Very poor customer service. Young staff were very abrupt. Hours stated they were open until 5pm, walked in at 3pm and told we would be the last customers and that we could only order something small. Staff then came up to us at 330pm and very abruptly told us they were closing and to go up and pay. Owners really need to look into the way their staff are communicating with customers and correct that. Would not recommend and spread the word about the extremely poor experience at Cafe Fresh.

Its good they serve food into late pm. The problem is the young, arrogant girls who work there. Communication and customer service is very lacking. Service slow. Very noisy throwing cutlery into trays in main eating area for the entire wait and eating time. Need to learn how to be respectful.

One of the best cafes in Newcastle, hands-down. A great range of snacks/meals on the menu, and really friendly service. Even though it’s usually incredibly busy, the wait-time is pretty good.I’ve had work meetings or catch-ups with friends at Fresh, and it’s perfect for either. Thoroughly recommend.

Food was horrible. Service non existent.I ordered the Vitality Bowl going for something healthy. I got a bowl full of leaves, never seen so many leaves for $20. It was shown to the manager as I explained all I got was a bowl full of leaves, she told me that’s how it is, I told her how disappointed I was & again she stated that’s how it is. Thanks for nothing. I won’t be back.👎👎👎

We ordered a sandwich and coffee, none of them was up to standards, sandwich was little and boring and coffee tasted like water... we had really good service from the staff, we wont be going back as we think it was over priced for what we got👎

Only reason I gave 3 stars is the coffee was good. Seating crowded and uncomfortable. And it was very hot in the cafe, cool outside , I was fanning myself the whole time. Even waitresses were complaining. Wont be going back

Terrible service, ordered scone plus raisan toast with coffees, coffee Luke warm, food came out 6 minutes later, scone was like rubber and raisan toast was soggy. When they gave us our food she said thanks ladies I was with my husband, so rude she was a lady in her fifties. I advised her upon payment the issues, she tried to overcharge us.Would never go there again.

Took a long time to get an order of scones n cream n coffee and the bottom of the scone was so tough couldnt eat it, very disappointed

Visiting from out of Town and came across this lovely cafe. Delicious Food & Coffee with such Friendly staff.

Inexperienced service and an excessive wait for a slice and coffee. Was also brought out the wrong slice after having to ask where it was.

Food - OK but expensive for what it was.Service - sooooo slooooowwwww!!. Cant understand why, cafe was only half full, not busy at all.

Staff where slow and appeared board. Wife orderd at same time, her food arrived well after I had finished mine. My eggs where overcooked, the rest of my big breakfast was very oil heavy. The hashbrown disintegrated and a very heavy taste of oil. Coffee was a light roast and flavorless also a lot of foam for a latte. Wife says tea was weak, although scone was very nice. We wanted to like the place but found it lacking. Wont be back.

Had a nice lunch here, although service was a little on the slow side. Also asked for extra crunchy chips and that didnt happen but the meal, a chicken and mushroom vol u vent with hot chips and salad was lovely. Could have done without the chips and salad could have been bigger. Gave it 6/10.

✨Fresh, clean & bright, I love this Cafe. There are so many tasty choices on the menu, along with seasonal specials. I really enjoy the salad bowls, with added salmon, yum! The meals are the right size for the price & always plated up beautifully 😍 I have a weakness for an Affogato & the coffee here is delish 😋☕ I like that there is lots of choice for seating too. I can sit by the window & watch the world going by; or if Im feeling like alone time, theres a corner to tuck myself in to; along with plenty of tables for a group to meet up. Natalie & all of her staff are really lovely & accommodating if you have a special request💕

Couldnt fault the meal (breakfast) we had this morning.The corn cakes were flavoursome and huge, served with a great salsa, bacon and fried egg. Recommend you try it.My wife had bacon & scrambled eggs with toast. Bacon was lovely & eggs tasted like real eggs, not the bland things many cafes call eggs.My smoothie (banana & passionfruit) was full of flavour.Mid priced, but good value.

Food is great but after the customer service dont think Ill be going there again. I was told a table would be reserved and when I called i was told no table and than was hung up on. Tried calling right back and no answer.

My waitresss have always been super polite and helpful and coffee is always good.Big menu with something for everyone but the main reason I come here is the vibes and view, best café in Charlestown square.

Ordered a mediocre coffee yesterday when the blond barista hands me the coffee and spills the hot coffee over my hand:no apologies or nothing. Cold attitude😩.

Yummy sweet corn fritters with smoked salmon. The coffee was great too.

Lovely staff, nice views, fast service and coffee was a low price BUT coffee was terrible! Like a bad instant coffee. I ended up throwing it out after one sip. I guess you get what you pay for.

Really decent, casual local cafe perched over the street outside. Tables are not too tightly packed in. The food is pretty good too.

I had the prawn mornay melt and my friends had the super bowl. Delicious and fast service.

Really good coffee (could have been hotter) plenty of seating and great service make this cafe a must visit. Recharge yourself while doing your last minute Christmas shopping.

Lovely food. However service was a little slow, and they got my order wrong.

Poached eggs were snotty. Returned and asked for scrambled instead. They had shell in them. Server was passive aggressive and fake. Dont go here. Terrible.

All my daughter wanted was a straw for her coke but u said no.so she had to buy a brownie to get the straw..why couldnt u ask for 25 cents thats all there worthps dry horrible brownies

Everything Ive eaten is beautiful

First time customers.. After prompt initial service followed by a tasty meal we were soon disappointed with the excess time taken to serve coffees having placed the order with the food order and also the fact that business had slowed. Appears staff forgot the coffee order and didnt seem to care. Will have second thoughts of returning.

I crave their eggs Benedict. CRAVE! My cravings are met each & everytime here. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
