Always we were inn to Shalimar for Prawn biriyani..For this time we tried Tandoori chicken.Chicken was well cooked and served with Pudhina chutney its a good combination.

My favourite frequent go restaurant they serve very good food amd price also affordable. Must try dishes are Hyderabadi chicken/mutton biriyani, Chettinad chicken briyani chicken lolipop & chicken 65 and tandooriand fish fingers.. those basic dishes are also tastes heaven.

Fried Rice items Very Bad, We Ordered Prawn Fried Rice vegetables pieces are 🥕 carrots,beans big pieces we cant eat,its like a Carrots beans poriya, paid 200 Rupees for this Prawn Fried Rice kottu poriyal.Totally Fried Rice items 0/10,Better Change ur Chinese Master.

I love the taste of food from the chef of this hotel shalimar! The mostly I like to have mutton briyani from here.....Rates are moderated one and also they are giving good customer service and also the packing of food is good in this hotel...This is one of the oldest restaurant of the perambur which is located in front of perambur railway station.....

Excellent aatu kaal paya!!The idiapam was also goodOne thing disappointing is that they are not serving the idiapam or aapam hot 🙃They say their TEA is famous but I felt it was too sweet😕

It was a splendid stay.... We the group of 7 were so relieved that the Hotel was so near to the station. Describing about the food... was so delicious . Matching to every culture and traditions. The service were so excellent that it attracts everyone to visit now and then .

Good quality tea is available here.And morning time paya - idiyappam is outstanding.

Server can be little more kind. Liked shalimar mutton biriyani and it was more than enough in quantity too for me. Chicken lollipop was good too. Try it out guys!

The best place for parotta and mutton curry in perambur surrounding. I have been eating in this hotel for the past 12 years, the taste and the service remains the same. Anyone feels hungry and need a big date with chettinadu foods, heres the best try for you.

I am the customer of this hotel for the past 10 years and more. I love the dishes.

The hotel is quite old but the taste is still the same. Non-veg is just great here. Mutton briyani, idiyappam paayaa are ordered often. People take away parata here which is now 12rs per piece. Overall its nice to have some good nonveg food.

Quality and taste of the food is good. Price is reasonable. Hotel is not spacious so take away will be better option.

Great place for Paratta and kurma lovers. This place is run by a team of chefs from Kerala and they are open at 7am and mutton/chicken kurma , mutton paya and most non vegetarian items are available so early. The rates are average, 4 parattas and quater mutton kurma costed rs 160/- the biriyani was ready by 8am and it was South India style basmati rice which was good. This place is right opposite to the permabur railway station/ bus stand and is very convenient.

Budget friendly typical non veg restaurant. Must try briyani, fish curry, egg masala and star chicken masala. These are my favorites here... Non a/c suitable for take away if you dont like dine in. But its neat and clean as we have a family block in first floor. I always prefer take away!

Shalimar has been in Perambur for many years and is very famous for his Parrotha and mutton paya. He is one of the few resturants that provide non-vegetarian food near Perambur railway station. Shalimar is in a way a landmark for itself. Its a must try place for new non-vegetarian comers to Perambur.

Cards will not be accepted in this hotel so keep money while you have food here.apart from that taste are good.

Nice non veg restaurant .... Typically run by Kerala Muslims.... So you could taste a bit of Kerala style in their dishes. The pricing is also moderate and affordable.
