Excellent place for typical South India foods. The taste of the sambar and chutneys are something perfect for dosas and idlies. I would not think twice before giving a five star rating.

This has been my regular place whenever I come to Forum Mall Vadapalani. Such a great place for vegetarians. It has a slight premium pricing, but worth I would say.

Ordered onam sadhya from here and was promised a delivery from 11:30 to 13:00 hours. At 15:30 hours we are still hungry and unable to reach any of the contacts or delivery executives to enquire the status of the order. The dishes passed off as Ada pradhaman and ambalapuzha payasam were burnt and so was the paruppu curry. All 24 dishes lacked seasoning and the beetroot pachadi was too bland. While all items in the sadhya are as promised in numbers the taste is not that of authentic kerala food. Points for packaging and labeling of dishes. Extremely poor service and will not recommend placing orders through delivery.

For the chapati roll the vegetables and paneer had been freshly sauted and the spices were flavourful.Loved the place. Very good value for money. Will be back.

Onam sadhya was so bad ....They did not serve a leaf and said that during discount they would not serve on a leaf nor the entire menu. Quantity is very very poor and customer service was very bad . I will never refer this place to anyone.

Having visited various ID restaurants in town, its now a sort of habit to watch a movie and head to ID. Today we had a brunch with hot Pongal, vadai and idlis. Service is always spot on, attentive (Chutneys were refilled without us even asking for it). I always look forward to going there, next time we want to try the thali.

D food was awesome.service was great.idlis were soft Nd piping hot.but I wish the person serving us wud have worn his mask properly and worn gloves while serving food.covid protocols must b strictly followed.people preparing and serving food should wear masks and gloves and also I noticed the person preparing food was using his cell phone while making food.pls cover utensils like spoons and other cultery do not keep it in open.cover it with brown paper covers which actually Ive noticed in some shops which serve food.covid protocols must b followed for this time.if poss try using disposables for safety.i was v v happy with food but covid protocols must b followed.pls cover plates bowls and spoons after they r washed also ask staff to wear masks while preparing and serving.

Went to ID for a glass of milk for my kid.We were roaming for about 3-4 hours hence the bottle had to be washed with Hot Water.When I requested them they immediately helped me and ensured it was well washed and packed a glass of milk. Milk was piping hot and hence they made sure it is little warm so that when baby tastes it is not very hot. Thanks a lot for the amazing gesture and this small service is something every customer looks forward to. Keep up your good service.

The food was ok..

Restaurant is very good. Food tastes best but the price of the items is higher that other comparable restaurants. All the dishes were good and tasty. But the restaurant was kind of crowded during weekends. The only problem was that the washroom was not maintained properly. Otherwise it will definitely be a best restaurant.

Good price, good food. Service was very prompt. They serve like how we serve at home. I was intrigued by their plates too! Nothing exceptional though. Good to go if youre hungry and around or are craving South Indian food.

The food is very good. The staff here are humble. However the service time is a little too high to even take the order. Looks like they are understaffed. The air conditioning could be better. Since this place serves amazing vegetarian Andhra style food, this place is mostly full. Amazing food though..

Cofee quality has become sooooo bad

I visited the place today.. writing the review standing out..Food, taste, wait time are good... I placed tip for the waiter as I felt the service was better.. the supervisor standing around forcefully got it from him.. the supervisor was rude in his behaviour and making noise around the place... unpleasant behaviour.. management should take action on this to avoid future dissatisfaction from customers..

It was really amazing. But the service was too slow & we had to wait for such a long time to get the food. But the hygiene and taste of the food was well preserved.

Food is good. Wash should be maintained. There is no tissues kept near the wash because of this when people wash their hands and spill the water on the white coloured floor, it becomes too dirty. They dont mop the floor.

I placed order for three south Indian meals through Swiggy with very high expectations of a tasty food. But got disappointed. The taste was average, quantity was very small and the packaging of the food was horrible. Not Worth for the money paid. Probably those who have visited the restaurant would have got a good taste and experience.

Decent place for South Indian tiffin items. Prices are on the higher end when compared to quantity and taste. Food is pretty decent and staff take good care. Orders take a while and billing takes a while. But this is the best option for a quick dosa and coffee after you spent few hours walking . Their coffee, tea and vadas are great.

Went to have dinner with my wife around 730 pm. Restaurant was relatively free with lot of vacant tables. We were asked to take the small table of 2 chairs. We enquired if table of 4 was available to sit comfortably side by side the supervisor or the manager did not even have minimum required politeness to answer and was harsh in his reply that we cannot sit. With bad experience, i was in no mood to eat anything even if they offered it free. So much for the customer experience. God save ID.

Very very very bad service and attitude shown by waiter velan and his counterpart . Both were showing rude face.even the biller came and he didnt even care when i said service was bad and i am a dissappointed customer. No one said sorry for their rude behaviour. Since all this irritated me a lot the main focus of salty chutney and bitter garlic dosa didnt bother me at all.

Nice restaurant has south Indian dishes. Seating arrangement looks good. Serving plates are different look. Staffs are ambience and polite. Cost wise it is expensive but food is tasty and quality. Pongal is yummy. Dosa varieties are good. Adai is yummy

We are a Jain family, ID is one of the few resturants in Chennai which offers Jain Sambhar. Perfect family place for high quality south indian food. Must for veggies like me.

Standards of food and quality of serv8CE have come down considerably. Went on Saturday one day before Diwali for dinner. It was utter chaos, the floor was littered with pieces of food. Service was so delayed.Yet its too pricey. Except Pongal and Vada all other menu were not worth it.

Keera vada made freshly and hot. For one vada 65 is very high. Poori with aloo bhaji ok. Nice if aloo bhaji can be served hot

Best live south Indian restaurants.. love for its authentic taste.ambience is very good and serves very fast. Must try parota( very soft crispy and yummy) and kurma has mouthwatering taste.

First time Ive been to an ID outlet. It definitely lived up to its expectations! I had the podi ghee dosai. It was so flavourful and delicious. The sambhar and chutneys were also great. Ending with their filter coffee, I had a wonderful South Indian tiffen.

This place was good. The dosas and side dishes were awesome! Coffee was even better. I tried their ghee dosa, mysore masala dosa and roasted garlic dosa. The roasted garlic dosa was perhaps the best. However, the service needs to improve a lot.

To he coconut milk served with Idiyappam turned sour already and the same was served to customers.Unfortunate.The wash basin was stinking and not at all cleaned.Indifferent attitude by waiters.Nit a pleasant experience overall
