Good food especially Kerala rice meals. Cheap and best. Not satisfied with fish fry
I ordered chicken biriyani online ...got pathetic quality of biriyani ..dont know if it because of app based booking...The egg used the biriyani was not boiled and the biriyani rice was not cooked well...
Malabar chicken briyani Eww eww
The worst Kerala food I ever tasted, I ordered a fish curry and karemeen polichudu both the dish had superlative salt in it and both tasted horrible and the service was so excellent that owner didn’t mind our complaints and informed that fish curry will be salty in Kerala and we need to bare with it and at the end you get the bill and no wonder it will be exorbitantly high, won’t recommend any body to visit, even if you wish so pl do at your own risk, thanks for gaining a unsatisfactory customer for life kumarikom 👍🏼
Very rude staffs ..worst management..served spoiled fish..when I asked they replied rudecand not even ready to replace..
Ok for normal food. Good for kerala food likers
This is supposed to be a Kerala restaurant & the dishes too. But Biriyani they serve is not an authentic one, Meals is ok but not good. Beef dishes are good. The ambience is good.Meals are the only thing affordable, the negative I felt about meals is the bucket sambar they offer is too much for one person. Its a wastage.
A real cosy home where the gastronomic delights in Kerala style are created and suited to your home palats
I was disappointed with the mackeral fish curry. The gravy was good but the fish was stale. I talked to the boy who took the order about it as the manager was on leaveAlso complained to the guy at the front desk. He just shook his head. Not a pleasant experience.
I had ordered for karimeen polichathu, there was no flesh and it looks like they have fried the dry fish instead of fresh fish and it was breaking like papad for which they charged Rs. 415When i asked for reason, there was no reply and didnt bother to give proper response.
The best place for a mallu (or those who like mallu food) to have lunch.
Food tastes pathetic.. not used to be the one which was in the previous premises. Not worth the money. Also the ambience isnt cozy as the previous one.
Too costly and not worthy . Please dont prefer this hotel it doesnt have the real taste of Kerala. There is no difference between kadala curry and egg curry except the addition of eggs
Delicious food with reasonable price. Nice and calm environment with homely feel
The unsatisfactory malabar biriyani both chicken and mutton . Mutton piece in the biriyani was like rubber .Packing was really horrible . Aluminum box was substandard quality.
Ordered chicken pulao in swiggy from this restaurant , worst experience no side gravy or raita. It is not chicken pulao it is just rice and meat mixed without any flavours.can be renamed as chicken fried rice even that will be disgrace to fried rice.
Too much expensive not worthy for money and no customer care they treat customer very worstly full of money mind
The worst kerala biryani I ever tasted in life, the masala and rice quality is pathetic where they charge a exorbitant cost. Guys if your looking for authentic kerala food go for other places in city and not for this fancy restaurant. Chicken was not well cooked and they had put the masala of egg roast which is easily understood while eating.
Perfect restaurant for kerala cusine
New place. Calm and quiet. Nice homely environment. Food was excellent. Had parotta, chicken curry, kerala fish curry, chicken pepper. Taste was awesome. Rate was very reasonable. Hospitality was good..
We recently ordered Kizhi Chicken Parotta which was extra ordinary. This dish has stuffings of chicken gravy between 2 Malabar parottas and tastes super yummy. We had ordered through Swiggy and this dish comes packed in banana leaf which give additional enhancements to our taste buds.A must try for parotta lovers. The Malabar parotta is so soft and tender pieces of chicken stuffings are a perfect combination. Prices are very reasonable.I would say this is the place to get Kerala parotta in the city. Their idiyappam and appam are also good. Their Kerala chicken curry goes well with all the above.Their payasam tastes good too.
Best beef fry in the city.. Loved it
Its too good with ambienceAnd the food was in the real taste of KeralaAnd if going there you all should try fishes
The food was good. Tried the veg limited meals with mushroom chilli. The quantity could be little better. The price is on par with Anna nagar stsndards. Lol.
Good food...kerala varieties are good. I bought Puttu, kappa and Ayala Curry...Puttu was very dry and not at all good. Other two was ok...cant say its a great place..but medium level.
Ordered via Swiggy - Food is just average, just that it is so much hyped. The Nungambakkam branch is much better than the Porur branch.
Food is awesome. Especially sea food. Kadalai curry with parotta. Bit costly but worth it.
On Monday evening we had ordered take away one kerala chicken gravy and one Beef ularthiyathu (fry) by phone and picked it up in person from a Anna Nagar Kumarakom restaurant.I must say this.... I have never eaten a worst gravy than this and the Beef was worst than the Chicken gravy. Beef was as hard as a Rock and no taste at all. No eruvu and without any Ruchi .It was a waste...and our hard-earned money was really gone without satisfying us.....I dont understand how the people can serve such a preparation and charging us so much. It was a waste full expenditure.I will never ever step into your restaurant again
We had ordered beef fry, kerala paratha, beef biryani, chicken lollipop they were delicious and nice. We had also ordered one fish fry covered in leaf which was not fried well and the masala was there just like that. Overall we enjoyed the tasty meal except the fish.
Dont understand why they keep on changing the location. This is the third location i have been in 4 years. This place is famous for Kerala cuisine and serves beef. The ambience is nothing to speak off. The food is tasty but I feel they lack consistently. In some of my visits the food quality was bad. But of late it is improved vastly. I also had Karimeen Pollichathu, which was overpriced at Rs 400 and undercooked.
