This is a non vegetarian chettinad hotel. It has branches all over Chennai.Its is a special place to be. It was set up long ago.Its got a good reputation. The food served is spicy and very delicious.It is a nice restaurant to go to for any occasion.The service is very prompt and tats one of the reasons why i like to come here regularly.Enjoy good food here at affordable price....The hotel needs bit improvement in cleanliness and taste was okay not suitable for friends party due to poor cleanliness..they need to change this to any other location inside that Rahhat plaza looks awkward does not give feel to eat a food peacefully ✌️

Starters seems to be ok but the main dish chicken and mutton are not good. Very spicy and salty too.

Good ambient restaurant. Non- veg chittinaud type. Biriyani, Tandoori, Grills, Full-meals, ice cream, Faluda etc are available. Has separate take away counter. Wash room is clean. Staff behaviour is good. High-rise chairs for children provided.

Good place for family dining & menus are different to eat.

The food is good.. And they seemed to be a little costly.. They have a good menu card but they didnt mention that they put quarter plate price in it. And since we ordered full plate without even letting us know they put soo much of price by them self.. Other than that ambience is good. 8 out of 10 could be given.. Banana leafs are served for food... Food quantity is less tough..

It was a great feeling once going to ponnusamy hotel. First time I visited this place 20 years before. I remember the good old days. Nowadays these people also become like fast food restaurants and lost the quality and taste. Almost all outlets are like this and not to blame only this outlet

We went there without any expectations for a quick lunch, but it turned out to be an excellent stomach fulfilling experience. The Ponnusamy chicken is excellent which is rich in cashew and mutton sukka was just mouth watering.A must try if you visiting anywhere near Vadapalani. The ambience is modern and the staffs were good.All in all a good restaurant..

Nice place and good food. Had a good time eating here. Since it is a Diwali day there was no rush and the restaurant was free. Also the restrooms are clean and neat. Affordable food at the area.

We are dining here from 2011. Ponnusamy Hotel(Vadapalani). Everytime we dine here, we were never disappointed. Hygienic, tasty, good service. Worth for money.

Asked for boneless chicken, and these people gave pichipoata chicken that too with bones and very minimal flesh and filled with masala... it is not like before. when I asked them to change it, he rudely told only chicken 65 boneless will be given...The brand value has no credit and the staff has no dignity..

Take a meal or briyani after a shopping or show in forum mall.so good as compared to the shops located in food court.Location it has been is so strange.but the ambience they maintaining is good actually.price is also reasonable for the quality and the ambience they providing. We traveled from VR mall to this restaurant (ponnusamy hotel, vadapalani, it was locked opposite to forum Mall) as expecting some authentic taste of karaikudi chettinad we visited for dinner.Being foodies, we thought the food would be great, coz the restaurant is so old and named one so, we ordered1. Chicken biryani (more spicy, average),2. Egg biryani3. Garlic naan (was good).4. Barbeque (more masala, chicken is not tender),5. Chicken and egg kothu paratha (usual one, as like normal hotel).6. Chicken noodles (taste wise it was good but quantity is very less),7. Itli (I didnt taste but my family said that it was very hard),8. Chicken 659. Spicy foods. But very difficult to find the place. Hotel visibility is very poor. We found the hotel name board in a multiple name boards section. But food is very tasty. And serving people is taking long time to respond.

The ambience is good...but the food taste was not as expected..the meals can be given 3 out of 5 and for chicken biriyani it is just 2 on a scale of 5. The staff and all well behaved..but i dont think it is a good choice..they say this is standard becoz it has been there from years ...but rating 3 would probably justified.

Ponnusamy is the best non veg hotel in vadapalani and most of the IT company staffs around vadapalani use to come here regularly. My favorite lunch is non veg meals and 65.

While eating i found a bad smell of one piece of chiken suddenly i stopped eating and checked which was expired and bad smell is coming .. We fight with the manager he was simply replaying that the chicken was injured so its bad smell is there .. So kindly stop going to ponnusamy mainly vadapalani branch ..

This is like my next kitchen since this outlet is just next to my home. So at least a pocket of rasam will be brought as take away once in 3 days.It is just opposite to vadapalani bus depot in the first floor of Rahat plaza. The ambiance is so good and well maintained.The service is also prompt.My favorite is their Rasam which works very well with rice. I say their top dish is their Rasam. Another speciality is in the night 🌃 we can get non veg meals. So anybody would like to have full meal for the dinner it is the right choice.They are so good in their chettinad dishes. Only problem I faced is the fish finger I ll not get the same consistent taste.My last order with them was 1 non veg meals, chicken biryani, mutton biriyani, crab 🦀 lollipop, fish finger, ponnusamy spl chicken dry, nethili fry, egg Brain fry.It was all superb and enjoyed the lunch.Overall its good choice for Non veg lovers.
