as well.

Atmosphere and Setup was Excellent! Food service and Taste was good! Ambience was Awesome.. Chicken Briyani was below average, Chicken lollipop was Great! But Food quantity was less compared to other restaurants... Pricing segment was High! My suggestion is to revise the Prices for the Menus.Can have a great time with family and friends!

Good hospitality, quicker delivery without any waiting time, tasty but a bit more pricy...I feel it is worth for money. Ambience is really nice and is good for group or team lunches... We just walked-in but reservation is recommended...overall, i would recommend this restaurant...

The place is good looking and the foods are tasty but the price is little high.

The name of this place intrigued us to visit. We sat at a small customized eating room, where we have to sit down and have food. It gave us the feel of authentic South Indian feast. Ghee Rice with Chicken Combo was good. A good family restaurant in Velachery for non vegetarians.

One fine day on “Ganesh Chardurthi” we were crossing by Tharamani and searching for veg & non veg hotel (combined) by 11’o clock at night.This Salt & Pepper was flashing with lights and attracted us.We went in and ordered pure veg foods. This hotel seems to be excellent in non veg category but thought veg food was decent.Cooked well like homemade (no hard masalas) and served nicely.The waiters were so attentive and cost of the food was moderate.There is a separate hut for people with bed who wish to sit on the floor in a traditional way.I hope for a group of 6 to 7 family members it will be a private dinning with Chits and Chats.Overall i would give 4 star for everything.

We went to uppu milaku family restaurant this sunday. Food was great spicy and treditonal. specialy I liked the mutton chukka it was really nice. since it was Sunday they were struggling to serve everyone at once that was understandable but I think they have to hire more ppl to overcome that. I give five star rating specialy for the banana leaf. when other hotels are serving in plates they serve in banana leaf which is great hope they continue that. ill strongly recommend this to who love south Indian foods.

Decent place with authentic south Indian cuisine... Naatu kozhi rasam was exactly like homemade soup.. All dishes were awesome, biriyani was basmati rice with flavour.

Wow... I had a best experience in this hotel. Best for non-vegetarian. Good in quality and service was fine. I loved the appearance. I used to have dinner with my friends every weekend. The hut setting is good. If you go there, dont forget to try idiyappa kothu.

The food is priced economic. If you want the food to be taken outside, they pack it in a nice and hygienic way. I had mutton biryani, the taste is different and unique, which I never tasted else was before. The service is quick once we got the booked place. The next item I had was mutton chukka this was also very tasty. Go for one by two, as there are more pieces and that two can share and it was a bit costlier too.

Worst, this cost 230 rupees, full of mutton bones...their menu says spl mutton biryani...there is no special.

Its a family restaurant with traditional sit and eat facilities and they provide only country chicken and gun chicken is signature dish was good

The place had an interesting feature. Where they have seating on the ground if you want an authentic inclination while having hotel food. We didnt order a huge range of food but whatever we ordered was pretty below average for most part. Maybe the south Indian dishes would make me have a different opinion of this place. The staff was pretty courteous. Overall an average experience.

I ordered Prawn 65 and vanilla ice-cream.Its so tasty and delicious. The hotel looks like different and serving the food is good. Totally, its a best and wonderful service. They maintain the restaurant very neat and clean. Only, thing is there are so much crowd for waiting their order. Lot of food items are available in this hotel. The staffs are really nice. They speak very politely and so kindly. I liked it very much. Both, veg and non-veg are available. The price rate is also medium not so high or low. Comparable to other hotel my rate is 5 out of 5. Its one of the best hotel in Chennai. They, provide offer for all the food items. Combo pack is available in this hotel. Within 5 minutes they delivered your order. So, need not to worry about your order. Go enjoy with your family and friends.

Uppu Milagu is one of those old legacy restaurants of Chennai it serves authentic at the best but mutton the best-est. Chicken fry also another important thing to order there. It`s a south Indian restaurant & probably a decent in Chettinadu style cooking. With good presentation to eat in a pleasant way. The ambiance is good...

I went to the restaurant around 1330hrs, Ordered Gobi Manchurian, tastes is ok. Deserts listed in the menu not available in the restaurant. So who wants to taste desert after having main course may skip this restaurant else you may visit for ain course, staff are cooperative and polite. Accepting card payments too.

Worst. We went to the restaurant which is located in tharamani. We had a worst experience . We reached there around 12.30 for lunch and we ordered food , All the foods we ordered was of bad quality. At the end when we had a discussion with the hotel person regarding the food quality... The reply was shocking. The chef has not come..The server and hotel person have themselves managed to cook and gave us the bad food... Worst experience.

Great taste and very reasonable rates. They serve quarter biryani which is sufficient for someone who is not very hungry. They also serve combo meals which are very filling and pocket-friendly.

Amazing chettinad food

Ive been eating here occasionally for over an year. While initially the food and service was good the quality has fallen down tremendously. Servers dont understand the orders. Bring wrong orders. The meat served is frozen and rubbery. Briyani tastes like tomato rice. The gravy is watery. I once ordered pepper mushroom fry. And they brought chilli mushroom. And when I returned it they just tossed the same dish in pepper and gave it to me. Totally not worth going.

At 1.30 in the noon the only dish they offered in the hotel was two varieties of Briyani. The hospitality was bad, service was on the negative. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

We were disappointed by the taste of many dishes. Only Biriyani and parotta tasted good. Management needs to look at the oil used, most of the dishes in which the oil used were not at all good. We told the manager to change the dish. Ambiance is good. Service is very slow. Gravies served were not at all good. Dry items were ok.

Uppu Milagu is close to my heart . Anyone who visit this place would get the feeling of home. At home you can sit anywhere and have HEALTHY AND DELICIOUS food.... Since it is our home, you would always be treated like a king... Thatz why I call Uppu Milagu as my home...

Worst service. We ordered noodles and waited for an hour to know chef who makes noodles is on leave. We paid for the soup and it’s our responsibility to get the balance. There were customers only on 4 tables and the reason they give for the bad service is too many customers.

Have lots of varieties but some of the dishes were salty... Probably that was one of the bad day from the chef... When my friends visited the restaurant on a different day they claimed most of the dishes were tasty... So giving 3 star until I try them next time...

Being an IT Professional, i missed my home food alot. In chennai, we have many fancy restaurants where they focus more on ambience than food. Quality is also not so great in many places. I was kind of fed up. One of my friend suggested Uppu Milagu, now im their regular customer because of their delicious food. Keep the good work team.

Local food at a decent price. They also have a squat and sit eating place. Bustling with Chennaiites and ones from other states who want to try local food, finding a seat is a tough job. Shortage of manpower resulted in poor service.

We ordered Naatukozhi Fry, 8 coin borota and Veg kurma. They say it as Naatukozhi but the flesh was not even slightly reddish, it was white as similar to Broiler chicken, quantity was very very less but the cost was high for that quantity. Veg kurma served was not hot, so we requested the next one with little bit heat, again they failed to serve us with hot. Overall service could be better, average taste, can be improved overall.
