Food is absolutely great. These are the restaurants where you dont care about ambience and are only there for the food. Price is also quite cheap.

Close to authentic Iyer taste :)Kaapi (coffee) is served only in the morning. Saapaadu (rice meal) starts from 10.30 AM and served upto 3 PM. Sunday dinners are crowded usually.

One of the super authentic and old style mess in the heart of West Mambalam. The parking is a super huge problem - car is a big no no. Breakfast and lunch is amazing! Evening food is a must try. The best part is the sambhar. You also get sambhar ,rasam,kootu,pooriyal all separately- and this comes as a boon to bachelors and senior people. It always has floating crowd and they also sell best floured coffee powder which is a must try. Must check into this place for a brand new experience.They are also on SWIGGY,one can order them too.

Looking at the ratings I ordered masala dosa,ghee podi dosa,rice Pongal and vada. All the items were of very poor taste and lacked any flavour in them. No trace of ghee in podi dosa, they just added some low grade oil to make it appear as if they have poured ghee into it.Standard of sambar and chutney is better not to discuss.All the 4 items disappointed me in taste, quality,health wise.Remember always that just quantity without quality will not take you anywhere.

Always crowded after 8 am especially on Sundays. Crispy vada is must have. Uppma and curd rice available in night.

Full meals cost arnd ₹80.. Around 10-15 people could eat at a time. It is south Indian and menu includes two sidr dish, pappad, sambar, kuzhambu, rasam, more and pickle.. Cleanliness could be better. Unnecessary decibels created by servers shall be reduced or avoided, by showing more friendly demeanor. The place is little cramped inside and also for parking. Go there for quick meal. No cars, please..

Good South Indian food available. The only constraint is the space between the occupants during the Lunch. Rest all fine.

Its a typical brahmin mess! Pure vegetarian available there! We went group of people on ammavasam day.. they provided authentic food and with no onion! Food is very cheap.. for 80 rs unlimited food, sambar, more kuzhambu, rasam, butter milk, appalam, pickle.. parcel is 110rs. To get payasam u have to be there by 11am.

I just took a parcel delivery for today for 10 people.. honest feedback. Average food!! If this is the taste I feel its not worth the reviews and videos created for this place... Worst hotel service ever experienced. There is a old waiter who concentrates more on giving you personal advices than serving food. whole family left the hotel in between without completing the food just because of his nuisance. No cleanliness or maintaining of hygiene environment. Disastrous experience

On August 28th,O 2020 ordered dosai and Pongal via swiggy, verdict: really pathetic!!! Seems like that Pongal was made in morning and they re-heated and send it, Total garbage!!, Dosai was below average, I wish I could give 0 star to this mess but Google has made it mandatory to give minimum 1 star. I would urge customers to look at better mess/ hotels at all costs. You would rather have a small loaf of bread in some bakery which might be way better in terms of quality rather than spend a dime in this mess. I would urge customers not to go for this mess in any foody apps like swiggy , Zomato, etc. This mess is not worth at all.

The lunch/veg meal they serve is very good. I regularly have my lunch here. Theres an old waiter who serves the items very well.

Good place to order south Indian dishes. Dosas are quite economical when compared to the price at other south indian veg resturants. Preferred the ghee podi dosa over normal ghee roast. Sambar is also proper onion flavoured Thanjavur style. It opens early and can be ordered from 6 AM. Though the place might not look hygenicz the aftermath was quite normal once I ate here which shows it is a decent restaurant

The guy who cleans the table will serve you sometimes without even a hand wash.Then the taste varies day to day. So u can try one time , but the risk depends on you.
