The historical embracing of Buddhism, the ‘Deeksha’ ceremony, by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and his followers took place in Chandrapur in 1956. Babasaheb Ambedkar embraced Buddhism along with his family members on 14 October 1956 at Nagpur. Soon after that, Babasaheb Ambedkar, converted millions of his followers who came from several parts of the country, to Buddhism. On 16 October 1956 Dr. B. R. Ambedkar gave Diksha of Buddhism to his followers at Chandrapur must visit it iS beautiful place of chandrapur.😀😘

At this place My inspiration and father of Indian constitution was arrived and thousands of people were accepted Buddhism. This place very inspirational. Every year in the month of October the Buddhist people gather here and unite to build up the Babashebs nation. Dikshabhoomi chandrapur is also having one degree college named as Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar college. Big hall with 10 feet height Buddha statue inside. Excellent place to visit and join Varshavas.
