Electronics and Communication Department has to face the challenges of bridging the gap of advancing technology, emerging ideas, current trends and the curriculum. Established in 1983 the department has an intake capacity of 90. The all-pervasive technology and electronic gadgets demand dynamism in imparting knowledge to the students. The department is well equipped to address to these demands. It has qualified & experienced faculty and operational laboratories to deal with the latest trends in the electronics engineering.   From mobile phones to optical communication and from wireless sensor networks to embedded systems there are exciting avenues to explore and work on projects. The knowledge imparted in the classroom teaching and practical experience gained while working on projects and in well-equipped laboratories of the department the students shape their domain knowledge and get ready to pursue careers in this constantly evolving discipline.For the technical inputs beyond the curriculum, the department organizes seminars, workshops, guest lecturers throughout the session. The department has to its credit a grant of Rs. 5 lakhs from AICTE, Government of India for the improvement of UHF laboratory.