Worst food I have had in my life specially sambar is like ro water and no vegetables and no taste and they gave karimeen polichadhu it is not karimeenu it is karingupona meenu and at last they gave paripu payasam in that only paripu is there no nuts and no taste and also one thing I want to say that when you are going to eat in kumarakom you order in one day before because when we ordered they took one hour to bring one meal so service is too late so dont approach this hotel for your safe who are going to that hotel is taking your own risk so take care of your health. thank you by public person
Ordered Beef roast and not at all satisfied with Quantity ;Found few pieces of beef and more gravy. Over paid :(
Very Calm and Silent VenueExclusive Kerala CuisineThe Real Taste of Kerala
Pls dont waste your money. Very costly where everything seems to be worse. Before it was better not now.
Worst service ever. No waiters and everything was more like self service.Food was served late and it took like almost 1 hour to get the food. Came here mainly for karimeen and it was also bad. When asked at the reception they told to order online cause there are no waiters. If so why is the restaurant open for dine in, it should be closed and give only takeaway. Worst service ever.
I had eaten in multiple kumarakom outlets earlier and dint have any concerns, but this one i guess is shifted to a new place in shanthi colony. First of all, i had to wait for 30 mins to get seated and 30 minutes for the food to arrive after getting seated. The ambience is silly, modifying a home to a restaurant with multiple chairs and having the toilet right next to your seats?? You have to walk in to a toilet to find the wash basins. The supervisor or waiters dont care to deliver food at right time, or apologize for delay. People have to ask multiple times, a few did say that they were diabetic and wanted something on the table after hours of waiting. And leave alone the wait time, the food was not up to the mark. Mine was a gobi manchurian cooked in mutiple time reused oil with the smell of old oil in it. Was it worth the wait of 1 hour. GOD NO...
Worst food. Service is very bad. Karimeen pollichathu not good.
Authentic Kerala Food!! Finger Licking!!
Tasty food with good ambience
Excellent meal and curry..
No proper seating facility. Pls carry your own chair so that you need not to stand waiting.
They have recently moved to this place...its a house converted into restaurant. Looks congested compared to earlier one. One has to walk into the toilet for hand wash.Food is ordinary. Parking is a big problem
Their Saturday and Sunday Kerala lunch is delicious so is the butter milk and karimeen pollichathu
The food was so good
They didnt place right map direction in google map and ambience also not good its a home so many mosquitoes
Excellent food, quick and efficient service. The food provided, though not high class, is delicious. The time difference between the placement of order and delivery of food is minimal. Ideal for the gathering of friends and or families. The downside is the lack of sufficient seating for the huge amount of people that come there especially on weekends and an expansion is munch in need.Overall my trip there is a quiet pleasant and enjoyable one despite the rather long waiting time to be seated
If You are craving for Kerala cuisine, this is your place. Chicken pulao tastes amazing!!
Not at all satisfied with briyani
Very very bad experience
Went with family for dinner. Place is neat and services were prompt. Taste of food is average. Mutton curry was ordered and quantity was ok but not cooked fully. Prices are reasonable.
Its good place to have nice Kerala food, comparatively in lower price .
Previously it was unlimited meals, now only limited meals available...
Food teste is very good
Very poorly cooked food served.. earlier the class was so good.. I used to visit th place occasionally.. now I have decided not to visit the place again..
Good food
Best place 4 kerala food
Waste of money and time
Guys here are great. Pleasing attitude. Reasonable price with awesome taste. Sometimes parking is a little difficult. Most of the dishes taste good. Enjoyed.
In this restaurant the dishes are so delicious and the price also so cheap
PLZ DO NOT BUY THEIR FOOD. THEY CHEAT IN PRICE AND QUANTITY!!!!
Boring food. No taste. Only good thing to me was the clean washroom.
Super meals! Tasty Sambar, Avial, Red chutney and butter milk of their own style . Important thing is unlimited meals @ just 85 rupeesAmbience too was good. Parking though limited ca park in the street sides easily without much difficulty with the help of security there.Good food experiences
Decent food. I would say average. With very basic interiors. Pricing is decent too. Sea food is a bit expensive. Its a good place for office goers.
Small place but good ambience. Its one of the best place for Kerala style veg and non-veg food in Chennai.
Authentic kerala food. Great kerala beef and karimeen and appam. Must try
Nice place to have Kerala parottas. The appams, egg-appams and idiyappams are authentic in taste. The Kerala chicken curry is good. Pepper chicken gravy is a bit spicy. Their authentic Kerala dessert, ada pradhaman, is of excellent taste and is a must-try here.
Nice place. Moderately priced good Kerala food.
Nice food, especially adapradaman
Good ambience. Spacious place. Authentic Kerala cuisine. Price that is affordable. Valet parking. What more you want ?
Place to have authentice Kerala style food.
Food taste and service is really Good. It would be more pleasant if they kept hand drier or Tisseus near by wash basin.
Awesome Kerala food...one should not miss the aappam...it went gratis with kadlai curry
Average quality and taste. You wont get taste of traditional kerala foods.
Meals good.. chicken gravy just horrible.. boiled chicken on some spicy water.. :(
A good restaurant when u eat out with kids.... Good food...
One of the best restaurant for authentic Kerala foods. If you like beef then its a must try place.
Slowly losing its charm.. Lack of salt in all of the food.. The side dishes lack the grue Kerala flavour.. Running out of steam!
The Malabar Partha was so soft and crispy loved ♥️ it with butter chicken and kadai chicken 😘😋😋
