Lab in sector 38 is on the process of setting up. There are four four units namely sexual assault and homicide, paternity, human identification and mitochondrial unit to deal with different kind of cases.Setting up job is in full swing. CFSL Chandigarh is a department under the Directorate of Forensic Science, Ministry of Home Affairs.Which helps police and law in investigation related to crime.CFSL Chandigarh is a Forensic Science Lab under the Central Government.Apart from Chandigarh, this lab is in Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bhopal.Apart from this, CBI has its own forensic lab named CBI CFSL in Delhi.
