Excellent food and service! The restaurant is easy to find and is in a prime location. Despite the pandemic situation the place was packed - a testament to how appetizing their food is. I would recommend booking a table before hand. Its slightly on the expensive side but the quality and the quantity is worth paying so much.The only downside is finding a parking spot if you arrive by car.

The only place which serves Biryani made specifically for kids. The Biryani is a joke here, so bland that you cannot even find the smallest traces of any spices, we had mutton soup, mutton keema curry, samco special chicken bbq, prawns fry, mutton dum biriyani and Sheikh kabab except the soup rest were bad choices, insted try Barotta, Idiyappam with paya and mutton chops Its good and thats the only reason I am giving two stars. Take lot of money with you if you plan to have your food here.

Garlic naan, gudbud ice cream, coconut puding is good. The Mutton Rogan Josh disappointed me, which is taste like kind of normal mutton gravy..they chooses the mutton ribs parts for the gravy which is also not ok.

Was is hunger hunt. Didnt have anything in mind other than just to eat some good chicken. Then we entered SAMCO and ordered GRILL chicken 🤤 Happy Tummy.P.S. The red sauce they gave was just 🥺❤️ If they dont, please ask. Dont miss that.

Today we bought Mutton biriyani , the mutton was horrible. Not a single piece was good. Chicken kurma was good. But never I have had such a awesomely bad mutton. I doubt whether its mutton or .....

I’m regular visitor of Samco since 2007 (before renovation), this time tried BBQ Chicken mandi, The Mayo they provide was awesome, Mandi was great but my all time favourite is Samco Special Chicken Biriyani...

Been there for lunch in July.For the price you pay , you expect the quality in all aspects and this place failed miserably.Parking is a pain to start with. Once inside, nobody bothered to seat us.The washroom was so dirty and people trying to shove through but the sign clearly as says one at a time.Mediocre food and the garlic naan was rubbery like stale chewing gum.I wish the management treat customers and improve the quality of the food, else it would be a victim of complacency.

Pros:Totally loved the taste of few dishes we had.Cons:Pricey, slow service and non veg platter is not that good. Non veg platter definitely not recommended.

Samco is one of the oldest and most famous place for non vegetarian food in Chennai. Biriyani and tandoori items are famous here and you would really love it.. I have been to this restaurant for so many years and place online order as well. Every dish is good here and dine in service is quick here. This is exactly opposite to cauvery hospital at Alwarpet and parking are easily available on the adjacent streets.. I can see plenty families visit here quite often and restaurant is busy on most days.. when you visit this place, Try mutton and fish biriyani, tandoori items as well. Must visit place non veg food lovers.

This is the worst kind of hotel which I have experienced till now... I had stayed friends few hrs on kharch 18.In return of filth n uncleaned rooms, it was quite difficult to pass even 5 hrs in that hotel.. I suggest everyone to avoid this hotel

We tried their chicken 65 biriyani and prawn Biriyani. Both the biriyanis taste and quantity were good. Also their tandoori chicken was superb. Their service was good and food was served quickly. Food is Worth the money we pay for. Ambience was also good and didnt find any issues with parking. Looking for non veg hotel with good ambience and decent pricing this would be the perfect place.

Consistently amazing. I have been going here for the past 9 years, every time I go to Chennai and their biryani, aappam, malabar chicken curry, tender coconut dessert etc are simply scrumptious

We went for lunch, was crowded, they tested temperature and gave sanitizer more of a formality it looked. It was crowded and no body bothered about crowdWe ordered Egg kothu parotta and to our surprise they refused to give raitha and gravy and expected us to buy a curry seperately. Atrocious behaviour. Why compel people to buy a 300rs curry for a 170rs kothu parotta. Every hotel gives gravy and raitha but Samco wont.Mutton biryani was bland, Oily and had exactly 4 small mutton pieces and the quantity was very less for 270rs.Tender coconut pudding was spoiled and smelled bad and lemon soda which we asked with Biryani came after we were done. They refused to give lemon soda one by 2 and we poured ourselves in the glass kept there. Not sure what will happen if they do that themselves.Wouldnt go again considering the price, quantity and the attitude not to serve gravy for parota.

The meal was too good. It is famous for its kizhi parotta. Its a must try dish at Samco. All the dishes were delicious in every cuisine thats offered and not just south indian. The service was great inspite of the packed and busy dining.

I’m a fan for desi cuisine and so I wanted to try samco for a long time.One fine evening I had a chance to have dinner over here.Sweet corn chicken soup - one of its best in the town.Aatukaal soup - blown away! Cos I had the real taste which I used to drink in childhood.Parotta - perfect! Small, crispy and flaky. The exact parotta I was craving for long time.Pepper paya - signature dish I wanted to try and it’s out of the world. Not like typical paya, it was thick and rich in pepper.Mutton pepper fry - nothing different and an usual one, but was tasting good.Chicken masala - also one of their signature dish, thick and it was a whole new taste. Didn’t expect that coming. Was very good and a must eat.Chocolate brownie - usual eats and taste was not bad at allCarrot halwa with ice cream - most of the restaurants don’t serve this combo and this was tasting really good. I had so many dishes, mentioning the one I liked the most was dynamite chicken which they have added new in their menu. Its a must try if you are to visit the restaurant. In deserts sizzling brownie and falooda are my favorites which as always taste yum but here they were extra delicious. A perfect place for a family lunch or dinner. Service was good.

Simply Love the consistent tasty food here. Ate Mutton Biriyani, idiyappam, Paya it tasted best. Not only non veg items are good, they serve tasty vegetarian food as well. My wife is a vegetarian and she ordered butter naan and Dhaal makani it was awesome as well. It’s been our all time favorite restaurant and don’t mind traveling 20kms for the deliciousness.

Well known for non vegetarian choices. Quite limited when it comes to vegetarian dishes, we had parata and green peace masala along with veg spring roll starters. Quite amazed with the bill that came after, the paratas were quite filling and the green peas masala was on point. Overall, very happy with the experience but sometimes there may be a que outside, try to make it an early dinner.

Except the delay in serving everything is fine.
