I as an individual has some basic ideas on investment and also investing in random mutual funds and some shares for the last three to four years. I had also taken a housing loan eight years before for which only very small portion has been adjusted against the principal as on that date. I’d not done my due diligence on the changed environment in which the company was now operating, the fast drying order pipeline and the margin squeeze.I ultimately sold my shares below the price recommended by ithoughtwealth more than a year later !Alstom Projects went up 50% after 18 months but again ithoughtwealth’s process dictates that it is imperative to move moneys swiftly in the investment book to ensure that the portfolio is positioned for outperformance.I could have done much better if I’d switched to ithoughts recommendation of an aggressive but steady, reliable, fast grower like Rane Madras which went up 4 times over in the same periodInstead of doing your own research to pick out the best fund / the hot hand, which in practical terms means nothing more than browsing hundreds of websites (most of whom don’t have any stake in your welfare) and piecing together means nothing but checking Shyam’s team does this for you and this means also switching between funds in 2 ways : First, switching from your liquid fund to the equity fund when a market correction makes prices look attractive and Secondly, switching between funds when an existing theme has run its course and a better situation presents itself. That way your money keeps earning close to 7% before its deployed in stocks and is lying “idle”.Subscribers who didn’t log in early missed :The 6 fold rise in Sundaram ClaytonThe 120% rise in Pfizer not counting a Mouthwatering Special Dividend of Rs.300 per share adding another mouthwatering 30% without even a single rupee rise in the share price.The 3 fold gain in TCS touted continuously by ithoughtwealth for 3 consecutive years AFTER IT HAD GONE UP 5 FOLD in the last decade (Shyam was also the FIRST to predict that TCS would overtake Infosys as the most valuable IT company and that market leadership would change hands to TCS)Shyam also put out a SELL on Gold in early 2010 after which the Negative returns on Gold touched a low of 30% and is currently 20% off its high even 5 years later and makes investing in Fixed Deposits look exciting.Being positioned to benefit from the phenomenal rise in tech stocks when the rupee crashed to 70 from 55. Shyam’s call on the overvaluation of the rupee based on the REER (Real effective Exchange Rate) enabled subscribers to be in position for the rout of the broad market and mop up the gains in IT stocks purely due to the rupee depreciation. During 2010 when there was all round panic in the financial markets, anxious parents were scrambling to arrange additional funds for their children studying abroad due to the fast rising US Dollar, subscribers of ithoughtwealth were ringing in gains of more than 50% in a single month due to the rupee depreciation.
