Chittagong War Cemetery is a cemetery of world war 2 soldiers who died fighting the war. It is situated on Badshah Mia road behind the Amirbagh residential area.This place is quite calm and beautiful. It is well maintained and have a nice view. The place is closed after 5 pm and there is a break too from 12 pm to 2 pm. Generally couples and students pay their visit to this place. The place is very clean and there is always a guard who always keeps his eyes on the visitors.This place is not that much crowder and no food stall or any other stalls are placed around this place which makes it more calm I guess. This place makes you to respect the martyrs of the WW2.

This is a famous cemetary in Chittagong where there are the graves of soldiers who died in the Second World War. Its is maintained by Commonwealth War Graves Commission. This cemetary is so neat and clean. Very nicely organized. The people assciated with it really takes ome good care. Local people will not recognize it as War Cemetary. You have to call The Christian Graveyerd.

Its one of the very nice place in Chittagong. Though its a cemetery the environment is fully green and above the hill. A lot of people come here everyday with their friends and passes their good time here. Its a historical place also as the cemetery is for the special people. Its near the Chittagong Medical College and the transport is very fine all around from this cemetery. All day long people come here. So its a very nice place to come from any place of the city.

I think the name of this tomb should be Chittagong 2nd World War cemetery, anyway Due to the training of the army during the war and the convenience of the British General Hospital at 152, this Allied camp was established in Chittagong by the Allied forces. The hospital was active from December 1944 until October 1945. Initially, it was possible to bury about 400 dead under the care of the army #letsguides

One of the best attractive place of Chittagong. It is at the heart of Chittagong. Though it is a graveyard for the Martys of World War two at Burma front, it is full of green grass above the hill. It is still maintained by Commonwealth Trust. Stones are placed in the memory of Martys with their name. It is a holy place with a very cool and peacefull environment.

This was a very moving experience for me especially as I had not visited a war cemetery. The cemetery is very well maintained and the abbey can be seen from the cemetery. Those who, lost their lives were all young. so it was so sad to see and serves as a reminder that we should not be dragged into a war. This is a very moving cemetery and memorial garden in an extraordinary setting. Highly recommended for those even with little interest.

Chittagong War Cemetery is in Dampara locality, No.19 Badsha Mia Chowdhury Road, 22 kilometres north of the airport and 8 kilometres from the port on a site which was formerly paddy fields, but which has now been developed. It is near the arts college and close by Finlays Guest Houses near Chatteshanry Road; a well known road leading to the Hindu Kali Bari Temple. There is no C.W.G.C. road direction sign. The Burial area is situated at the bottom of a slope directly behind Finlays Guest Houses and is surrounded by a large area planted with a mixture of jungle trees,fruit trees and flowering trees. It is not easily seen from the road. A narrow tarmacked lane leads from the entrance gate to the burial area which is entered through a metal gate flanked by two small brick chapels. The cemetery gates are open from 07.00 to 12 noon and 14.00 to 17.00. Within the cemetery will also be found the Chittagong Memorial which, together with the Bombay 1939-1945 War Memorial, to be found in the Indian Seamens Hostel Bombay, commemorates over 400 sailors of the former Indian Navy and nearly 6,000 sailors of the former Indian Merchant Navy who were lost at sea during the war years. Each memorial takes the form of a finely bound volume containing the names of the dead.

This place is extremely beautiful. Very neat and clean .But the staff are very ill mannered. They dont know to behave with the visitors in a civic manner. The closing time is 5.00 pm. But they start forcing the visitors out of the cemetery 20 minutes before closing time. Already the opening hours are very odd which is 2-5 in evening. The higher authority should try to educate their staffs in terms of manner and allow the visitors to stay untill 5.00 pm instead of 4.40 pm. I would have given it 5 stars but am forced to give 3 star rating only because of those ill mannered working staffs of the premise

Very nice place to getting touch of nature in the heart of Chittagong city.

This is the grave yard of Second World War. The solders of different countries and different relegious are buried here. The place is so quite and clean and the authority create restriction to make noise. The opening hour is 7am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm and no entry fee is required. The hill side environment is awesome. No car parking is available inside. Road side parking is little bit risky. Wheel chair accessible is allowed.

You can breath easily here. A calm place to hang out for reason. Historical place. Timing should be changed.
