Located in a not-so-wide alley in Nanganallur, this outlet has sweets/savories/chaat items on ground floor with minimal seating. Fine dining and party hall are in upper floors. There is very limited parking facility available. Their sweets & savories are of good standard. Billing time needs to be improved. Most of the staff do not understand Tamizh as they seem to be from North India. Good to see them being employed

Located near to GRT jewellers in Nanganallur in a busy street. Ground floor is mostly parcel and take away purpose,dining is on first and second floor. Nothing new is there to be spoken about A2B in Chennai. Food quality and service are damn good and slightly expensive also. Thalis are available only during lunch time and personally felt that dessert variety is less compared to other outlets of A2B.

Nowadays taste of this hotel is not good as before covid.total parcel area is for swiggy and Zomato. Comparing to other hotels.this one is good.

Excellent ambience & customer service, it lives up to the brand name of Adyar Ananda Bhavan. It is located in interior Nanganallur where youd least expect it to be. The taste is a standard by itself & is a must try place for any meal.

Everytime I eat here I feel the taste better than the last. I love their dosas, puris and vadas. Coffees are great too. I feel no other place in Ooty compares to their breakfast. I am a non-vegetarian yet I would choose A2B rather than any other non veg place for breakfast.

The AC wasn’t working. Only one pedestal fan was there in the entire ground floor for 4 tables. Lot of heat inside the restaurant as it’s summer. First floor was closed as of now may be due to corona. This outlet is located in a residential area hence not much crowd. But Lot of food delivery guys were there. May be People prefer take away from this restaurant as its in a interior residential area.

Recently i bought krishna Jayanthi pack of pakshanams in pack it is mentioned the list of totally 9 items however actually there was only 8items , pepper thattai was actually missing no proper response from the shop even though I have raised it with branch manager, not sure how many pack has this deficiency

My experience with adyar anandha bhavan is always a delightful experience.The food here is always tasty..It is easily located.. It has wide range of dishes ranging from south Indian ones to the north Indian dishes... Even Chinese...It has also got a sweet and savouries section....

Know of the busiest place during lunch time. Needed to literally wait for 40 min to 1hr for takeaway which over crowded by food delivery partners.

Visited the place for late lunch ie around 230pm with my family. dining hall is on the 1st floor and ground floor is primarily for sweets and savouries. Limited parking space is there outside the premises. My daughter wanted to have dosa and idli but unfortunately these items werent available. Apparently, dosas and idlis are only made available after 4pm and not during lunch time. Meals were being served. We ended up buying sweets and savouries instead of having lunch there due to the unavailability of tiffin dishes.

One of the worst branches of A2B , Food quality is quite decent , but AC not working , no ice water to drink , staffs and manager not available . Very poor service

This was the worst breakfast experience Ive ever had. The place was open and we asked whether dining was available and they said yes. But when we went in, we werent allowed to go into the dining hall and were made to sit in the primary hall. Service was very bad and nothing was brought on time. And when it was brought, it was very cold so we sent it back. We werent given water even after repeatedly asking for it and we left with a very bad dining experience. The food was good but the sweets werent. This was so unlike A2B.

The workers keep asking personal details to me repeatedly and trying to touch my kids . My kids and myself doesn’t appreciate any staff touching my kids or asking personal details of my house details and many !There is no use even after repeated reporting to the manager in the shop !I have personally informed police department to take action against these type of workers asking personal details or touching kids !I warn anyone who try to touch the kids and take it for granted on their own !

Foods and its taste are not upto the mark. I have ordered chilli parota which is very salty and more oil. And I have informed to supervisor and they have not charged for that which is appreciated since it is not good.

Ambience good.. however when I visited on Sunday night, some of the items were not there...no ice-cream and no falooda...Dosa items are good and tasty...soup quantity is too little for its price and the taste is average.. never order for 1/2.. you will get nothing...mini idli with sambar was disappointing... this hotel doesnt have a toothpick.. though its not customary, no harm in having it, as it helps in relieving anything that gets into the teeth after having the food... Paneer 65 and Gobi 65 were really good..

Went to Chennai for a short one day visit. Googled the best vegetarian resturant near the airport. Adyar showed up with good ratings. Thought I’d give it a try. Got an Uber. The location in google map is nearly 200 meter away from the actual location. Little bit of confusion there finally had to get down and ask. Now the review. have only one word. Mouth watering. I’ve tried meals at various Tamil veg restaurants in dubai and non of those comes near to this. I asked the waiter the curry that looks like sambar which tasted so good. He couldn’t understand that. Finally he brought it. Anyways a very fulfilling and satisfying experience.

Service is always poor. Staff attitude is worst. Cost not worth the service. Bought parcel dosas after a years time here. Both masala dosa & ghee roast not properly done on the inner side. Road side dosa would have been far better. Avoid this place if possible.

I would say its a all in one restaurant.. you can sweets they have it... You want Ive cream they have it... You want fresh juice they have it... You want any vegetarian cuisine they have it. I would recommend a nice Friday dinner with family... Might be but heavy on the pockets but you would change those thoughts after the taste hits your taste buds.. Youll not regret it.
